BEWARE!!!!!! We arrived in Destin on a Wednesday. Our other friends with our party had rented from this company the day prior so we figured we would go with them. I called to inquire about renting and they do not take reservations and said they only had two 10 seating golf carts available that day . (When we got to the location, they had four 6 passenger carts on the lot but I figured they were out of service since I stayed at the counter I wanted a 6 person cart) Since another family had not rented theirs yet we figured we would just go ahead with the bigger one. The cart was over $1,000 for 5 days but it was close to our place for easy return and didn't seem too bad of a price comparing them to the others. We attempted to drive down to a store after renting. The cart was IMPOSSIBLE to turn, the tires were rubbing the front plastic and it set so low to the ground that you couldn't get up a curb without a struggle. Not wanting to cause any damage we immediately drove it back and had it for less than 20 minutes. We told them our situation and they said they would switch it out for their other 10 seater. This one was rusted, the turn signal was broken off and had exposed wires that made noises when they touched. This cart was also...IMPOSSIBLE to turn!! We didn't even drive it off the lot. We gave up and went to ask what to do. THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS!!!!!!! But suddenly, they had a 6 person one for us to use if we wanted it BUT they COULDN'T give us the difference in a refund. So we had to either walk away from a ton of money and have no cart, or take the 6 person and deal with the loss. It was most definitely a scam to get more money. I know why they don't give refunds...because EVERYONE WOULD WANT ONE!! read more

Be careful of scam.. they make you sign for rentals and then tell you of the mandate to wear sunglasses, and hence need to buy sunglasses from their store.. then they did not mention that you have to fill up gas prior to coming back, and yet no one checked the gas tank prior to starting and no way to know how much gas to fill.. 2-3 cars were forced to fill up (took 20 minutes just to get to gas station and fill) , despite only needing like 60 cents per car.... they still forced the requirement.. Very dissatisfied with instructions and explanation.. Would not go there again.. read more

The Racer 50's were fun little motorcycles and cheap for what they give you. the only issue me and my buddy had was that my bike had the lights out and the throttle was stuck at some points. the lights weren't a big deal since it was rented during the day. the throttle getting stuck however could've hurt someone pretty bad if they didn't have knowledge on how to ride a motorcycle. they gave me either another night for free with a new bike or half of what I payed for the trip as a refund. other than one of the bikes being broken, it was good fun and the service was quick and easy. the bikes are gonna be rough when anyone can rent them. I would just make sure you look at the bike before u take off with it. I'm sure they would gladly exchange it. read more

Flexible and accommodating. The folks here were willing to cut my group a deal since we only wanted to rent the bikes for a couple of hours versus all day. The bikes come in a guy version and girl version. I think the difference is in how high the metal bar is set. The staff said something about how the lowered barred bikes are for the girls so it's easier for skirts and dresses to go over. They also have scooters and small buggies (?) for rent as well. There is of course a gift shop here too if you want to do some browsing. Before I forget, you have the option to add a basket to the bikes. It's helpful if you want to dump a jacket, water bottle, or anything loose in it. It's a metal basket coated in plastic so it's not something you can dump loose change in. Make sure you do not lose the bike lock or its key. There will be a $10 charge if either is lost. The keys do come loose if you have it stuck in the lock. The bike ride will make the key come loose and fall out. read more

This outfit rented a "scootcar" to our next door neighbors. When our neighbor got in, they had trouble getting the scootcar to start moving. Once they did, the car lunged forward uncontrollably and did about $1000 worth of damage to my car. When the scootcar was returned, the rental attendant checked the car and admitted that it was not working correctly. The attendant even had to jimmy it with a screwdriver to be able to drive it to the parking area. The attendant indicated that the owner would be available to discuss the matter later that afternoon. When the issue was brought up with the owner, he refused to pay for the damage that his malfunctioning scooter caused to my car. In fact he said they my neighbor was lucky that he wasn't going to come after him for damage to the scootcar. When the fact tat the attendant ADMITTED that the scootcar wasn't working properly, he said that the attendant was going to be fired and that he still wasn't paying. Clearly my neighbor is in the right here and could easily win a lawsuit, if he were willing to fly Back to Florida for a court date. But the crook who owns this place knows that isn't worth the trouble. Now my neighbor, who seems like a great guy, is stuck having to pay for my bumper or file an even costlier insurance claim. read more

