DO NOT STAY HERE - NOT WORTH THE MONEY - LEAKING ROOF AND ANTS NEST…read more -You cannot regulate the heating in your room (which means it is hot all the time) -I've been forced to move rooms because of 'undetectable' leak -Before changing rooms they clearly didn't clean it because I found an ant's nest under my bed. -They've clearly had a rebrand recently to try and cover up their mistakes associate with 'Victoria halls' -From what I have been reading on other websites they remove 'bad reviews' to try and cover themselves -NO OVENS (you get a microwave oven, which is just terrible for cooking except if you are using it as microwave)

Okay, so here is my review: (I've posted parts of this elsewhere) I'm just writing this post to warn all current and future students about a private accommodation provider called Victoria Halls in Wembley. The short version: don't do it. It's a waste of money and will leave your tutors worrying that you are suffering from depression (seriously). Right next to underground tracks (which aren't underground) 4am until 1am and then maintenance works on the tracks between those times. (Every day since October last year). The noise is never anything less than unbearable. If you don't believe me or think I'm just some disgruntled kid who doesn't know how to live on his own; you're wrong. Don't take my word for it though. A Facebook page has been started where previous tenants have voiced their gripes with the place; this is because reviews on Google keep getting removed. It's hideous place. It's scorching hot in the summer with windows that open an inch. You get your room in a state yet are demanded it be returned pristine lest you get charges added. I still have the displeasure of living here as I paid for a 51 week tenancy. For a "penthouse" by the way - a glorified corridor facing the train tracks. On event days at the stadium, you're a stones throw away from the main station meaning you have a nice steady flow of people chanting "Wembley" (you know the chant) for hours on end. Anyway, please like the Facebook page and pass it on to anyone studying in London/Middlesex if you care for them. If you have already been unlucky enough to live there, my heart goes out to you!

Claredale House - Single non-ensuite bedroom

Claredale House is what you can expect a housing hall to be like. It's pretty much like living in…read morethe dorms if you're from America. Tight nit spaces, One kitchen, One bathroom shared between 4 people or 2 bathrooms, bigger kitchen shared between 6. I've lived in these Halls for about seven months now and it's been quite an experience. When I first arrived it was very fun, I got to meet all my flat mates right off the bat who are all quite lovely and a lot of the people around me as well so it started out quite fun. We would have nights out in London, exploring the night life together and just enjoying getting to know another side of the world. The only thing that really is quite the annoyance is the thin walls and the loudness that comes with living with people of all different ages and maturity levels. Sure, it's college/Uni, it's the time to party, rage it up, go out and drink, but when you have class at 9 the next morning and there is a party next door, it's not the best place to be. However, in terms of security they have a great system, a code that enables you to get into the gates and it's an easy walk to the tube or the bus when you need to go to Uni. It comes with a fridge and a microwave, stove, oven, sink and bins, but that's all you get, all the rest you have to supply yourself which is typical for halls. The staff is both really nice and helpful when it comes to moving in and getting around to places. They also have a laundry room with about 6 washers and 6 dryers and it only takes an hour to do both. The internet is consistently good and you get your own room as well which is lovely. The only reason why I give it 3 stars is due to the thinness of walls, the tight nit spaces and that there isn't a common room to hang in besides the kitchen. Other than that though, it's worth the rent and it's a place to live that's close to what you need.

I felt completely safe all the time, even coming back alone in the night. The office staff is so friendly and helpful with everything and you can even have your parcels delivered there so that, in case you are not home when the postman stops by, you won´t have to go to a pick-up place, but can even get your parcel from the office on the weekend or in the evening. I am really happy to have chosen Clarendale for a summer stay and would definitely come again.

And if you are now reading it, deciding whether to stay there, - please, don't do it. Here is why. It was my 3 time studying in London, and I've never had any problems with my accommodation. I was super excited to stay in The Stay Club, as I saw the beautiful pictures of the room on the website and the location was nice. But just to give you an understanding how does it look (expectation vs reality), there at some pictures attached in the post. My room was situated on a ground floor, that is why the only view from my window was concrete and disrupted fence. What is more, there was no separate shower, just water running straight from the ceiling above the washbasin and toilet. The water cannot go out appropriately and the air was terrible. For the whole night I wasn't asleep, because of the loud noises from both outside and inside the building. The air was awful and I just couldn't breathe without my window open all the time. Not to mention the number of insects in the room, which is not surprising due to the humidity and location. One day I was woken up by a spider crawling on my hand. Btw, when I've asked the guy on the reception to change my room, he told me it was the best one. Long story short, I needed find another place to stay for 3 month, which wasn't easy. I needed to pay more (just because it was too late to search for the cheaper options), but I don't regret it at all. Please, think twice if you want to stay in The Stay Club, cause it must be illegal to provide good pictures on the website, while the real accommodation is awful.
