I have spent 100's of dollars in this store and I was very disappointed when a friend of mine came up from Phoenix to spend the week with me in Prescott.we went shopping in "Fancy That " we bought shoes and I bought a top. She went back down to Phoenix and after trying the shoes on again down in Phoenix she realized they were a little bit too loose on her asked me to return them. When I brought them back with receipt in brand new perfect condition. I was told they could give me a store credit and that they have a seven day return policy. Then after they gave me the store credit they also informed me you only have 30 days to use the store credit. So a person that lives in Phoenix that doesn't come to Prescott very often is basically just screwed out of their money and get nothing in return. Good Luck! read more

I really enjoy supporting small business when I can, but I don't feel like I will ever go back to Fancy That!! I've been a couple times and always have been snubbed and not treated well. I've heard from others the same feeling they get there as well. I had to go there today to return a shirt. I would've been there A LOT sooner except for the quarantine thing we r in. With the tag still on the shirt and receipt in hand they said I missed the cut off time for returns. Even though all I wanted was a store credit. Local business are great for the communities we live in but they should also be willing to help the community that they want to b supported by. Three strikes u r out!!!! read more

Definitely stop in if you are in the area. They had the cutest farmhouse decor, candles, Christmas decor, gifts, vintage inspired t-shirts for women and so much more. Absolutely loved everything in this store, especially the Christmas stuff. I didn't make it into the clothing store across the street but it looked cute too. read more

NOT A CUSTOMER SERVICE/FRIENDLY STORE OWNER! I'm new to Prescott and a new friend gave us a house warming present that she said I could exchange. When I went to exchange the gift the first time, I found an item that cost more than the gift I was willing to purchase and it was a Tuesday, and the unique junque store wasn't open, where the item was purchased. They had to text the owner, who didn't respond and they said to come back. When I went back the sales clerk at the unique junque store said they had to text the owner, and, of course, she was not available and the clerks said they would keep trying. I found an item more expensive than the return again but the store owner could not be found and the clerks were not able to make an exchange because it was well over 7 days. The clerks would not accept a larger purchase and would not make the exchange. I told them to keep the junque that was a gift and I would let others know my experience. I will never go back to this store, and would like others to know their sad excuse for not making exchanges after 7 days, when a person is gifted an item from the owner's store. My visiting guests will not be shopping at this store either! BAD POLICY, EXCUSE FROM CLERK THAT IT'S NOT THEIR STORE: Oh, and the excuse is that the owner doesn't respond to the clerk's texts. read more

Stopped in at the warehouse first. Found a shirt that I loved for my momma and was ready to purchase. The gentleman was very nice, he has given me ideas of good places to grab brunch while the computer was rebooting. Since it was taking longer than expected he had me take you he shirt across the street to the other shop. When I got in the mood was different. The girls were not as friendly and I was literally followed by both the blonde and dark haired red young girls as I was shopping. Note: there were several other people in the store but I was the only one being watched. Even after I literally walked across the street from one store to the other... The other shoppers did have much less melanin than I but i would have hoped they wouldn't be that ignorant. read more

Two days before Christmas I bought a Brighton hair tie for my daughter as a Christmas gift. The sales girl tried on several different styles so I could choose my favorite. I pointed to the one I wanted and she took it to the register, wrapped it and bagged it while I paid for it. I left it in the bag and put it under the tree. On Christmas my daughter noticed that the elastic band on the hair tie was damaged in one spot. I returned it to the store only to be accused of damaging the tie myself and Sara (manager or owner) said there was nothing that she was willing to do for me. This Christmas I decided to buy all my gifts locally. Well, Sara, you cured me of that. I will buy online or directly from the company from now on. And I see from Evan D. that I am not the only one dissatisfied with your despicable "customer service". read more

