If I could give Far Better Printing a 10-star rating, I absolutely would. THIS PLACE TOTALLY ROCKS!!! I worked directly with Joe but, the entire team was available & amazing. Picture this- I'm at work in Georgia, 2 days before Christmas, Far Better would be closed on the 24th, & 26th and I needed funeral programs printed, for a funeral on the 27th. A souped-up, 15-page booklet with pictures (not the flimsy 2-pager). I called Far Better on around 2PM on 12/23 to see if they could assist with this last-minute print job. My PDF was too big to send via email; my work firewall blocked the alternative Joe provided. He then suggested I share my Canva with him so he could retrieve it there. By the time Joe had my file, it was around 3:30 PM. He stayed on the phone with me to confirm in real time that he gained access to the file while still handling in-person clients I had no idea what type of binding I wanted but Joe walked me through the entire process reassuring me every step of the way, and he did not disappoint. And the cost...I was expecting to pay an arm & a leg but, to my surprise, they were BEYOND REASONABLE. About $400 less than what Staples quoted me for the exact same job. The first thing I did when I needed custom-made shirts was go on Google....but this is not exactly how I found Far Better Printing. I casually was looking in the area for printing services and decided to inquire, and thank god I did! I found that Far Better was indeed far better than other printing services in the area, and shops I have found on Google. Other stores were charging me $130-$200 for 6 custom-made shirts, but Far Better charged me $65 for 6 custom-made T-shirts which came up to $70 (including tax). Overall the best value I have gotten. I worked with Brandon and Joe to get the idea I wanted. They were good communicators and excellent to work with. I rate this company 4 stars since I wasn't able to get everything I wanted for my custom-made design. I was looking for specific types of fonts to use such as "Primal Scream" and "Flame on" but they were not able to offer me those fonts unless I paid about $20 for them (which I didn't want to do). I was disappointed by that, and it slightly ruined my design however, the shirts came out great and my family loved them. I wouldn't mind returning here for printing services. read more

It saddens me to say this, but all of the people working here are deeply deeply incompetent (/wildly unhelpful). If you have an option to go literally anywhere else I would highly recommend you do that. (Take a subway elsewhere even. It's truly not worth it to come here. I needed two sets of course packets for a Brooklyn college class. This is the only place where I could get them (the monopoly this place seems to have for the Brooklyn College community but also the larger community is, I assume, a big part of why they're so terrible). My professor told me that they would only print the packet if we called them in advance (because it's expensive). It's also very large and each set has two books each. Printing, he said, takes 20 minutes per set. I called on Wednesday morning asking for a packet printed for Friday at 10am (when they open). I was told it would be ready for me. I also was going to pick up a packet for a classmate. She called Friday morning at 10am. They said it could be ready by my 10:45am arrival. I show up at 11:15 and am told they need '10 minutes' because they have not printed my friends packet yet. I assume this is an underestimate but I don't say anything and just ask about the packet I called about on Wednesday. Apparently this one hasn't been printed either. The staff member I spoke to wasn't one big apologetic, which was baffling to me because that's two instances of them not doing what they've said they would as a business. 35 minutes later (I was told 20 minutes originally) I ask what the situation is. I'm polite but terse. I said I was told 20 minutes and it's been 35, what's the situation? The staff member says exasperatedly, 'what do you want me to do sweetheart? What can I do?' As though I'm incredibly unreasonable for asking after something I was told by a staff member would be done 15 minutes ago (and should have been done by the time I arrived). I'm still here and now it's been 45 minutes. I've still not received what I need. There are huge lines in the store. I hear someone else being sent away (they gave a project two weeks ago and it's still not ready. He checked in last week too.' The staff Member speaking to him says, 'It is what it is.' Two people are sent away because something is broken. It is truly infuriating to be here (still) when I should have been able to be in and out. In conclusion: 0 stars. Awful awful place. If you must come here then I am truly sorry for the ordeal you will face. read more

