Always friendly, always clean and always consistent. I am very very picky about the polish used on my manicures and pedicures and feel like a lot of places skimp on the coat. This place never ever disappoints. I have been coming here for a year now after living in the poconos for about a decade; Originally from Long Island. Never had a bad pedicure here, it lasts forever. I say this as I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to open because it's been 2 months since my last pedicure and it's just grown out and time. The polish other than being grown out has not a single chip in it and still looks like it could have been fresh painted even though it's legit been 2 months. This is probably the 20th nail salon I have tried since living here and it's by far my favorite. read more

Absolutely terrible. I don't know if they use the cheapest gel possible, but it broke all my nails never had this problem when I lived in Philadelphia and the guy that did my nails completely destroyed them had no idea what he was doing. read more

I needed to get my nails done during my trip to PA. I found this place on yelp and the reviews were decent enough to give them a try. I walked in and was one customer waiting to be serviced (good sign) I decided to get sns and a Pedi. There were 8 nail stations and 8 pedi stations with massage chairs. The place was pretty clean and they were mindful about their disinfecting process (at least with the equipment used for the pedi). I waited about 10 minutes before my service started. My feet was place to soak for about 10 minutes. I appreciated that because most places don't give your feet time enough to soak to properly rid the bottom of the feet of dead skin. Peter my tech did a phenomenal job. He wore gloves and used sanitized equipment. He took his time with the details and finished it off with a quick lower leg and foot massage. I was pleased that he too would be the one to do my manicure. Simply because I don't care too much to have many individuals working on my hands and feet. Anywho Peter did a really good job with my mani as well. I likes my nails to look and feel as natural as possible and he delivered. They accept appointments so I'll definitely be back when I visit PA again. read more

terrible service. the person doing my nails BROKE 2 of my nails and filed 2 others down WAY too much and then when I asked him to fix them, he charged me an extra $10 for the fixes and charged me $5 for the shape even though my nails were already all almond shaped. I've never experienced anything like this from them before but the experience was so terrible I left without getting any color put on. it was the younger male, whom I've never dealt with before and when I questioned why I had to pay for his mistake all he could come up with is that I had to pay for the mistake because I am the one who asked him to fix it. read more

I had my daughter's nails done here. She had a short French tip with a simple flower on two fingers, one on each hand, for $70. I feel that the price was excessive and that the male technician took advantage of the special occasion, resulting in a disappointing experience. My other two daughters have also been customers here, but unfortunately, we will no longer be supporting this business, and I will be sharing my concerns with friends and acquaintances. read more

Great service. They allow a good foot soaking before the pedicure, resulting in happy feet!

I was surprised to find the cost as nearly as NYC prices. In terms of the quality, it was good. I was surprise to find out that they did not cut my toe nails? I don't know if it was because they were short already but I think Peter (his name) could tell they were semi-jaggered and not quite straight or aligned evenly. My boyfriend also got the same service (mani and pedi) and they didn't cut any of his nails either. I would say though, the type of pedicure spa was unique. They used hot stones to rub on our feet. The manicure, to prevent the same situation with my toes, I did ask for a cut. And he filed down and biff and did the usual things one would do for a manicure. It seems like the guests here enjoy gel or another type of manicure versus a regular nail polish. The lack of color was very transparent. Not a whole lot of variety nor the brand of the polishes. read more

I'm from out of state and was looking to get my nails filled. I went in today and had some of the best service I've ever had. The wait for a walk in was about 30 minutes. Couldn't complain about that because the place was packed and I didn't have an appointment. The place is very clean. The staff is very nice. They had many colors to choose from. Including the chrome in which I got today. The gentleman I had today was very nice. He was very precise with his work. He made sure everything was as perfect as it could be. ALSO, fun fact. If you use their ATM to get money out to pay for your nails, they reimburse you the 2 dollars you had to pay to use it. read more

Requested Full set almond shape. Was assigned a man, they look horrible. Do not waste your time

Horrible customer service! Especially when one has been a customer for many years. Management becomes rude, belligerent and extremely sarcastic when you advise you did not get what you paid for. When they agreed to correct the work they then were harsh, yanking and squeezing your hand while they worked. Mangement then cancels your future appt citing your service is an inconvenience. Stay clear of this salon. They are unprofessional and overpriced for the quality of work done. read more

