While I didn't have any major complaints or discomfort at the time of my visit, I shared the things "wrong with me" per a chiropractor I met with previously. (Left leg shorter than right, C1 or 2 out of alignment). Dr. Christine (and Two Hands) takes a holistic approach to treatment, which I appreciate. I absolutely loved the soft tissue massage/ manipulation to work with the muscles in concert with the joints. She did some work on my ribs (under the scapula), one or two other areas along the spine, and hips. And my right foot, which I broke a few years back. (I didn't even know it was possible to have more mobility on the outer top/side of the foot!) The whole process was really interesting to me. Christine also told me about an exercise I can do for my hip flexors, that I hadn't heard of before. I absolutely recommend Dr. Christine to anyone looking for a chiropractor!

I had high hopes for Whole Health Chicago on the basis of glowing reviews from others. Faced with…read morethe unexpected closure of my primary healthcare provider, and as one who prioritizes a complementary and integrative approach over a plethora of pills, I decided to take the first step and book a telehealth appointment. As other reviewers mentioned, it is difficult to get a live person on the phone when calling the office--most often my calls would be routed to voicemail, and the call back would come at an inconvenient time, lending to cycles of phone tag. Despite this hiccup, the telehealth appointments were relatively easy to schedule, and I felt the provider, Brett, was knowledgeable in her area of practice even though we lacked a chemistry as patient and provider (no one's fault, just the way things happen). I went ahead with the labs that were recommended, and that is when things started to go sideways. I made my way to the office on Clybourn on a blustery late winter day last year to have the labs drawn. The waiting area was a bit chaotic and crowded, with the chairs close together. I'm not a mask absolutist, but was surprised to note that a few of the medical providers were not wearing medical face masks. The technicians who drew my blood were professional and offered me a snack at the end, so I give them high marks. However, the front desk staff were not at all transparent in how I would be billed for this procedure, assuring me that I would not be paying thousands of dollars (I note that I did have insurance at the time, just not Blue Cross which appears to be Whole Health's preferred provider). When the bill came, it was much higher than expected. Apparently, I was supposed to have gotten a referral for these tests but unsure as to how that would work, since all of the work (examining and testing) was all done in house. I later found out that Whole Health contracts with another provider to run the tests. I am fortunate that I was able to pay the bill without having to resort to loans or medical debt, but walked away from this experience wanting nothing more to do with Whole Health and feeling that our US healthcare system is irredeemably broken.

Before I write this review, I feel some history is in order to truly understand why I'm giving…read moreChicagoland Complete Healthcare such a stellar rating. I've been through many doctors that really only see me as a paycheck, or another number to get through. Painful injections, glossing over symptoms, ignoring concerns, blanket diagnoses - I got sick of it. When I lost insurance in my early 20's and could no longer afford it, I spent a lot of time refusing to go to doctors not just because of the cost, but because of the way I was treated. I recently started dating a nurse, and when he found out I hadn't seen a doctor in almost ten years and was exhibiting some pretty crappy symptoms of anemia and a few other things, he insisted I get it over with and book an appointment. I have good insurance now, and there really isn't any excuse. I finally bucked up and went poking around, and after a few places that told me it would be a month or more before an appointment, I found Chicagoland Complete Healthcare. I was greeted by some of the gentlest office staff who were efficient but certainly not rude whatsoever. I got my initial paperwork done and I cringed, waiting for the judgment and the comments. My anxiety was ready to be treated poorly all over again, but I received nothing of the sort. I was into the office quickly and was seen by Dr. Tyson Stock within minutes, who sat down with me and actually spent the time to understand my concerns, my history, my symptoms, and listened to my fears. We discussed what to update on my records, the tests I needed done, my worries about insurance and a host of other things. He was amazing. I had a test done I didn't want to do but knew I needed to and was shaking horribly (trust me, I felt like an idiot). He made sure to tell me exactly what he was doing, when he was doing it, and there were no surprises. He was kind, caring, and got things done the way a doctor should. I trust him implicitly with my health and while the tests scare me, the doctor's office doesn't. Recommend this place 100%. Dr. Stock is a gem and truly wants to take care of you. I know I'm in good hands here.

I've been tolerating the general incompetence of doctors in this office for ten years, but it's much more difficult to deal with blatant rudeness. As a separate issue, Dr. Patricio is awful about sending prescriptions on time. Some of my medications need to be taken daily, yet Dr. Patricio shows no sense of urgency when sending refills to the pharmacy. A couple of months ago, she was 6 days late sending a prescription to the pharmacy--that was 6 days that I didn't have important medication that I take daily. Despite calling multiple times every day, it took 6 days for her to finally send it. Her behavior is borderline malpractice.

I was just about to give up then cancel any and all future appointments for any doctor including Dr. Goldfarb. I'm glad I didn't cancel hers; it was the appointment that was the soonest in my waiting period for any others I was to see. Her team of nurses made me laugh and reminded me what laughter was because I have been depressed knowing my body has been falling apart over time. Other doctors just treat the symptoms and not the actual problem that's causing the symptoms. No doctor or nurse ever bothered to ask, "How are you feeling, tell me everything". Both Dr. Goldfarb's team and herself asked me this. The tears and overwhelming emotion came over me while talking to Dr. Goldfarb and her team because no one bothered to listen to me let alone ask me this. Previous doctors were quick to get me out in minutes while running the same CBC & Iron blood test panels as if that would actually tell them anything. Then bill me $500 for them saying "idk" give me Psych referrals, then gaslight me. They would just give the same, "Exercise and drink water, you'll be fine; you're young". Right. Cause I hadn't thought of that or been told that by 4 other doctors before. I explained to Dr. Goldfarb my symptoms and more. I asked her if she could run a test for my hormones as I knew it had to be something, something someone missed. She agreed then mentioned my liver had some elevated levels too and that she wanted to do more testing on this. She listened. She did patient and family history to make sure she was thorough, asked me personal in depth questions about me and when life changed for me health wise, she understands how CPTSD can cause symptoms not only in the brain - but the rest of the body; creating health issues that can be missed. Dr. Goldfarb is very knowledgeable in body & mind being connected. I have chosen to stick with her because I can tell you that the health system is absolute trash and to find a great doctor is like finding a needle in a haystack. Really. Other doctors don't care about their patients and honestly believe people are faking it. Choose Dr. Goldfarb & her team, they are: Compassionate. Kind. Great listeners. Attentive. Thorough.
