I used to go to the Pakuranga branch for years but my executive stylist had moved on - so I relocated to the Botany branch. My most recent stylist is Anna, she is an absolute doll and I love her expertise and the way she just knows what to do with my hair! Almost all the time, I just arrive with my long hair and she'd ask me "So what are we doing today"? and I would respond with a "You tell me", and she would just work her magic. I love that I have this kind of relationship with my stylist and I am always 100% happy with the outcome. You would have probably seen photos of my hair and I always do get compliments regarding my hair - well its because of Anna and Schnips guys! My most recent visit was before I left for my overseas experience USA bound back in March and I had always been wanting to try ombre'. It took about 2 hours to complete. Anna and the assistant stylist that helped took the time and their full attention to make sure that both colours blended together nicely! I was so stoked when my hair was dried and Anna even went through the trouble of tinting my eyebrows to make sure it matched with my new do! She is amazing. Looking at how long my hair is now I had to actually get rid of the ombre` as it ended up looking like really bad regrowth and I can not be sporting something like that... ha. In regards to service, Schnips has always treated me well! Both of the locations I had been to have been absolutely amazing and I love that they offer you beverage the moment you arrive. They also keep a file or record from all your previous visits so they know what was last done when there. The head massage is also amazing and they take the time to shampoo your hair twice, condition and even do a treatment. I usually spend about $250 or ever more when I visit but let me tell you it is absolutely worth it. I don't even blink when I hand over my card because of the results. Just stunning. I love it and I can't wait to come back to get my hair pampered!

I was attended by an unexperienced girl who let the color sit on the root for too long, which ended up causing a orange carrot shade and after realising the horrible disaster they saturated my hair in peroxide to try to light up the point. I left very disappointed and I ended up paying about 245$ NZD for a redish/black/orange color that wasn't even the one I expected.

We chose the "should and neck" massage ($25 for 20 minutes) - she sat in a chair and they placed a towel over her shoulder/neck for them to massage over (only outer clothing needed to be removed). The masseuse used a variety of chinese massage techniques and worked tirelessly for the whole 20minutes. We were very impressed with the service and my grandma was very happy after we left saying how much tension she had managed to release in such a short space of time. They offer massage services for all body parts (including full body massages) and also acupuncture (by appt and also for ACC claims). Located at the Pak N Save end of Sylvia Park Shopping Mall - you may miss this gem ! Booking was made over the phone and the person I talked to was accommodating. My fear when using vouchers is that the service can be a little slack, this was not the case here. I was given light clothes to change into and asked to lay on the massage table. The Thai Massage therapy involves deep tissue massage using pressure points and gentle stretching. The massage was very relaxing and reminded me of Balinese massage in its style, with no oil and no nudity (perfect if you are a bit shy or do not want skin contact). It is rare that I love a place to the point of saying "I will come back even without a voucher" but Bann Thai is one of them. I encourage you to give them a try!

Neither of us had heard of this place before, but after having left my girlfriend in charge of booking, this is the place we ended up heading to. When we came here there were no signs obviously indicating that this is a place to get massages. We walked up the old dirty looking staircase to find three women upstairs waiting for our arrival. I don't mean to be rude and criticise, but the entire time from finding the entrance to walking up the stairs, being lead into a bright little room and not having the lady leave while I was trying to get changed, I felt totally and utterly uncomfortable. I did not find the massage relaxing at all because the environment was not inviting what so ever. The music playing in the background was the radio which I felt was playing ads majority of the time. Also there was a good half metre to a metre gap between the ceiling and the walls dividing up the room. This allowed me to hear the man next door complain about how sore this ankle was. I didnt really appreciate hearing that when my main focus was to relax and unwind. I'm sure there will be some people out there who have had a nice experience here, however I personally felt incredibly uncomfortable and left more tense than I walked in. If you're after a therapeutic massage I personally wouldn't recommend coming here.

That means they can give a deep tissue massage, after which you feel a cross between exhilarated and exhausted. They respond to requests so if you need them to focus on a sore part of your body or go more gently then they will do that. This is not one of those places that puts emphasis on decor or atmoshere or ambience. But if you are looking for a top notch thai massage then Lisa and Phoebe cannot be beaten.
