The lobby is a spacious couple of stories with art hung on the wall. Each piece of art has a tag associated with it that informs you of the artist, title of artwork, medium, price and size. There were ushers ready to answer any questions and direct audience members scattered throughout the lobby. I saw second row from the stage on the left. It's nice to be close but you have to look up since the stage is higher. Also, the speakers are right in front of you so protect your eardrums with earplugs or sound isolating earphones. There is a gradient to the seating so that should help with everyone being able to see the stage. There is balcony seating with seats extending all the way to the front along both sides.

Coat check $2 and drinks $12 were cheaper than the Mirvish or Ticketmaster owned venues which I appreciated. It is owned by the Ontario Heritage Trust rather than one of the billionaires of the world. It is a piece of Toronto history and you must absolutely go at least once to see this incredible piece of architecture.

I came here to watch Beautiful: The Carol King Musical. It was not exactly close to me. I live in the east side, but the theatre is easily accessible via the 401 or 407. The snack bar service was quite slow, for the size of the theatre, 2 cashiers are needed and 2 servers and more variety of snacks would be great. My only comment that's kind of negative is that the stairs need more lighting especially when the theatre is dark. I watched many elderly folks struggle trying to see the steps and find their way down the stairs. Super dangerous for seniors and little kids.

The show was on for 3 nights and we were in for about a week in total rehearsing, and the staff who worked in the theatre were all wonderful, lovely people. The theatre itself is a great place to do a show; it doesn't seat very many but it's a good amount for a small performance. The dressing rooms, all of backstage and the wings of the stage are all big comfortable spaces, and the theatre is incredibly kept. I loved working here and I would love an opportunity to do another performance in this theatre!

Let's visit Neverland…read more Ed Mirvish Theatre is a historic downtown venue that continues to put on many of the popular productions that are in the city. We caught several broadway shows at this vast venue, including Peter Pan. We were impressed by the aerial lifts, dynamic backdrop and the swift Tinker Bell glow. The modern special effects of the show are a neat contrast to the 1920s architectural styles and decor of the historic building. The theatre has been kept in pristine condition, and the seats are comfortable. The foyer can hold a packed crowd during intermission, and features a grand staircase & concessions. Note the current theatre name is CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre but be careful not to mix this up with Mirvish's other CAA Theatre that is 20 minutes walk north. Glad we made it ahead of showtime in spite of this!

Pricing is great and the kids enjoyed their meals as well. The staff and owners are lovely as well! We came to a murder mystery event, which was also very well done and so much fun!
