Patrick was knowledgeable, helpful, very pleasant, and went above and beyond what we expected in many ways! He was able to get us copies of the plans for our system in a matter of minutes, and he clearly presented options for us about how to deal with potential problems in our system. If I need to have any work done they are my first call, no doubt.

Apparently, these systems need emptying every 4 to 6 years. We were lucky our septic hadn't backed up into our home. All of our questions and concerns were kindly answered. The owner, Tim Smith, came to the house and diagnosed the water leak in our bathroom as being…read morecaused by a wax seal needing replacement under the toilet. The technician Tyler Leqve was sent over to remove the toilet and replace the ring although I was surprised since it hadn't been replaced all that long ago. Although this house was build in 1950, we have all original matching fixtures in our bathroom. A little over a month later, water was again noticed on the floor. The technician came over and took photos showing the leak was actually happening between the water tank and the toilet, which had been regularly maintained for it's lifetime with. So one of two things probably happened: 1) the original problem was misdiagnosed and we were charged $214 for the wrong problem, or 2) the problem was correctly diagnosed, and the toilet removal caused damage to the seal between the water tank and toilet. I don't believe in coincidences and doubt that the toilet randomly damaged it's seal without the movement to replace the wax seal. When I asked Tim Smith about the situation, 1) he denied causing the damage, 2) said he would not fix the damage, 3) recommended I buy a new toilet, and then, 4) hung up on me. Not only did he fail to warranty his work, but I suspect that his technician caused this problem. Smith was extremely rude. His incompetence has caused my lovely 79-year old female renter who has 2 knee replacements, 1 hip replacement, and is recovering from a broken leg - to have to deal with sopping up water from the bathroom floor, until we could find another plumber (3 days later). In conclusion, Active Flow deserves a negative -5 stars. Smith shows extremely poor customer service, and either a) failed to fix the initial misdiagnosed issue, or b) caused another one which has cost me more money to repair. I'll be filling a complaint against him with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.

I was quoted for 2 movers for a total of 8 hours for our 10x20 storage unit and 26 foot moving truck. While booking, I asked about their refund policy if we didn't use the entire 8 hours, the person I spoke with shared that they didn't have a specific return policy in place and that she would have to check on how they would go about that, but assured me we would probably take up the entire 8 hours. Our movers arrived promptly on the day of our move and did a wonderful job from start to finish. The move was seamless and quick. So quick, they finished 2 hours earlier that expected. When I asked the movers how I go about getting a refund for the 2 hours we didn't use - they said to call the office and it would be taken care of that day. Needless to say that didn't happen. Everything about this company and our move was professional and seamless and I'd probably use them again - but their refund process needs work. I waited almost 2 weeks for a refund for the hours we didn't use, and needed to follow up multiple times to assure that it was being taken care of. Good company, nice people - but this piece needs work.