My friend and I made an appointment for 6pm to get our nails done. Clearly making an appointment doesn't matter because when you walk in, you are asked to put your name and phone number and wait outside (due to COVID). You may also request a specific worker if you'd like. We waited 45 minutes before getting called in. But, when I was getting my nails done, every worker was so outgoing and respected their customers to make sure they got exactly what they wanted. The man who did my nails was named T, and he did a fabulous job. He made me feel comfortable and we didn't stop talking and laughing! He double checked to make sure that everything I asked for was correct. Other than the wait, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been a resident in the Poconos and commute to work into NYC. I have to say this is my second time here and I have tried so many salons here and in NYC; My nails are perfect!!!! Had a dip manicure today and they look as smooth as glass!!!! The pedicure was gentle and meticulous!!! Exceptional customer service!!! Full set with gel was done last time, and I've never had a set last as long as they did!!! Chip and peel free!!!! If it wasn't for my nail growth I would've stayed with them much longer!!! As much as I hesitated to spill the beans on this establishment for selfish reasons, I had to share for all my nail queens!!!! Please book your appointments with them!! They do get busy but they do take great care!! So happy I found them. New dedicated customer!! If I ever move, dare I say; I will be making it back here!!! read more

This guy is a jerk. He cut my fingers, was a sarcastic rude person and his manager allowed it. Im disgusted with this place and especially the service i got. I could go on and tell you what happened from him invading my space and making me uncomfortable to like I said just giving me bad service and cutting me. The managements response was even worse. Caught this pic as he was busy throwing me the finger. Real classy! read more

Super nice service and really friendly! I got a French gel manicure and a pedicure- it took about an hour but they really did an awesome job! We were just passing by on our way to the Poconos and saw this place in the shopping center while we were waiting for the light to turn green. Good catch! They really took their time layering your nails so that it would last long. $55 for a gel manicure and pedicure. I think mine was a little bit more because I got French. My friend got ombre gel nails- super cool! The nails change colors based on the temperature-so when dipped in water they change!!! Would come back if i I was passing through the area. read more

Such a horrible and terrifying experience. The customer service was way below standards. I came in one morning which I previously asked about and was told an appointment was not needed. This morning I came before the store opened and patiently waited to be serviced. I was told by the owner he had an appointment and was unable to be serviced. Then the conversation went completely wrong. While having a calm conversation he became irate and threatened to call the cops. Then I was ordered to leave the store and my money was not needed. To be treated as someone less than by another person and a minority was heartbreaking. I believe in equal opportunity for all as well as equal treatment. I was appalled by the way this situation was handled. Going forward I strongly recommend not to do busy in a place where your not valued. read more

Favorite nail salon in this area for a quick fill or gel manicure. I wish I knew the name of the guy who always does my nails, he's really sweet and quick. I came here for eyebrows once though and that was a HUGE mistake. I typically have thick brows and they were overgrown. I told her my eyebrows are naturally arched, just shape them up. She took off most of my brows. And they came out really thin and uneven. I was devastated and immediately bought a new eyebrow pencil to fill them in. Never making that mistake again lol luckily hair grows back. read more

I read the reviews before going but went anyway. Big mistake. I went and waited 1 hour to get my nails done. No one attempted to update me on when I would be next. After the young lady I thought was going to do my nails started on someone else I asked how long I had to wait and the manager yelled another hour. I could tell she wanted to be confrontational and mind you I am very visibly pregnant. I will never go to this place again. read more

I've been going there for 3 years as a faithful with the same nail technician. I'm always polite with a positive attitude and the 1 time I miss an appointment, not only did they get rude and nasty in regards but they wouldn't book me another appointment. Tuesdays most nails salons in ES are closed, which is why I decided to go to Alpha nails for the first time. The place looks really nice and clean. Aesthetically appealing is one thing but definitely poor leadership and management. The manager decided to be rude with a customer who had a noon appointment and arrived 15 mins late. Once the customer left he made a hand wave gesture suggesting good riddance; poor taste in leadership. We were sat in the pedicure chairs at 12:29pm as water was filling, It required a loud shout to gain their attention that the tank was going to overflow. After waiting in the chair with pruny feet for an exact hour we decided to leave. If I can give less than one star I would. Looks can be deceiving ! read more