Over the past year, Fancy That has really expanded their inventory and has added an extension store/annex across the street. I've always like the MB shoes, jewelry, sweaters and candles at the main store. They have added so many new products that when you enter the store, you need to stop and look up, around, and down not to miss anything. That makes it a fav for me! Across the street you will find many retro home accessories, more clothing and sale items. The owner (Sarah?) is very helpful and personable-been in this business for many years. Fancy That is a great store and has so many items that are perfect for gifts. I love the staff. They're friendly and very helpful. It's totally impossible to go in there without buying something. I went in looking for a certain look for a wedding I was attending. They were super helpful and tried very hard to find me what I was envisioning. I didn't find what I was looking for but I will definitely be back. They have a great selection and I wish I had had more time to check everything out. read more

My mom and I genuinely enjoyed this boutique and visited quite frequently. Each time spending at least $100. Well, they just lost 2 customers because my mom told me how she had been treated by the owner recently, after going there to purchase a going-away gift for one of her colleagues and I was shocked. She spent about $100 total on the gift. One of the items was a $20 charm bracelet with an AZ charm on it. The sales girl proceeded to bag up the items; then my mom left and went about her work day. Just before the party started, she thought to take out the items in order to remove the price tags, but the bracelet wasn't in there with the rest of the gifts. She figured the bracelet, being so small, never made it in to the bag and she could just run back to Fancy That and be a little late for the party. By this time, the sales girl was no longer on shift and the owner was at the counter. My mom showed her the receipt and explained what had happened, but to her shock the lady responded, "Well, are you sure you didn't just lose it in your car?" My mom was a little taken aback at the accusation, but calmly said that the bag hadn't left her passenger seat all day and the only time she opened it was just now to take the tags off. The bracelet wasn't among the items in the bag. The owner then went on to say she could have someone help look for it in the front seat of her car. My mom said that wouldn't be necessary and was a little confused as to why the owner wouldn't just offer to check with the sales girl who worked that morning, or if she was really skeptical, maybe just taken down her number to call her if the bracelet had turned up. She had every opportunity to handle this professionally and instead, she made my mom feel like she was trying to score a free bracelet. Since this shop is in a small town, I naturally got to talking about the incident with my friends and none were surprised. They all remarked that the owner has a reputation for being rude to customers and treating her staff poorly. As the GM of 4 retail businesses in Phoenix, it truly disappoints me when an owner decides to run their own business this way. Your customers are your biggest asset. Had she just replaced a $20 bracelet, she would've kept a loyal customer for life. Had she even bothered to take a number and followed up with my mom, she wouldn't have lost a customer. But now, she's lost two, as we have no plans of ever spending another dime to support Fancy That. read more

This place used to be my favorite store when I came into town to visit my daughter..no more trips here. Today was the second time the owner refused to give me the price of an item that was written on the tag. Their scam is you bring the item to the counter and they say that is not the correct price posted on the tag. They then increase the price of the item at the register... I complain and they say we have to call the owner..and the owner tells the staff the tag is wrong and you pay more. Really? You've lost my business-- very unethical.. and they are always overpriced to begin with. Please shop somewhere else. They will rip you off!! read more

Some cute items (jewelry, clothing, knick knacks) for very specific tastes. You either like this style, or you don't. Three stars because I like some of their stuff. However, this review goes beyond their inventory, and here it is: ZERO STARS for being followed and bothered incessantly by their young employees. (Do you think we are going to steal? It sure feels that way!) The employees hounded us anytime we approached an item, and my God, if we picked something up to look at it, they hovered even more. My adult daughter chose a t-shirt and she's not an idiot, so she knows her size. She was followed as she browsed, and after 15 minutes the young girl employee asked, are you going to try it on? Is that a requirement? Are you waiting for my daughter to stuff it in her purse? The final insult..... signs all over the store saying 20% off two items, 30% off three or more. The vulture employee told us all about the "store wide sale" when we walked in, and others repeated it more than once as we shopped. Remember..... we were being followed. So I go to pay for five items and then here it comes: "that's not included, that's not included, it's only items ending in this code on the tag, see? new items aren't included, it's here in the fine print." These "girls" followed us for 20 minutes, bothered us, made us feel uncomfortable, and NEVER ONCE mentioned that there's a catch to the sale that they'd now told us about at least three times. Who the hell reads the last four numbers on a price tag as they shop to see if it "counts"? Who does that????? She also said they had just been "too busy" to actually mark the tags on the sale items. Really? Because you all seem to have nothing but free time the way you are stalking us. And then she asked, "do you still want it?" Yes, pesky sales clerk. I do still want it. You misread me. I can afford your "stuff" with or without a discount. I can afford what I chose and more, but really just want to get out of your store, so now I'm stopping at five things. I can also decide on sizes without being pestered. You really turned us off with your VERY SHADY SALE, and mostly by following us throughout the store as if we were potential thieves, versus valued customers. Owners, rethink your approach to selling. It is a huge turnoff. read more

