Booked in the morning for a 11am session which would last 45 minutes and cost around 40 dollars. The style of massage was traditional Thai, and had its main focus on relieving stress in the muscles. My Thai massage therapist was a tiny lady but boy did she posses a strong hand or two. Her technique started off at my lower back and spine and worked its way up my neck- really relieved every ounce of pressure I had when I walked in, and after 30 minutes I could feel my muscles all relax and soften. Unbelievable, if you are one of those people who can relax with strong pressure massage, then this is a fantastic option. The whole time, they play meditation music whilst you lie and relax, and after you even get a few cups of delicious jasmine tea. I really would like to return again and see what the full body massage is like, I'm sure I would fall asleep for it.

I can honestly say Fon is possibly the best masseuse I have had work on my tight bid. The premises (Fon spent a whole w/e freshly painting the rooms) is very welcoming and tranquil. After tea is offered your feet soak in the fresh flower petal bowl. I've had this in many spas. Nice touch. After undressing and getting face down the treatment is very personal. Fon now knows what my body needs. Hard pressing on the tight muscles ( I have plenty) and softer on other parts. I keep coming back week after week. Can't wait for next week. The massage I ordered started off with a foot spa and massage (I just about collapsed into a puddle on the floor, it was that good) and then moved onto the main event the Rebalance Hot Stone Massage; which comprised of all the usual massage techniques and then the application of the hot stones (they're warm not scorching, don't worry) onto areas of the body. When they placed the stones onto my back it really was the most amazing feeling ever, it just felt like the warmth was leaching out all over my body. At the end of my treatment I swear I just about floated out of Bliss. You can find me still orbiting around space somewhere.

The first time I went here was because I got a voucher for my birthday, which was actually bittersweet because after getting a taste for Bliss, I now must pay for myself. From the moment you walk in the door you feel transported to a place of relaxation. The dark wood, background music, lovely smells and mellow staff made me forget within seconds that I was on one of the main roads in Takapuna. First they took me through to soak my feet in a warm footbath while sipping on a green tea. There were no magazines or tvs, just me chilling. Being forced into just doing nothing can be really amazing. I was then take through to get my massage which.was.amazing. They didn't try to chat, I was warm, comfortable and in heaven. My masseuse was fantastic. Such a lovely experience, and I left feeling lighter than air.