Went here 9/13 and it was my worst scooter experience yet. I've been coming to destin for years now and this is our 2nd time renting from this place. As we walked in around 12:30 there was an employee who was at the door inside and first things he told our group (10 of us) how many scoot-cars and how many scooters. A couple of the people in my group had never been here before and wanted to see prices but he made us choose right then and there and I could tell by the look on his face he was frustrated at us because we didn't know what we wanted. That was rude of him rolling his eyes and sighing and shaking his head. Check out process starts it goes smoothly with a different guy who was a lot more polite. We get sent out to the front and we start looking at the carts and they all look beat up. The guy who we first met was out there to set us up. As we were getting set up it didn't sound like instructions he reminded me of a nagging parent. As he was "explaining" he showed us the functions of the scooters. He referenced the horn button and mentioned on some scooters it will work and some won't. We honked to check and he said "And that's why they don't work because you use them for no reason" by this point I was tired of his raunchy attitude. We had to be back at 5:30 and we left at 1 and paid for 5 hours they should start when we leave. One of our member throttles the scooter and it didn't even go past 3mph and we Only rode 50 feet before one was already broken. We switched it and drove about a mile and the scooter we had switched for had a flat tire. After Finally getting to ride for 30 mins a scoot-car goes down after a loud pop. Called them and they arrived in 10 mins and brought us another one. After another 30 mins we go to eat and when we returned to the scooters the scoot-car that was exchanged wouldn't start now. Called them again said they would be there in 20 mins we waited 35 mins and drove to them instead with the working scooters just to bring another scoot-car so we could continue our time. While returning them the raunchy guy comes out and sighs and says let's inspect them. First thing he points out is a loose blinker that he actually had tucked in to its place at the beginning. We all watched him do that so we thought he was joking but he was serious and I had it with this guy. By the way we didn't get any compensation for any of the time that was wasted by their badly maintained scooters. I will seriously never return to this place. The staff consisted of a bi polar older man that one minute is flipping out about parking spots to the next talking about being in church and having his life right, to the young guy that acted like he was on meth. They "locked up" our credit card tickets for safety. Only to not have the key to the office (which was a closet highly secured with a bi fold louvered door). Funny thing was there were tons of other peoples credit card tickets laying around. NOT SAFE!!! Long in the short, we ended up calling the police down since the owner that we finally got to talk to threatened to come down and kick our a$& and use many other terms not suitable for this review. The office said that this was not the first time he's been called out and even recommended we rent elsewhere. A big group of us rented 3 scootcars, 3 scooter trikes. We were excited to ride down the coast line. Little did we know we were getting in a death trap. Not even a mile down the road on our first slight turn my 21yr old cousin veered off into the left lane and got into a head on collision. He was trying to do everything he could to turn to the right but the faulty steering wouldnt let him. He hit an oncoming van and luckily walked away with just scrapes and bruises. He rode the trike off to the side of the road. The lady in the van told the cop that came to the scene that she saw my cousin trying to do everything he could to turn but the bike kept veering to the left. When we called the rental place and told them that we got into an accident down the road they said "oh are you guys at the turn? People always wipeout there" We didnt even tell them where we were but apparently this happens all the time. They told us to ride it back to the shop but after that no one wanted to put their lives at stake. The guy that gave us the tutorial on how to ride them came out to tow it back. He told the cops that everything in the contract we signed protects them and makes the rider in any accidents liable for all damages to the all vehicles involved. He also said that these things happen all the time and the rider is always at fault. He told us that the damages werent that bad. We took the remaining 5 rentals back and started noticing how little maintenance goes into these things. they are literally falling apart. I rode my scootcar back and my speedometer was broken and the steering was wobbly. Back at the shop the owner said the trike was a total loss before even seeing or riding the vehicle. The trike hit the front bumper on the van but definitely was still rideable. We told the owner his maintenance guy said the trike wasnt in bad shape and he responded saying that "that guy is a piece of shit!" Ridiculous! They dont take care of their vehicles! They are crooks! Dont go here! It almost cost our cousin his life and now our other cousin that paid for everyone has been charged $1,000 without authorization. read more

My family and I went here today to rent a scooter car. We were standing in line to wait our turn. Once we were next to be helped the older man standing behind the desk completely ignored us and assisted the people behind us. He gave them papers to read and sign and even asked my daughter to move over so they can use the space to sign the form. We left and didn't bother to give them our business. We rented 3 scooters for 24 hours. After the first 30 minutes, 2 out of the 3 scooters began to act up. We tried bringing them back to explain to the owner that we were experiencing issues, with no luck. Overnight got even worse. After we ate dinner with the family, the kids wanted to ride on the scooters. Approximately 3+ miles from the hotel one of the scooters died on us( it was not the battery). We brought all the scooters back bright and early to tell them we wanted a refund on at least one of the scooters. They felt no remorse for leaving kids stranded and scared on the side of the road. Overall disappointed in the lack of any customer service. Earlier that day, we met the owner of Coastal Cruisers and he was extremely nice!!! And had more WAY cheaper prices. Scooters were fun, but employees were all rude!! Horrible customer service!! I asked for a helmet and the guy asked if I was under 16 I said no but I want one he then argued with me and said I didn't need one, he then walked me towards where they were stopped and cussed on his microphone out loud and then realized I was still waiting to see where the helmets were and yelled they are over there behind door! And walked away. We had 7 people in our group they helped sign in 2 people in the middle of trying to sign us in so we all got different check in/out times even though we all came in at the same time to rent them we then waited outside to be shown how to ride it, and the guy started yelling at our other friends that they couldn't sit and wait on us they had to leave unless they were returning the bikes that they had just rented one minute before us!! The guy started arguing with us and I said its ur fault because the employees inside are taking so long to check all of us in and we can't all leave when not all of us are ready! Four miles down the road the scooter breaks down so we pull over and call "Brian" he says come back and bring me the key and I will go get it but I'm gonna have to charge you $10 to come and get it because it's out of my "jurisdiction" really? Four miles down the road is out of your jurisdiction?! We immediately got a bad feeling about the place So we go back and hand him the key and ask for our $86 back. He says no. No refunds. Rented 2 bikes. First one broke within a half mile. Took it back. No one tried to help so we grabbed another one. Had fun riding them around for 3 or our 8 hour allotted time. About 5 miles from the shop, one of the bikes broke again. We called and they laughed at us being far away and said they would send someone. 20 minutes later (only 15 minutes away from the shop) we called and they had yet to send anyone to get us. They finally sent someone ou but 45 minutes and 2 calls (of which they hung up on me) later, no one had come yet to pick us up. Found out later that they had sent a man on a scooter out to "fix" the bike (instead of driving us and the bikes back) and that scooter could not drive on the main roads. The guys at the shop had no way of telling us how much longer to wait because the scooter driver wouldn't answer his phone. When we got picked up by a family member and driven back, no refund or explanation or apology was offered and the man on the scooter had still not returned. read more
