really disappointed... I've been trying to find a good nail salon in the Cresco area since moving here in August 2023. So far I have not. Tried fantasy nails because it was under new management. My pedicure lasted about three days and started chipping this has never happened to me before .. pedicures usually last me a month or more. In terms of my nails, I was there for a fill and gel polish. They were having trouble with the drying lights. Instead of completely redoing my manicure, the girl simply kept putting another layer on and putting me back under the light. It was taking forever and I just wanted to get out of there . Two of my nails started to peel the next day. I could simply peel the layers off and see the first coat underneath I was too annoyed and frustrated to even go back to have that fixed. I just will not go there again... very disappointed. read more

Went in for a mani and pedi. Was greeted by Tom the owner, who promptly seated me at the pedi station, and turned the massage chair on. I wanted black, so they picked out my color. After a couple mins of soaking and massaging, Bryanna worked on my feet and then hands. She took her time, and did an outstanding job. I forgot to take a pic of my hands, but I received a lot of compliments on plain black nails. Go figure. Nails and feet on amazing. A+++ read more

I went in for an acrylic fill. Every nail had bubbles on them, three of the nails additionally had polish that was put on too thick and warped that made them look like they dried and globed sideways. I asked that those three nails be redone and the end result had bubbles, like the others. The thumb also has a huge lump in it that looks terrible. My middle finger acrylic was shaved extremely uneven on the side. Additionally, when getting the original refill, the man shaving down the top of my nails cut so low that he punctured the skin underneath the skin of my nail, which was painful, twice. After this incredible experience I was charged $40. DO NOT GO HERE. I feel like maybe the women might be better there based on the reviews, so if you see the man with long fingernails, RUN. read more

The nail tech was talking poorly on the last woman who did my nails, at this same salon, because it took him longer than he would have liked to take my nail polish off. He was watching a movie on his cell phone while doing my nails and had headphones in. I paid $35 for dip powder that is inconsistent in texture and thickness. My nails are all completely different shapes. He did not ask me what shape I wanted my nails or how long. Normally when dip powder is finished, it is smooth to the touch. This finished product is touch and varies within the same nail. He kept hitting my skin with the grinder and then proceeded to file my skin on EVERY FINGER. He did not seem to know what he was doing, considering he attempted to grind the first layer of powder and was upset when it completely took it off the nail, so he had to re do it. I came here for a manicure directly after having a terrible experience at Lovely Nails (see review under them). The people were friendly and my basic manicure was good. I did notice that if you want something in specific, you do have to specifically tell them. I have very strong ridges in my nails that need to be filed down with the machine, which they were happy to do, once I asked. (The woman next to me was getting gel nails, and the nail tech gave her nails as long as she came in with. The woman was upset she didn't get longer nails so the nail tech re-did her nails. If the customer told her what she wanted beforehand, there wouldn't have been a problem.) If I need a manicure when I'm in this area, this will be my new "go to" place. read more

This place is disgusting. There are nail clippings and nail dust everywhere. It needs a good deep cleaning but seems like no one who works there cares. They reuse nail tools without cleaning then. Don't even think about going here unless you like burns on your fingers and botched nails. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. My nail tech took to my gel nails like she hated me, scraping so hard to remove the old gel that my fingers hurt afterward. Instead of putting on cuticle remover and using her tools to remove them, she used the nail drill... on my NATURAL NAIL! Then, she neglected to ask how I wanted them filed before she started filing them square. I asked that she make them round, to which she replied, "too short." I was then pushed over to another tech with no assistance carrying my things, where he proceeded to rip the skin off all around my nails with trimmers, so much that they were open sores after. My girlfriend had a terrible experience too, having to tell her tech multiple times that she was burning her with the nail drill. The paint job was more like a hack job. My regular mani was horrendous. The lady kept dipping into the nail polish and globbing it on. My nails also ended up being cut and filed unevenly. It ended up chipping the next day. I'm not incredibly picky when it comes to my nails but this was not good. Their strength is definitely with gels and tips. read more

Just moved here! Looked up nail salons close to me...this was the closest! Came to this location to get my brows done ! Only men working here which is weird anyway I've had guys do my brows before and did amazing...this guy almost took my whole brow off and left me with a strip I'm already annoyed but I'll fill em in !!! So I went to pay and my debit card isn't in my wallet I began panicking... I asked him if he has cash app he says no I hand him my drivers license and military card as collateral so I can run back to the house! The owner says to me " you do this all the time, everytime you come you never have your card" I looked at him and said your confusing me with someone else I just moved here... I point to my license which is a Washington state license! This man said no you come here all the time, I reiterated that he's confusing me with someone else! He proceeds to call me a liar and say I come all the time !He says you can't pay with card, cash only if it's under 15 ! So I said to him if I'm here all the time I would know that.... I leave and go back home to find my debit card in my jeans from yesterday.... I take cash out and head back... when I get there another employee apologized and I stated you didn't do anything wrong it's your boss! Wanted a pedicure ,waited for 15 minutes to be seated then I was instructed to soak my feet. 20 minutes went by and no indication of who was going to do my pedicure but two girls were eating at their stations and a man ( who I assume was the owner ) went outside to smoke twice , all while I was waiting for someone to do my pedicure or at least find out what was going on. I was the only customer there , it was my first visit and the last one too, I walked out without a pedicure. I do not recommend the place to anyone. read more

Mediocre. If you're in a hurry, not looking to be pampered and don't mind being called Mama..........stop in here. They're open until 7:30. I like that they use the smoothing tool for toenails and worked on hangnail, though cut a little too deep. No attention to cuticle cutting or filing for mani/pedi. Now that a day has passed and I can view my nails in real sunlight, the polish or topcoat has those little bubbles. Waited for over 1.5 hours with only 2 people in the salon. I needed a full set which I said 3 times and they set me up for a pedicure, eye wax and then finally what I asked for. Staff was very rude, not organized at all. I will never go to this salon ever again. Very disappointed. My friend and I arrived around 4pm and got in the chair about 15 min later, which isn't bad. But the man I had was more worried about his phone not working than my nails. Took him about 30 minute for him to take off my acrylic and file them down. He's very heavy handed with the dremel to the point it got so hot my nail bed was burning and he cut up my cuticles so bad they were bleeding. On top of that, I showed him a picture as reference of what I wanted and I got the complete opposite. My nails are all different shapes and lengths. My friends experience was just as bad. She too showed a reference photo to the nail tech she had and told him she wanted to reverse the colors and he told her no. Her nails were also all different lengths. Do not go to fantasy nails. Horrible experience as soon as we walked in. We were not greeted, not even a smile. My friend was shuffled from person to person and all of the techs were extremely rough on her and did an awful job. My tech burned and cut me with the tools so many times I lost count. I had to continuously tell her she was hurting me and couldn't understand why she was holding it so carelessly and literally buzzing my HAND. Left with cuts on three of my fingers in a row. She kept trying to get me to use a color I didn't want....Painting took forever and was just ok. The owner (I assume) was rude and kept making comments to my friend and I about being there "early" even though they opened at 9 and we were there at 930. He was late coming in so it must have bothered him. They all spoke loudly and only in their language so who knows what they were saying about us.
