The space is intimate, with great sightlines and acoustics, making every seat feel close to the action. The staff are friendly and the building is clean and easy to navigate. It's a great spot for a night out without the downtown crowds, and they host a wide range of events throughout the year. There are parking spots available in the back of the building with 2-hour parking limit.

The lobby is a spacious couple of stories with art hung on the wall. Each piece of art has a tag associated with it that informs you of the artist, title of artwork, medium, price and size. There were ushers ready to answer any questions and direct audience members scattered throughout the lobby. I saw second row from the stage on the left. It's nice to be close but you have to look up since the stage is higher. Also, the speakers are right in front of you so protect your eardrums with earplugs or sound isolating earphones. There is a gradient to the seating so that should help with everyone being able to see the stage. There is balcony seating with seats extending all the way to the front along both sides.

Broken into different levels with a balcony also available, the theatre has great acoustics and is accommodating to full scale productions or single one-man shows. I have had the opportunity to perform on the stage on a stand-up comedy show with comics from Scotland. Having worked at the theatre right beside this one, the Bluma Appel theatre (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/bluma-appel-theatre-toronto), being able to perform on the stage itself in the theatre complex that once employed me was a very cool thing. The sound system and acoustics are great for performances with a single microphone or full-scale theatrical productions. As with the Bluma Appel theatre, there are no obstructions in your way at all. Sight lines are clear of distraction, and give you full view of the stage in theatre itself. No problems here.

All were excellent, with consistently high‑calibre acting that deserves real applause. Programming doesn't always align with my preferences (I gravitate toward absurdist theatre -- Beckett, Pynchon, Ionesco -- and generally prefer classical plays without modern reinterpretations or myth‑reimaginings). Still, Soulpepper offers enough range that there's usually something worth attending. Ultimately, the quality of the performances keeps me coming back.

Oh so many lived experiences displayed in full here. Highly recommend everyone watched it while it's here until March 5! The theatre has a few auditoriums that are smaller, which provide an intimate setting for their productions. Often after shows, the cast and crew will mingle with audience in the lobby. The lobby area has seating, and a cafe. Note that no coat check is available here. So keep your bag and jackets small and light!

I feel like sitting a little closer to stage (front-middle mezzanine or middle to back orchestra) would have a better viewing experience. The theatre actually has 2 entrances (Yonge St. and Victoria St.). The interiors are gorgeous. Staff and the customer service guy were great and helpful. They were able to heIp switching for the right date when I called about getting ones for the wrong date. Make sure to call them as soon as possible. I think there's a grace period to be able switch. Also, tickets would have to be the same price if you are switching dates and/or time. Even though I didn't get charged for switching, I have seen online that there is potentially a $15 fee for doing so.

The entrance and lobby area is quite impressive with the grand staircase and chandelier. We were there to see Water for Elephants in this two tiered auditorium that seats up to two thousand people. We had great seats in the orchestra section. With a circus theme and a great story, it was very entertaining. The theater was opened in 1920 but had significant renovations completed in 2022.

Mixtape with 80's and 90's hits was an amazing show; I actually cried a little because some parts are so nostalgic and touching. Would love to see them perform again :) The theatre is a bit older with wooden flooring, and seats and aisles were well-kept and clean. The stage is raised, best seats at eye level, imo, starts on 3rd row ;)

Al Green Theatre is a medium size event space located inside the Jewish Community Centre (JCC) at…read morethe corner of Bloor and Spadina. The building houses many different community functions of which this theatre is only part. The theatre itself is basic with comfortable enough seats, although not recently renovated, they do the job ok. The lighting and sound systems worked well and appeared to be confidently handled by the staff. The lobby is quite small so it had a snaky lineup that doubled back similar to what you would have in a large Cineplex theatre. There is a small Second Cup opposite the theatre entrance right inside the center which is a nice spot to sit and wait if you can find a seat. There are basic small clean washrooms in the lobby area which were adequate unless there was a large crowd milling around. There was no lineup after the show which was nice. Overall a decent spot to have an event, or attend one, so thumbs up to the Al Green Theatre!
