Shrimp, yellow rice, and onions. Shrimp just thrown on top of rice
    Mikel M.

Wasn't impressed!! Went to "Got Rice" first and they were closed for the Thanksgiving so I decided on Fat East. Go in, ordered and hand the young lady my credit card for her to say "Cash ONLY".. and point to this sign written in crayon it seemed.. But they conveniently have an ATM in their lobby. I paid for my food to stand there and see another colorful sign that reads"Order online" and I could have used my credit card. But then she says that order would take a long tine to get to them.. Just too much!! I order shrimp fried rice and it's nothing fancy. Real bland.. shrimp, rice and onions, no veggies.. no egg, no spring onions.. nothing just rice, onion, and shrimp.

Been coming here for 30 years...Best Mumbo sauce...make sure to get it on your wings or French fries...the steak and cheese and lemon pepper wings are the best I've ever had...

The seafood boil was great! The food was hot upon arrival, and the seafood was seasoned and my crab legs were VERY meaty! I really enjoyed the sauce. The hush puppies were a bit soft for my taste, abut still very tasty. If they were fried for about 2 extra minutes they would have been perfect! I ordered the cheesecake dessert as I had a craving and I LOVE cheesecake. Unfortunately, the cake was very bland and not to my personal liking so I definitely wouldn't order this again. I would definitely order again, and maybe I will come in-person next time!

This place is NOT a Cajun/Louisiana Cuisine Restaurant. The interior and exterior appearances made me want to turn back around. However, I had already placed an online order. I found this establishment on GrubHub, and the reviews seemed promising, though that was not the case. I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp Fried Rice, Honey Habanero Wings, and a Seafood Boil. While the shrimp were larger than expected, the rice was a bit overcooked and was not hibachi-style. The party wings were tiny and lacked flavor. The kicker was the mushy seafood. The crab legs and shrimp were overcooked and mushy and ultimately inedible. This place also lacked indoor seating and sufficient parking. I had to park at the neighboring gas station as there were no parking spots available. Don't waste your time or money!

We all found traditional diner breakfasts as well as many dishes with a Latin taste and ingredients. I had their big egg sandwich with ham and bacon on a bagel. The sandwich's taste excelled despite the plain Jane bagel. Otherwise one family member had the eggs Benedict with ham rated very good. The hollandaise was just right. All eggs were cooked as ordered, bacon crispy but not too well done. Sweet ice tea was great! Everything was fresh, tasty and satisfying! The service was also attentive and friendly. Overall a great meal! Highly recommend!

Luckily I'm very familiar with the area and know that the entrance is beside the Exxon, up and winding driveway and sits on top of the hill. There's a small Wyndham hotel next to it, so if you look up and see the Wyndham signage, you're in the right spot! I've never dined at this spot and it's been here for YEARS! I believe it started off as a Howard Johnson's many moons ago, but don't quote me on that..LOL. The restaurant itself is really nothing to look at. It's seems more like a diner than a restaurant but it's surprisingly large, just a little outdated. I sat at the rather small bar since I was there for HH. The bartender was extremely pleasant and attentive. I ordered the wings and bacon wrapped dates that were on the HH menu and I also ordered the calamari which was on the regular menu. I must say, the calamari and bacon wrapped dates tastes as good as any I've ever had! The wings were very good as well. The HH priced margarita was extremely good and $4 off the regular price! I will definitely be back when I want to grab something good and lowkey. Oh yeah, there's a Mexican food vibe which surprised me. I was served complimentary chips and salsa, and the menu had several Mexican cuisine offerings. Because of this, they may want to consider a name change.. Lol!

The wings were delicious. I tried the sweet and spicy sesame flavor. It leaned more sweet than spicy, but the flavor was so good. The salad was incredibly fresh. I'm usually not a fan of kale salads, but the blend was amazing, and the salmon was perfectly seasoned. The sliders were also a standout! Cooked medium well and absolutely perfect. The sweet potato fries had the perfect amount of crunch. We visited on a Monday night, so it was nice and quiet. Food was also served quickly . The restaurant itself has a really nice atmosphere, and parking is validated, which is a plus. Definitely will be back!

I called to order pickup, and the service was nice and friendly. Also, the spot is very reliable, as it's open until midnight and roughly 16 hours of the day, serving many different options, from fast food to comfort food. I ordered the combo over rice ($13), the Philly cheesesteak combo with French fries and lemonade ($15.49), five wings with one waffle ($13.49), and a carrot cake slice ($4). - The fried chicken wings were alright for your typical fast food chicken. - Waffle was decent: it was soft & fluffy. - The combo over rice was solid, and I liked the chicken the most. - Philly cheesesteak was okay and would've been even better if it had provolone instead of the cheese whiz. - French fries were solid: they were crispy with some seasoning on them. - The house-made lemonade was alright, and I would be open to getting it again. - The carrot cake isn't anything crazy, it's alright, but I do appreciate the $4 price tag cause others would charge double or more for a slice. Overall, the spot does a good job with fair pricing, fast comfort food, and reliable hours. I'd come back and recommend.

However, if you plan to dine in the restaurant, be prepared for 80 degree heat and VERY loud music that you have to shout over in the dining area in order to have a conversation. When I asked, they turned it down. A little. Other than those discomforts, I found the restaurant to be incredibly friendly and welcoming, and full of happy customers anxiously waiting to taste their food, as well as bright and happy workers. It's clearly a local favorite, and not just for seafood lovers. The man who took our order was helpful and efficient, and he even noticed that we didn't hear our number called when the order was ready, so he left his post to come deliver it to us. The flounder sandwich is to die for, just as good as the one I had in Myrtle Beach! And the selection of sides is almost overwhelming. It really helps to go look at them before you decide, but everything was fresh and delicious, with huge portions, and they put the liquidy dishes into sealed containers that don't leak. I love the cheesy broccoli, the Mac and cheese (my kids love that the most!), and the cabbage with carrots. My friend said the black eyed peas were absolutely wonderful. I will continue to order delivery and carry out from this location, but for dining in, I will go to Laurel.

Now moving along to the presentation, I really appreciated that I had everything I needed ( sauce utensils napkins in the bag) and my food was ready pretty quickly and the person that assisted me was cool, wasn't a long line I was in and out. I honestly had low expectations when I ordered from here, but after my pick up experience, my food packaging, and eating my meal I can say they blew my expectations out the water lol. Loved it and I want to try their salmon next!
