My husband had a severe reaction to a shot given at this doctor's office. He was exhibiting all of the signs of anaphylaxis but Dr. Copeland did not give him an Epi Pen. This office requires my husband to carry the Epi Pen with him to each shot and he had it in his bag. Regardless, this office gives shots so they should have an Epi Pen on site and know how to recognize and treat these reactions. Dr. Copeland continues to argue that my husband's reaction was a seizure due to a neurological problem and not due to the allergy shots, despite the fact that my husband has no history of neurological problems, had no health issues prior to getting the shot that day, but has had a history of minor reactions to each of the shots given at this office, of which he informed the staff regularly. My husband had to be treated in the ER, and as soon as he received epinephrine and Benadryl, his condition improved. The hospital staff all agreed that he had suffered an anaphylactic reaction to his allergy shot. Despite this, at our expense, Copeland is sending him on various tests to prove that it wasn't due to the shot. He is also refusing to see or speak to my husband until he gets these neurological tests. He always has his assistant call my husband when he has questions. Copeland needs to be accountable and admit that the reaction was very likely due to the allergy shot, and treat this situation as such. My husband wants to speak to Copeland to understand what happened, and he won't speak to him. Anaphylaxis is a life threatening situation, and Copeland does not seem to be taking this seriously. I would not recommend this provider to my worst enemy.

He prescribed me a medication I told him did not work for me, and it didn't, causing extreme pain. I arrived for my followup appointment at the place and time they had texted me to go. The shared receptionist had no record of my appointment, and instead had a completely different date and time that I cannot make and would not have scheduled. I am now calling their office and am unable to get a response. This is not a serious medical practice.
