We all agreed we should've booked more trips for the week. Guess we'll just have to visit again. I have seen families basking in the sun or cooling off in the water durring the hot months and I have seen fishermen wadding in trying to catch the prized salmon durring the cold early spring. For Kayakers, there is an old ramp going down the the water. It is not a smooth transition to the water as the bottom of the ramp is missing and also the top is blocked so you will have to carry your craft down to the water. Once in the water it is a cool and beautiful journey down to the Willamette. The pull out on my last trip was the Molalla state park. Summer time is good for that as you may have to portage some areas when the water is low. I haven't floated this part in the spring yet. Maybe this year.

I totally fell in the water, haha!). It was totally my fault but both were quick to help me and they did such a great job not making me feel bad about it. Helpful Tips: * If you're taking a class, know that the kayak, the paddle and the life vest are provided. * If you plan to bring your phone with you on the kayak, make sure to bring an airtight bag to keep your phone in it. We had one already but I saw that they sold them in their store, too! Oh, and it's worth mentioning... the company was very understanding even though we arrived five minutes late (our GPS turned us around and we got lost heading to the class). Of course, try your best to avoid being late, but it was great knowing they were understanding about it. It made us feel extremely comfortable! My wife and I are definitely coming back!

He did a great job correcting our strokes. It was clear he had the knowledge of the sport as well as the understanding to be able to offer corrective feedback. I explained to worker the price discrepancy and asked why the difference. He stated "oh, that was for our Oregon location and Washington charges sales tax. If you don't know, just tell the customer you don't know why the rate is different. Don't make up stuff, especially some asinine excuse about sales tax. So the tax would be $100.00 even? (I give him an A for effort, but an F for intelligence) Anyhow, my advice is book online. I am leery of actually renting now since I can imagine the bait and switch that will occur when they list the rental for $50.00 but charge you $150.00. Anyhow, I won't be back. Not worth the hassle of teenagers handling this operation. Renter beware...

**COVID REVIEW**…read more Super cute new neighborhood park in River Terrace. It has both a "big" and "little" kid play area. In the little kid area there is what my kids deemed an "obstacle" course. It was a lot of fun for them to get out and into the sunshine. When we arrived the other two families that were there were masked and observing social distancing. There is a basketball court a bit further towards the intersection for kids and in between the big and little kid areas there is a covered shelter which would be nice in the warmer days to come. The equipment is all brand new and a lot of fun. My kids are both nearly 6&8 and loved the slides and climbing. As far as COVID protocols it's not monitored so it's up to individual families. We left, as did the two other families that arrived at the same time as we did, when two very large groups who were both unmasked, arrived. Nothing you can do except leave! I would definitely try it again but maybe not "after" school hours. The parking is only street parking if you drive there and it's not plentiful.