Not impressed... At all. I usually wear an extra large in dresses and things. I am very big busted, so I often have a hard time finding dresses. I was visiting a friend in Prescott and came across an open air store front across the street from this place. Saw things in sizes all the way up to 3X and spoke to a nice redheaded woman who told us that the actual store was across the street. Picked up some shirts and a shawl to try on. Once in the store, I find a very cute (but overpriced) dress in size Large. The top was made from a cotton t-shirt material. I was stoked because it definitely looked like it would fit my bust. Before I could try it on, though, some grey haired woman came over, took the dress from me (I assumed to set up a dressing room), but instead told me how small the dresses run, and not in the kindest way possible. I just said, "Okaaaaaaay." She then proceeded to say, "It's not going to work if an extra small woman can't wear it." She took the dress, but put the shirts in a fitting room. The thing that probably made me the most angry was that this woman didn't trust her customers judgement, and rather than let me (as an intelligent, adult woman) decide in the fitting room if the dress would work or not, she took it and didn't even give me the opportunity to try it on (or not try it in, if it seemed too small in the fitting room). It could have been a gift for all she knew. I felt pretty self conscious, so when they asked, as I'm walking out, if I wanted to try on the two $38 t-shirts, I said "Nope." There's $80 and two customers lost. My friend was blown away by what she said, as well. Maybe the owner's should reconsider their hiring of the grey-haired woman. If she's an owner, I feel bad for the next girl who walks in this place who isn't a size XS or 00. I left feeling pretty bad about myself. read more

Two stars, because their inventory is lovely. I was excited to find a place to shop for clothing in terms of items available that are lovely and comfy and stylish, although a little overpriced. I was happy to find a great sale happening, and picked some great things. Unfortunately they have a very bad method of having a sale which ruins the experience. They have a few signs here and there stating items on this rack are this much off. Some 25% some 50%. buy more get a better discount. It seemed like the girl was just deciding on the spot what costs each item was on sale for when I asked, because it was very unclear by their signs. They have two stores across from each other and I picked a few items in one store and then they tell me I can't buy them here and have to walk across the street (very inconvenient and it's a fairly busy street and no crosswalk in front of the store) I felt that was very unprofessional the whole walk over to the other store I was grumbling, and then once I arrive the girl in the first store had marked every item I had chosen as different prices than advertized in the store across the street. It felt like a scam. After I left I had the idea that they send you across the street so you will be inclined to buy some Non sale item once you get there, which felt like another scam. Bad. Not going back. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

When I first visited the place, I thought the clothing and furniture items were cute, and have purchased several items here in the past. However, that changed real fast. My mother was ripped off, TWICE. She only visits Prescott about once a year. The tags on the clothing items that she was trying to buy were false. Little did she know they would upscale the prices at the counter even though the tags clearly listed the price. The employees are rude and condescending, and watch you like a hawk when you're browsing the store. I actually, matter of fact, applied to work at Fancy That during the summer of 2017. I was "hired" and worked for them for ONE day for about 2 hours. The employee in charge that day was supposed to contact me back regarding a schedule setup for work, but never got back to me, so I never worked there ever again. Terrible place, terrible people, and certainly terrible overpriced items they probably get from Amazon. read more

Love this store! Very beautiful setting and very elegant merchandise. I wanted to buy everything in there. I really did not appreciate a little Blondie girl in there though, she was very rude and had no idea how to take care of business, she also added her 2 cents in when my mother was trying on outfits, very rude comments. She stated she is 21 and running the store. I wonder if the owner knows what kind of immature person she has attempting to take care of things ( didn't even know how to run the cc machine). read more