Far Better Printing should really be called Five-Star Far Superior Printing, because they live up to that name. Excellent customer service and wonderful printing quality. I've been to a few printing shops in the area, and nothing compares to this one. By far the best in Brooklyn! I don't typically write reviews, but considering what a great experience this was from start to finish, their attention to detail, and their turnaround time we couldn't be happier to have found this place! Would gladly return, and plan to do all of our jobs there. They are efficient to the max, especially Kenny who single handedly managed our request and ensured our satisfaction. Do not recommend. I called them in advance to see if they could fully bind the long edge of 11x17 paper and they stated that they could. I then emailed them the file with clear directions for 6 spiral bound, double sided copies on 11x17 paper with no covers. I also said that I would pick them up at 2:30 (this was at 8:15 am) and if they couldn't process the order by then, to email me to come by later. When I showed up, they hadn't done the work (or emailed me) saying that they got swamped. However, all three of them were standing around and goofing off. One guy went into the back and 10 minutes later came out with 1 copy of the file, single sided, and spiral bound with an 11" binding strip. I repeated to them what I needed and they proceeded to tell me that the largest binding they have is 11". I asked why I was told they had 17" over the phone and they sidestepped the question by saying that they will go back and fix the problem. They then came back out (20 minutes later) with 6 copies, double sided; however, there was now a cover on them and still only bound with 11" binding. Not to mention, the binding was positioned almost at the bottom so when you open it up, the top half flops over. They refused to remove the covers or fix the binding. I needed them that day and did not have the time to go elsewhere so I grudgingly paid and left. Later, I found out that the holes for the binding on one of the copies was punched too close to the edge and that half of the binding wasn't even attaching the paper. Very unprofessional work (both in quality and looks) and poor customer service. I will go out of my rather than return here. read more

He was able to work on our funeral program and laminated photos within the same day. The work was beautiful and more then what my family can ask for in a short time. An important place for any Brooklyn College student. The staff here is generally very quick and knows how to keep it moving when there are long lines. Students have to buy "course packs" here so at times it can get quite hectic, especially at the beginning of a semester. Their prices are fair (8 cents a page after the first page - cheaper than the xerox at the library), and the only thing I've ever done here other than copies is once I sent a fax - standard price for that, probably less than a Kinko's. I have never seen anyone order anything like invitations or etc, but they do offer more than what I need them for. Once they even hooked me up with some free copies since I had been in earlier and it was only like 3 pages. He must have recognized that girl who was always running late who needed 15 copies of some handwritten music. read more

Horrible service. Been going to this place for years no problem, needed documents printed from my flash drive got the prints, they had staples in them. I didn't want nor did I ask for them to be stapled, these were important tax documents where the submission requirements clearly states the documents cannot be bound in anyway. The guy (some guy with glasses), was rude and unapologetic, would did not reprint, but instead said I could just take the staples out, why would I want documents with holes in them. Needless to say I would warn customers to be weary of this place, the service is not consistent. read more

Unbelievable...Brandan is a superhero. He just solved my last-minute printing problems with enough time to prepare for a job interview in the eleventh hour. There is such an amazing team working here. The company I work for is located nearby (across from Brooklyn College), so we always go to them for all our printing and flyer needs. They are so friendly and knowledgeable in all work we've requested, and whenever something tricky was requested, they would figure it out, make it work, and always give friendly advice as to how to make our projects look better, and they always do! I usually deal with Joe directly, who offers great support every time, but everyone that I've had the pleasure of working with there has been outstanding. But when it showed up on their computer it was 1.5 pages . the lady insisted she wouldn't tamper and didn't feel like messing with it to get to fit to one page . I have been a customer of Far Better Printing for many years over other places in the neighborhood I can have my documents printed out from an email or faxed. I recently went in and the gentleman printed my letter with the email heading included, as I was in a hurry I didn't notice it until I got home. I went back not expecting to have a problem and the manager had the nerve to have an attitude, I'm so happy a UPS store opened near by their brand depends on excellent customer service unlike Far Better Printing who treats their loyal customers like yesterday's trash over a mistake they made that could've been so easily corrected.
