Placed an order for some bacon for me and femur bones for my dog. Went and did a pickup. The order was ready when I got there. The was wrapped in paper and the bone were in a ten pound bag. The young lady at the counter was super friendly and very helpful. While I was there I placed another order to pick up a week later. This is a very good place to business with.

Farm field table is cool, if you love your meats and you want the best come to Ferndale and check out this place. Their choice beef and pork they have is very good. They are really helpful and can point you in the right direction selecting a cut of meat. And I liked the fresh made then frozen sausages that they had and their freezer. Oh and they had some sliced brisket that I took home and it was great. The meats that they offer are a little pricey but I enjoyed all the selections that I went home with. I won't hesitate to come back and spend some money on the good stuff. If you love your meat come check this place out I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy.

Thick cut paleo bacon that has no nitrates and no gmo feed.

I am ordering product wholesale because of what I do, but this is a small place and they take great pride in checking the product of their meat, and they also have a cheese counter. They do sell retail but they butcher it all themselves. They have been great to work with. They take time for any questions you have. The only thing since starting with them they've had a staff turnover in the wholesale sept and that gets a bit annoying. UPDATE: 4/20/18 I placed a 30lb order of bacon sliced thin. I'm told they will be ready today. I go to pick up and only 18 lbs is done and it's sliced thick instead of thin. Staff very friendly no doubt. The invoice clearly said sliced thinner than normal. They are going to deliver the remaining 12 lbs to me so I don't have to drive out. Good quality but first order did not go smoothly even though very nice to work UPDATE 9/6/19: Now that I am a regular I see how they do things and their level of customer service is excellent. I deal in wholesale so it's a bit different process. Excellent quality meat. Worth the money!

Tremendous amount of grease from small amount of bacon.

As you can see from the pictures below the bacon was a joke. I also bought a steak from the store which I did not think was very good. I guess that is what happens when the store picks out your meat for you. Steak was tou How can you explain that much fat on bacon? The cheese from the cheese side was very good.

Sound the horns! This place is pretty awesome. I recently had a Groupon that expired and they allowed me to swap it for a new one. I punched in restaurants and this came up under a sub category. 25 for 40 less my trade in Groupon and less a 20% coupon. Hold up! I wasn't quite sure if this was for me. I reached out to a few Yelpers that had gone because nobody posted any prices on their reviews. I got great feedback (Thanks Yelpers), so I went to their website. When I look through their offerings, I notice just about everything is sold out. I call to inquire and the guy on the phone explains that what is on the website isn't what they have in house. Their physical store has much more and changes almost daily based on what they purchase. I head to this place on my break. It was a bit difficult to find the first time, not real difficult but I want to whine a bit today. I see a somewhat small counter packed with different cuts from lamb to pork to beef. They also have Waygu steaks front and center in the display case for 37 a pound. The guy at the counter couldn't have been better at educating me on cuts and favorites. We are talking a good 10-15 minutes of me asking questions. Customer service is above and beyond here. As I get ready to buy some meat I look at the chalk board behind the counter displaying: Lamb Shanks 7.99 a pound plus 10% off and Boneless beef shanks 7.99 a pound plus 10% off. Now my decision gets tougher. I settle on two Waygu steaks, which wipes out my Groupon plus some and 1.5 pounds of boneless beef short ribs for around 8 a pound. They Waygu was pretty awesome. We cooked them just under medium rare and no knife require. We haven't cooked the short ribs yet but will soon. What I did like about this place, besides the services, is that you can spend a little or a lot and based on the day you go you may see animals or cuts you haven't had before. Overall A+

OMG, I found out from my neighbor about FFT so i went right there after work. I was looking for beef ribs and boy did I find them, see the pic.I also purchased some of the best pork chops I've had in years. Old school heritage pork you know the kind with fat and flavor. In the same space is a cheese monger whom I also purchased a nice raw cheese from.

Super cool local butcher shop with some farm fresh meats and sausages. It's the guys from the mulefoot gastropub in Imlay city. They have a great sense for flavor and for quality meats. The meat is if the highest quality, and although higher than a grocery store, the price is still reasonable. Finding the business is a bit of challenge since it's in the mostly industrial area between ferndale and pleasant ridge...but it's worth the effort. I expect fun and exciting things as they work to establish themselves in the area.

Bone in wagyu ribeye 1.5 inch thick

Wow, this place is wonderful! They have a vast array of pork, chicken, turkey and beef. Considering this place is relatively new, it was pretty busy on a Wednesday afternoon; definitely a good sign. I was craving some good ribeye and they carry dry aged ribeye and wagyu. They didn't have the dry aged ribeye in stock but they did have the wagyu. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try the wagyu. They said the wagyu is dry aged longer and the marbling on the meat is amazing!! My husband cooked this on the cast iron and it had an amazing crust while it melted in your mouth. Most definitely one of the best steaks if not the best I have ever tasted! They freshly cut the steak as requested; 1.5 inch thick with bone at 1.75 pounds each! The total was very reasonable considering wagyu is usually almost double the price for thinner, smaller steaks. I will definitely be back soon to try their other meats and their regular dry aged ribeye. If you want high end restaurant quality steak, definitely try their steak!!

You know when you take lunch and you have people depending on you to be back in a timely fashion.. even waiting 10 minutes is too long. Anyways, I walk in and nothing is ready. Nothing on their confirmation does it say that they do not start your order until you get there ANDDDDD if there are people in front of you, you have to wait. 12 minutes too long. Then.. I'm told they do not have coke in a can.. no big deal just refund me. What I can assume is the new manager walks over and tells me that they don't charge for the drink when you make it a combo. See picture. Potato salad is $2.99 via their lunch menu. Broccoli bliss is also $2.99. So essentially I paid $4 for some potato salad. I didn't want to argue because clearly she just had no clue. I always say that my teachers are heroes without capes so the theme of this truck was so fitting. Every year, I try to do something extra special for my staff. This year, I booked the Hero Or Villain Food Truck. I was able to select 6 different sandwiches for my staff to choose from and options such as loaded fries & soft drinks. These sandwiches were the BOMB! Freshly made and grilled with such unique options: Blackfire (Steak, bacon, egg, mozz, grilled peppers, onion & drizzled with a spicy sriracha mayo), Thor (Turkey, bacon & Cheddar, mayo), Kingpen (Grilled Chicken, mozzarella & pesto aioli), Captain Planet (Marinated Mushrooms, Grilled Onions, Mozz, Red Pepper & pesto aioli), Deathstroke (Steak, grilled peppers, provolone, onion & mayo), Hawkeye (Turkey, swiss, sauerkraut, pickles, 1000 island dressing). These sandwiches were served on grilled sourdough, marble rye or a hoagie bun. My favorite was Thor but the Hawkeye was equally as delicious. I didn't have a chance to try all of them but everyone was raving about their sandwiches. The two ladies working the food truck were amazing. Serving up 50+ sandwiches in 1 1/2 hours was seamless. I've been told that this food truck travels all over the place. If you are lucky enough to try them, trust me, you will be in sandwich heaven!
