I've now been there 5 or 6 times. They're a good, basic haircut for a reasonable price. I'm an older guy, so I'm not asking for much. No weird cuts, no coloring, just a clean cut. Once again another great hair color from Natalie at fantastic Sam's in Spokane valley. She does an amazing job on mixing the right colors to get the best look you need and want. I also feel like the entire salon as a whole is very welcoming. They always greet you as soon as you want in the door which is good plus. read more

There was some serious disorganization regarding scheduling and wait lists, but I got a really nice cut for a really good price, so it evens out in the end. I came in on a Sunday morning before a trip and desperately needed a trim. One of the women told me to come back at 1 (it was about 11:45), so I left to do my thing. She didn't explain this was a wait issue (there was no one else in there waiting at the time), but made it seem like she was scheduling me for an appointment at that time. It turns out instead of making an actual waiting list to ensure that it is first-come-first-serve, they put everyone in for a time... then lose track of the order of the people who were entered. It seems incredibly inefficient and maybe the old paper and pen method would work more smoothly. Eventually it was straightened out, and while I didn't actually sit for my cut until 1:30, I got a great cut. I would go back for a simple cut, although I would see if it possible to actually make a real appointment or go at a less busy time. I was warned that Sundays are extremely busy for them. read more

Yikes. Walked in with my 10 yo to get her super basic cut done. We were greeted by a woman who looked so irritated that we were there. We sat down to wait our 15 minutes until 1 of the gals was free. 7/23/20 I've been a frequent customer to this location for close to 20 years. Not sure if it's the Covid or management. Staff was very unfriendly the place was a mess hair still on the floor from previous haircuts. Two people working. I was the only customer I was seated Immediately. I was treated like I had a disease. Yes I did have the mandatory mask on. Both of these women have been here for many years and they both have cut my hair in the past. Usually very friendly. My guess is they just didn't want to be working(and they probably shouldn't). Again I have lots of experience with this location. Makes me not want to come back again. read more

They need to send some of their stylists back to school because they don't even know what an ombré was let alone how to do one. (See pictures) I was told they could do what I wanted.. I even brought a picture and everything. Was very disappointed that I paid $80 to get these results.. I will not be returning. read more

RUN AWAY!! I Brought my 10 year old daughter to get a hair cut and had the most unprofessional stylist who never had a smile or pleasing thing to way the whole time we were there. She ripped a comb through my daughter's tangles and had her stand up and sit down times, then had a friend come in and sit nearby and chit chatted with her the entire time. During mid cut I saw her use the comb to scratch the back of her head and continued on combing and cutting my daughter's hair! I told her nothing blunt I didn't like that and I did want more tapered bangs and back. From stArt to finish I should have walked out and listened to my gut. Short blunt bangs and barely tapered back non styled and half dried cut is what We left with. We will NEVER return or RECCOMEND this place to anyone. I took my dughter for ice cream afterwards and she and I were in disbelief and tried to laugh it off. read more

Went in for a haircut. There was a wait so I went next door and got my nails done. Came back and got right in. I didn't catch the stylist's name but she was very nice and did a fabulous job. I just wanted a simple bob to clean up the mess my hair was in and she did exactly that. She made sure I was happy and as I said, she did a great job. Came in for a haircut and had my hair butchered instead. It was VERY choppy and uneven and just the worst haircut of my life--my stylist was Mark FYI. I did not realize how bad the cut was because I left with my hair wet and only noticed it when I got home and dried my hair. My stylist said I could go back to get it touched up if I noticed anything wrong with it, but it was so bad that I honestly did not want to go back. I had to go to another hair salon (Strata) a few days later to have it fixed as best they could. I was so sad and angry that I had paid to have my hair ruined. At least it was only $15 down the drain. I have had some good stylists at Fantastic Sams before but this was not one of those times. read more

This and my last experience were absolutely horrible. My first time was with Wendy and omg I can't even explain how horrible she was and did. I came home and was crying for the next week. I let that grow out for about a month and today I came back in. I don't remember her name but she was mid aged and had blond white hair. She was rude from the start and when I came in I said I want it straight. And when she was done I said that is not straight. Please Cut it straight. From then in she was very rough and made me feel so horrible with her comments. She was yelling at me. And when I say yelling I mean she was yelling. Like it scared me. She wouldn't do what I wanted so I just said You know what. I don't want you to touch it so I left. And also my I mention that while I was there another costumer came in. My hair lady immediately said " what are you doing here! You need to get out and put a mask on! You can not be here without a mask" that scared him off and he didn't come back. I went in last Monday. Got an Awesome stylist named Michele B. ( don't know last name). Amazing. Haircut an color. I am very pleased . I will be returning as Michele now has a customer for life. She highlighted my hair an did some red streaks in there for flare. Her suggestion. So very happy. I have had a lot of compliments on my hair since. I love the fact they seem to wash everyone's hair.
