I stopped into Fantastic Sams in Rogers for a haircut and eyebrow wax. I was told they were booked and to make an appointment for the next day, so, I did. Returning the next day, I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen. The Fantastic Sam stylist did a mediocre job on the cut..and didn't seem to know how to do an eyebrow wax. When she finished, there was still somewhat of a unibrow left, so I asked her to clean that up. Instead of waxing it.... she took like 5 minutes and plucked it with a tweezer. All in all an amateur experience. Would not recommend it. read more

I have been here a number of times to have my 2 boys hair cut. I have always been satisfied until today. I brought in a picture of a cut I wanted for my older son. His hair WAS long, and we wanted it to stay longer, but be shaped up, a Shag haircut. She looked at the picture and said she could do it no problem. I sat down to wait and she preceded to take out the buzzer and buzzed off his hair with a #5 clipper!!!! The cut she gave him was NOTHING like the picture she had looked at!! I am still livid! Kira apologized that the cut was nothing like we had asked for. She looked at his card from last year and cut it according to those directions instead of how she promised and how I requested. I would never let her touch either of my kids hair again!! The manager did not charge me for the cut, and gave me a coupon for next time. I won't be going back. Ever. read more

I've been coming here for the past few years. The staff are very friendly. Conversations are great, polite, full of laughter, and they aren't afraid to tell you about themselves. They always put on a smile and help you decide what you want to do. As a guy, I love changing my hairstyle quite often. The staff always gives me great input and are very patient. The best part of it all is the hair wash after. They are SO GOOD at massaging your scalp. It's so relaxing, especially after you get off work. I have been coming to the Rogers, MN location to get my hair cut for a few years now. I never have to wait more than about 10 minutes and I always get a quality haircut done well and reasonably priced. I had a great haircut yesterday by Andie after I "struck out" at the new Sports Clips located close buy. I told my story of long waits and being ignored because I had a coupon for a free haircut to my my stylist Andie and she not only cut my hair very well, she gave me a free shampoo and also told me that she would give me $5 off if I turned in my Sports Clips coupon. Sold! I really wish that I had saved myself the headaches and aggravation and just went straight to Fantastic Sam's yesterday! Thanks Andie and Fantastic Sam's for another great experience! I left very unhappy with my haircut and color. I tried giving the benefit of doubt that I would like it once I could style it myself. After 2 weeks I had to go get the cut redone. The color while not completely what I asked for is tolerable. I however will not be returning. read more

Kudos to Nicole at Fantastic Sam's in Rogers. She was able to fix an unwanted inverted bob haircut that I received from another stylist at another hair salon. She listened to what I wanted and did it easily. I am so grateful to have my hair back to a style that works for me and is EXACTLY what I wanted !!! read more

This is the only place I go to get my hair done! The hairstylists are professional and friendly and always make sure to get my hair the way I want it. Also, the price for a color and a cut doesn't completely bankrupt me, which is much appreciated when trying to find a quality salon on a budget. read more

Your experience at any hair salon usually comes down to one thing, your stylist. I have had several haircuts here from many different people over the years. Typically my experience is just fine. I get a decent cut at a very good price. With that being said, I do have to give a special acknowledgement to the salon manager. She is very personable, nice, and professional. And i have been super pleased with the haircuts I have been getting from her. She does an absolutely wonderful job! Now I have a reason to go here other than convenience. read more

I'm bummed. My first time at a Fantastic Sams and the woman Andie was rushed and uninterested. I have a Mohawk and asked to have the sides shaved up and a trim of the long parts of my hair. She shaved the sides in a rush, shampooed me briskly borderline-uncomfortably, and trimmed. She blow dried my hair and before it was completely dry (still really wet on the ends) she said "is that good enough?" Because I felt like an inconvenience at that point I just said sure whatever and left. Stupid me. I should have at least demanded a hand mirror to see my haircut. The whole way home I felt my 'shaved' head and there were HUGE patches she completely missed!!! I could have done better on myself. I'm still pissed off about it a week later. Went in for a haircut, one star for a short wait time. When talking to the stylist about what I wanted, I was countered at every turn, then she turns around and cuts off an inch when I wanted 1/2". Stylist was very abrupt and did not ask a single time during the cut if it was what I wanted. Will not be coming back here. read more

Fantastic Sams is a franchised salon that reaches many different communities, one for example is Rogers, Minnesota. This particular shop is known for its excellent quality and friendliness in customer service and I personally have had great service there. Walking into a hair salon can definitely considered taking a big step, you have thought about this idea and know what cut, and color your going to get. Going to get your hair done is not something that comes to you in a dream. When your stylist at Fantastic Sams has been chosen you want your hair done flawless, its one of the first thing anyone sees about you. The Fantastic Sams in Rogers has always done an excellent job, whether it be going to a shorter length or layering my look they do it with a clean cut. In the coloring department some of their stylist are the greatest out in their field. Looking on their wall in the waiting lobby you know how good they are. They make it appear as natural as it can, and blend it so finely that the real hair coloring doesn't show through at an awkward angle. The highlighting on top or bottom always looks well blended. My highlights have come out amazing. Eyebrows are very tricking in taking away any unwanted pieces and creating the clean refined look. Mine always seem to be hard for stylist because of their unevenness so that makes me worried they will wax half of them off. Never have I gone to Fantastic Sams and been nervous. They do wonderful work that I'm proud to say I got them done there. Never has eyebrow shaping quality been so textbook perfect. Entering a business where I'm will be spending my money, friendliness is a key component. Being greeted with a friendly smile, asking "how are you doing?" and "how can I be of service to you?", is important. Silence or a one sided conversation, both don't make a good impressions and turns people away. Walking into Rogers, Fantastic Sams is a friendly experience. No matter how many customers they have someone always comes up to greet me. They give realistic timeframe when you will be taken care of and during the waiting duration they offer coffee and an excellent selection of magazines to read or children books or toys for the younger clients to enjoy. When getting my hair or eyebrows done there is never a dead silence. The stylist have the most interesting stories or let me talk about what I'm doing or where are you going to wear my new do. For 10 to 30 minutes of salon time, you have a new friend that listens and is interested in specifically you, as their client. Fantastic Sams is a franchise, but its also a neighborhood beauty shop. People go their for a service to look their best in the world, but come out with a whole new experience and attitude toward life. Fantastic Sams is an excellent place for getting the best quality for your hair. Never are they known to disappoint or deliver bad work. Twice in 2 weeks we went to this location between 3:00p-3:30p on a saturday and were turned away as they were too busy to do standard haircuts before closing at 6:00p. Bad way to serve a potential customer, went to another location at 9859 Maple Grove Pkwy N where they got us right in and had excelent customer service. Dont waste your time in rogers. read more