This is one of the best nail places in the Poconos. I've been going here since they opened and they never fail to disappoint me. Went to Alpha Nails for the 1st time (April 9, 2016) & received a spa pedicure and I loved it !! Went back 2 weeks later to receive a regular pedicure just to see if it match the same quality. It did!!! They're clean & friendly. They even offer you FREE Water, Juice/Soda or Coffee & even WINE as your being serviced. Both Pedi's were amazing, she didn't rush & she took her time. They had a HUGE color selection. From Shellac colors & regular colors. Even tho I'm plain Jane. If you live in Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg area u have to go visit them. Visiting from out of state and had a rainy afternoon to fill with my daughters. We easily booked a same day appointment for two powder dips and a gel mani. We all left happy and appreciated each nail tech's attention to detail. Sometimes when you're traveling you might have a tendency to feel as though the service you're getting won't be as good since there's a chance you won't be back again, but not in this case. We felt like the service was excellent and very meticulous. If you're looking for a vacation mani/pedi, this is a great stop. read more

My girlfriend Wanda recommended this place I went and liked the job they did, but I will never go there again She has been going for 3 years , missed 1 appointment and they will not let her book another one. I love the beautiful work they do on my nails! Great group of nail techs there! I have NEVER had a nail come off! They can shape the nails anyway you'd like them. Love the mini hand massage and warm towel after they are done as well. I have gone to other shops that don't compare to the lovely nails I get there. Also it's nice to call and know how busy they are! They will let you know if they are slammed with sweet girls getting their nails for prom or if there's a 'gaggle' of ladies getting ready for a special event. Best gel nails EVER!! read more

Wow how to begin One star Is way to much This place picks and choose who they want to be nice too today I had an appointment and took my daughter who was just there two days ago and spent 65 bucks We are regulars I walked in so she can get a pedicure while I get my nails done Place is fairly empty but a quick no for her pedicure Then Ian rudely says that my minor can't wait there She has to wait outside What a slap to my face Covid my ass They don't practice safety measures at all How about cleaning the chairs every time a customer leaves and you sit someone else down but a minor wearing a mask is an issue I clearly will contact the department of health to this place immediately and have them check the licenses on every worker there Upset is an understatement since we have been going there for 3 years It begins with the owner and trickles to the underpaid workers Customer service here is lacking and I'm sure a lot would agree I won't be going there Anymore and she had the nerve to tell me that as well Thank god I did not lose my cool despite on how upset this made me Ian was rude Inconsiderate No manners Just a mean miserable overworked underpaid horrible nail tech Stay away from this place and spend your money somewhere else!!! read more

Never plan on going back after my experience 3 weeks ago. Came in for an acrylic fill with regular polish, no design so nothing too complicated. It was the worst acrylic application I've ever had. This isn't my usual salon, but I was out of town and I am religious about my nails. I walked in mid morning on a Tuesday, signed in, and then waited close to two hours. Their color selection is minimal (especially if you don't want gel which isn't recommended for acrylic to preserve the nail) and not up to date. The techs, yes two because the first girl could only take the color off and polish acrylics the tech next to her switched once he saw her start chipping at my nails, then applied the fill very thick and barely did any shaping. I keep my nails a coffin shape and said I wanted to keep them coffin. They ended up a distorted squoval in the end. The polish also chipped in 2 days. As soon as I got home I returned to my regular salon and it took so long to fix my nails, I would have been better off just having Alpha nails take them off and waiting to have a new set if it wasn't so impractical cost wise. I would not recommend Alpha nails to anyone looking for quality. read more

Took my BF's daughter here, as we both wanted to get a full set of acrylics. We didn't make an appointment, which i don't believe it would have mattered to be honest. We waited for about 5 minutes before they were ready to take one of us. My BF's daughter let me take the first chair, and the gentlemen doing my nails was very nice, however i am not 100% happy with my nails. I have 5 nails that are long naturally, and 5 nails that are challenged in the length dept., and i wanted them to all be the same length. Told him I wanted them to look very natural and not too thick because I work behind a computer all day, and do a lot of typing. The nails were all shaped very nicely, but were so thick and not well filed, the french tip paint job had too much white, and i had to fix my nails when i got home. My BF's daughter waited for about 20 minutes or so until she was able to be seated. The young man doing her nails did an excellent job! She got a set of coffin style acrylics that were perfectly portioned, they weren't too thick and were painted so nicely. For whatever reason i was charged $3.00 more than the price posted above the register, and my BF's daughter was told the coffin style nails were an extra $5.00, so I paid for two full sets of acrylics plus the extra $8.00 and a tip for both techs, which totaled about $80.00. After we got home my BF asked how everything went, and told him this: "If i were in the area, and the gentleman that did your daughter's nails was free, then i would have them done again. I will not drive all the way up to East Stroudsburg specifically to have them done at Alpha Nails. I can find somewhere closer to home, I'm sure." read more
