It went brilliantly - I went from having sporadic responses to my resume to getting a call back from almost every company I applied to. YNJ was easy to work with every step of the way and kept me informed of the steps they would take to fix my resume and LinkedIn. Their advice was detailed and they truly paid attention to my work experience and the roles I was interested in applying to. Would not recommend after meeting with Tara M. For my 2023…read moretax return Rose was great to work with, where she explained things in detail. Value was comparable to other accountants. Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.
