In Parma, a lot of the restaurants and bistros are in the city center, and the menu is pretty similar from place to place.
My friend wanted to try proscuitto crudo, since that is what the area is known for, along with parmesan cheese.
Surprisingly, there were a handful of vegetarian-friendly pasta dishes, including a pumpkin ravioli dish.
It came with 10 sufficiently-stuffed ravioli, and while it looked dry, there was a thin butter glaze over everything. The pumpkin "zucca" filling was incredibly delicious, sweetly earthy!
I also used some of the complimentary bread to mop up the extra oil/sauce.
My friend's proscuitto tray came with plenty slices of meat, along with a block of parmesan on top of rucola.
