POV: Being released from Aiken…read moreHospital with prescriptions Introduction: Visited initially in person to discuss hormonal testing; found pharmacist to be patient and thorough with my questions and her explanation; testing kit was given free of charge Personal Touch: Lacy visited me in the hospital and explained their services in detail; she was warm and inviting and answered all questions and apprehension with changing from a big box pharmacy; it was especially useful that they delivered my new medications right to my hospital bed as I was being released Home Town yet Updated: sometimes when you use a hometown pharmacy, you sacrifice state of the art niceties...not the case here; they deliver your scripts right to your door and they are even updating the interior of their building I love supporting small businesses and this one has really won my heart and appreciation. They even worked with my insurance to cover my meds at the same rate as mail order. I'm sold!! Give them a shot, you're sure to be pleased!

Went to do a COVID test. Been congested and sniffling earlier this week. My usual drive up testing…read morelocation is now closed, so I went here. You have to go to CVS.com and set up an appointment. It'll ask you for your info: health, address, and insurance.. all that good stuff. Once registered, they'll send you a confirmation number for when you arrive. I went a little early to my appointment because there's usually a line at that location. I was wrong this time. I was third in line. I didn't take long for me to get to the window. They asked for my name, bday, and confirmation number. A couple of minutes later, the pharmacist brought back the testing kit and guided me through the testing process. It took about two-three minutes to complete the test. Once you insert your kit into the drop box, wipe the lid with the provided wipe, and you're done!!

Consistently bad customer service. Good luck calling, put you on hold, repeatedly pick up after it…read morerings and put you back on hold or disconnect you. Once again received text that prescription was out of stock, automated service won't tell you when it will be in or available for pickup. So after days of no status update, tried calling. They don't want you to call and hope you don't wait 50 minutes on hold and will just hang up. Walgreens: Focus on being a pharmacy and customers. Pay your staff well, train them, care about them and maybe they'll care about the customers who often can't wait days for out of stock drugs and no one answering the phones.

They have all been terrific until I got to the Walgreens on Whisky Rd in Aiken SC. What a disappointment !! This Walgreens pharmacy, in one word, is horrible!! They seem to be under staffed, no one seems to care about the patient. Many times they have only one tech working both the drive through and the counter. Do not even try to reach the pharmacy by phone or even try to talk to the pharmacist. It will never happen. CVS on Whiskey seems to be better staffed and certainly much more pleasant and helpful. I will be changing all my prescriptions to this CVS.

They often try to not file your insurance properly and get mad when you call them out on it. If my insurance was accepted elsewhere, I would Def take my prescriptions there.
