It's a great spot for a night out without the downtown crowds, and they host a wide range of events throughout the year. There are parking spots available in the back of the building with 2-hour parking limit.

The box office is on the left upon entering the building. There's also coat check and a small concession stand on the opposite side. The lobby is a spacious couple of stories with art hung on the wall. Each piece of art has a tag associated with it that informs you of the artist, title of artwork, medium, price and size. There were ushers ready to answer any questions and direct audience members scattered throughout the lobby. I saw second row from the stage on the left. It's nice to be close but you have to look up since the stage is higher. Also, the speakers are right in front of you so protect your eardrums with earplugs or sound isolating earphones. There is a gradient to the seating so that should help with everyone being able to see the stage. There is balcony seating with seats extending all the way to the front along both sides.

They have your typical theatre refreshments and friendly staff. The theater is gorgeous and small enough so that no matter where you sit, you can see and hear everything. If you have trouble hearing, you can always go to the small refreshment stand and take out amplifiers to wear during the performance. There's a nice selection of refreshments and snacks and everyone who works there is Simply wonderful.

I came here to watch Beautiful: The Carol King Musical. It was not exactly close to me. I live in the east side, but the theatre is easily accessible via the 401 or 407. The snack bar service was quite slow, for the size of the theatre, 2 cashiers are needed and 2 servers and more variety of snacks would be great. My only comment that's kind of negative is that the stairs need more lighting especially when the theatre is dark. I watched many elderly folks struggle trying to see the steps and find their way down the stairs. Super dangerous for seniors and little kids.

The show was on for 3 nights and we were in for about a week in total rehearsing, and the staff who worked in the theatre were all wonderful, lovely people. The theatre itself is a great place to do a show; it doesn't seat very many but it's a good amount for a small performance. The dressing rooms, all of backstage and the wings of the stage are all big comfortable spaces, and the theatre is incredibly kept. I loved working here and I would love an opportunity to do another performance in this theatre!

It's a sleek model looking building. The theater itself has 250 comfortable seats and wide aisles. The slope is perfect for views from any seat. The sound seemed very good. You currently need to go to the main Canterbury Woods website to find the calendar of events for the Performing Arts Center. But well worth the effort.
