Hands down this was the worst massage and spa treatment either of us has ever had. The spa is cluttered and doesn't feel clean. The treatment rooms were cold and damp, the ladies had to turn on a heater and place extra towels over us to keep us warm. Our 1 hour massage was the worst we have ever had. On several occasions the masseuse put far too much pressure over bones or joints causing pain. None of our muscular tension was relieved and we felt more tense after. We wanting to leave even prior to our 1 hour facial. The facial that followed was as bad if not worse. The products were cheap, heavily scented and left the skin feeling irritated and heavy. Very disappointing considering this cost us over $400 and we left feeling more stiff and sore and less relaxed.

I called back and she asked me if I was on the side of the Chinese restaurant and I said yes and the doors still weren't working. Anyway I got in (as someone used their key to enter and I followed). Once upstairs I found out that the appointment I made the night before was not in their system. At first I thought to myself, perhaps it wasn't meant for me to go there however the young woman at the desk was so pleasant and she went to seek advice (I guess). In the meantime I messaged the person that I was messaging back-and-forth last night and they offered me to sit in the sauna prior to the service as they would be able to honor my appointment just at a little later time. I must say the young woman who I did not get her name, but she was from France, did a spectacular job! I had a two hour massage and I wish I could've laid there for another two hours. I had requested a foot reflexology and wish that could've been a little longer however I will definitely go back when back in Auckland.

I can honestly say Fon is possibly the best masseuse I have had work on my tight bid. The premises (Fon spent a whole w/e freshly painting the rooms) is very welcoming and tranquil. After tea is offered your feet soak in the fresh flower petal bowl. I've had this in many spas. Nice touch. After undressing and getting face down the treatment is very personal. Fon now knows what my body needs. Hard pressing on the tight muscles ( I have plenty) and softer on other parts. I keep coming back week after week. Can't wait for next week. Booked in the morning for a 11am session which would last 45 minutes and cost around 40 dollars. The style of massage was traditional Thai, and had its main focus on relieving stress in the muscles. My Thai massage therapist was a tiny lady but boy did she posses a strong hand or two. Her technique started off at my lower back and spine and worked its way up my neck- really relieved every ounce of pressure I had when I walked in, and after 30 minutes I could feel my muscles all relax and soften. Unbelievable, if you are one of those people who can relax with strong pressure massage, then this is a fantastic option. The whole time, they play meditation music whilst you lie and relax, and after you even get a few cups of delicious jasmine tea. I really would like to return again and see what the full body massage is like, I'm sure I would fall asleep for it.
