My first visit with Dr. Tetelman was one of standoffish with a short and dismissive attitude! This first encounter should have warned me that further visits would only be worst than the first! In fact I ignored the warnings signs in desperation to hold on to what was left of my natural teeth, so I continued to follow up my visits in hopes of being satisfied with outcome of two crowns. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and Dr. Tetelman mannerism continued with his arrogance disregarding my inquiries about two crowns that he improperly place in my mouth. For instance, the two crowns that were place by Dr. Tetelman one crown fell out, and the other crown was so loose that eventually would come out too. Resulting in two unnecessary office visits on ----Needless to say, I am totally disgusted with the dental work I was given or the lack of by this dentist, and after this second visit for these two crowns I will no longer seek Dr. Tetelman services. He definitely does not live up to his 4 stars, and as a result of this I will be apprehensive about all dentist from this point forward. At any rate, low budget insurance, and pay out of pockets for non-metal crowns does not afford you proper dental service as would a patient with top notch dental insurance from this dental office! Also, from my experiences with dentists over a decade has been that dentists are only concerned with money not their clients, and I am left with my dollars taken, and inadequate dental work. Beware of the stars you see! Disgruntle client!

Dr. Steven Chavez -- Simply the Best Dentist You'll Ever Find!…read moreI am a TV Legal Analyst and Commentator for all the major Channels, ABC,CBS, CNN, Fox, Entertainment Tonight ,Inside Edition, etc. so you know my teeth and smile have to be perfect!! I came to Dr. Chavez with 11 teeth needing serious work -- root canals, crowns, and fillings -- and he PAINLESSLY fixed every single one. From start to finish, both Dr. Chavez and his wonderful staff made me feel completely comfortable and cared for. I'm bi-coastal and my longtime Beverly Hills dentist retired, leaving me with the impossible task of finding someone in New York who could handle all the issues without trying to "upsell" unnecessary work. Dr. Chavez was the answer -- no upsell, no games, no three-card monty. One tooth -- my lower bicuspid -- was in terrible shape. Every dentist in LA wanted to pull it and "salivated" at the idea of putting in an implant. Not Dr. Chavez. He spent nearly two hours meticulously crafting a way to save the tooth, and he did it -- no pain, perfect result! Honestly, I hesitated to write this review because I know once people discover him, it'll be hard to get an appointment. But he deserves the recognition. Dr. Chavez is a true professional -- ethical, skilled, and caring. As a former Federal Prosecutor, Judge Pro Tem, and practicing attorney for 40 years, I'm as picky as they come. If I trust him, you can too. To top it off, he accepts all kinds of insurance, and his prices are beyond reasonable. Simply put -- Dr. Steven Chavez is the real deal.

I was able to book a last minute appointment for 6pm and when I got there, they took me right away. The hygienist was friendly and efficient and since it had been a couple years since I got a cleaning, I was afraid it would be painful but she was very careful at not being unnecessarily rough. After the quick cleaning and x-rays, I was told I'd need to come back for a couple fillings and I told them of my situation (that I was going to have to pay out of pocket), so they were willing to work with me and didn't try to overcharge for unnecessary work. Even though I have to pay in full, I have no regrets for going to see them. It's hard to find a good, reliable dentist but I have definitely found that in Dr. Costaras. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends.

First, she misdiagnosed the tooth after looking at x-rays. She said that it only needed an onlay , which is a partial crown. I later found out that the tooth needed a root canal and a crown. The onlay was very expensive. Months later, I got an infection in the tooth. I went back to her and she gave me antibiotics. At that point she took x-rays again and did realize that the tooth needed a root canal. I lost faith in her. I went to a different dentist who has much more experience and an advanced degree in dentistry. He reviewed the original x-rays taken before Dr. Elikashvili worked on my teeth. He said that it was totally clear from the x-rays that a root canal and crown were needed. He said that the onlay had been useless and a waste of money. At that point, the tooth was still infected. I had a choice between a root canal and an extraction. I chose extraction. I emailed Dr. Elikashvili and requested a refund for the cost of the onlay she had done. I explained my reasoning clearly. She refused to pay me and replied very argumentatively. Her arguments were not valid. I would never go back to this dentist. I will say that her office is very clean and attractive. The staff are very nice.
