Staff greeted us and explained pricing, took copies of our driver's license, and asked us to read and sign/initial the Scooters Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and Release of Liability. My husband and I rented two scooters for 2 hours for $285.00. There is a $200 deposit that was refunded the next day. Helmets under Florida law, riders over the age of 21 who carry at least $10,000 in medical insurance coverage are not required to wear a helmet. You are required to wear a helmet when you take possession of the scooter but can remove it when you are off of their property. Eyewear is required, so bring your sunglasses. Trust me you will need it. Staff offered a brief instructional on how to operate the scooter and observed a test drive in the front parking lot. After two circles we were off! It is against the law to drive scooters on the interstate or main highways. You can ride on the side streets and six mile beach strip. It was the perfect Florida afternoon to ride the beach strip and enjoy the sun, especially when the beach is crowded. Make sure you return the scooter with a full tank otherwise you will be charged $10.00. There is a Shell gas station on the strip and was less than $2.00 to top off two scooters. My wife ordered bikes for drop off a few weeks before our arrival. They never showed up, or answered the phone. I went by a few times and no one was at the establishment. They finally responded, "Will.not be able to fulfill order.......so sorry but will refund amount paid.....have extenuating circumstances and do apologize". Still no answer and weeks later, no refund. Very friendly counter help. Covid compliant and required any who entered to wear a mask. All employees wearing masks as well After reading reviews in the area, and picking between Fantasea Scooters and Coastal we settled on Coastal due to slightly better reviews and less issues w deposits. We did a two hour rental 49cc engine (two of us on scooter) and had no problems w payment ($49--w$100 deposit addtl that we received confirmation or credit immediately after returning). Scooter rode well and got us all around the coastal area for a couple of hours. Concerning was the condition of the scooter. First one picked for us the engine wouldn't stay running at idle, so she switched it for another. That one would stay running, but right mirror was missing, right turn signal did not work, seat was very worn and coming apart near the seam, and the left handle was held together w electrical tape. With all the talk about deposits, you would think the units would be repaired. Ours made some noises, but did get us from point A to point B. The scooters at the other place looked to be in better shape as we drove by, but not sure about customer service (which was really good here) read more

Lies about prices, lies about the business hours, lies about meeting and has the nerve to cuss me out and hang up on me repeatedly for no reason. Wife tries to apologize and swears that he's coming to meet. Then she stops answering and he never shows. Finally replies after me waiting for 2hrs trying to reach out the whole time, saying he's not meeting me. I drove 2hrs both ways, twice! Said I didn't communicate but I've got the txt and call log! Some of the equipment looks a bit rough due to the salt air environment but they have a maintenance shop that helps keep everything running well. read more

John is the best, very busy place because it was over spring vacation and i took my mini to be fixed since the chain got stuck. He was busy but willing to interrupt what he was doing to help us even if he got interrupted again a couple of times. He managed to fix the problem and give it a nice tuneup. It runs like a Ferrari now. I will go back if I need his services. They are all very friendly and love their customers and most important they do a good job, a little pricey but I am willing to pay the asking price if the job is well done, no complaints and I will never use their complaint forms, it is only a modest opinion. We were heading to Sandestin this past June (2021) and my husband decided last minute that he wanted to rent a bike so he could get some exercise in each morning. I called Coastal Cruisers and was able to rent him a bike so easily and they even delivered it right to our condo! They had a few options for him to choose from, delivered it quickly and were super friendly. It was a very reasonable price and when we got to our condo it was there waiting for us. **EDIT** this has been resolved; still unhappy that I was promised a callback I never received in which they could have relayed information and I'd have been happy to wait to clear a resolution. But, overall experience minus that one remains positive. We rented two scooter cars from them on 3/25 or 3/26 (it was vacation, days are blurry). They did extend our reservation due to multiple breakdowns. On Saturday, I notice that the transaction cleared for $214 ... it was supposed to be $104 plus $10 tip plus $100 deposit; the deposit has not been returned at this time but I am waiting to see if it clears in the next few days. I called on Monday and the lady says she's "not at the shop" but she will check on it when she gets there and call me back, this was around 12-1230pm... the day came and went... no call back which I find highly unprofessional. Good deals on rentals just make sure to keep your receipts / monitor your accounts in case of clerical errors. read more

The 1 star is only because the staff is friendly when you are renting. However, I would NOT rent from this company. We rented 2 scooters, 1 of which stalled every time you took down the throttle, then couldn't be restarted easily. This is dangerous as you have to stop so frequently for pedestrians. Then traffic is angry because you can't go when it is your opportunity. We swapped the scooter out for a different one (this took up time from our vacation). The next one did the same thing. We tried to text the owner for assistance and had no response. We really wanted to check out the Harbor Walk at night and could not because we would have been stranded way away from our hotel. The third scooter then also failed. A kind fellow tourist help us to jump them to get them started but we had to leave the throttle on, even when breaking to a stop in order for them not to stall. SO DANGEROUS. Rent from someone else... seriously. Lastly, when I asked for a full refund, they refund only $20. read more

My family & I rented a 24' 13 Passenger pontoon yesterday afternoon to spend the evening at Crab Island. Not only was the boat everything we had hoped & was an AMAZING price compared to other rental places, John & his wife Rose were the cherry on top. When we arrived at the boat dock John helped my family & I on the boat and then drove us around the bay to show us around before setting us free for the day. At the end of the day Rose & Himself were both at the dock to help us dock the boat and then helped us get everything off the boat, including ourselves. They were some of the nicest people we met while on our trip & truly gave our family the experience of a lifetime at an affordable price. I have been dealing with this company for months now trying to get my deposit back from a scooter i rented while on vacation. I always call but they never answer or return my calls after they say they will and the few times i actually did talk to her on the phone she was rude and told me she knew how to run a business and hung up in my face. 3 times now they have told me they returned my deposit but i have been in contact with my bank and they haven't seen it come through still. We rented a scooter and a golf cart from them returned both the same as we picked them up. These people will SCAM you out of your money. i've waited so long to post this review giving them the benefit of doubt but it's been since June i've been waiting on my money it's safe to say i don't see them making it right at this point. read more

That is super important folks cuz on cruisers everyone one looks, so you need to look cute! They had a Pink one and Yellow one at the Hilton and gave us the combos and we were off!
