No attorney will take family law if there are less than 90 days before trial, there is simply not enough time for trial prep. UPDATE: First off, my first 2 experiences with Family Law Solutions were great (2016-2019) When my ex-husband filed for an adjustment to child support recently (2022) I was assured by FLS that the best approach was to change to a modification so we could dive into his and his new wife's finances, as well as show that he was underemployed. I was given a quote, however the end amount I owed ended up being almost 2-3x of what I was quoted. When I started to get concerned as the bills greatly surpassed the original quote, it was recommended that I switch the associate lawyer, Isabella. I feel this was a HUGE mistake and regret it to this day. The associate lawyer seemed extremely nervous during the hearing. She forgot to include the form showing that my employer pays for my healthcare in full and that my ex should be paying his portion of our kids monthly medical insurance. Because she forgot that document, the judge decided I needed to pay the full monthly healthcare alone. My last hearing was 8 months ago and I'm still shaken up as I write this post. My total bill ended up being significantly more than I was told to originally expect. (I understand that was an estimate but to have it be 2-3x higher was shocking). I was given $1500 back after the hearing. Now I'm left paying majority of the costs for my children, even though my ex-husband and new wife have a much higher household income. The whole experience was awful. Again, I had some really good years with FLS, but this last one was horrible for me and I'm still paying the price and sadly will for years to come. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Added in response to their comment: Correct that my court case ended in August of this past year. It has taken me a lot of time to process and have the courage to post the above review. Honestly, I didn't want to have to write this, but felt I needed to share my experience. I'm disappointed to hear that you feel she did nothing wrong when she forgot to include the letter from my employer proving that they indeed pay my medical premiums. That mistake cost me substantially. I also see on LinkedIn that she no longer works with the firm. Glad to see she is gone and hopefully no one else will go through what myself and others have. Please do not hire this lawyers, they are no more than money vampires. I submitted a child support modification to the court, worked very hard to get everything right and spent sleepless nights putting all together, two binder with over 500 pages with paystubs, tax returns, invoices, EOB's from insurance companies. Drop all files to the court, submitted working copies, sent over 500 pages to the other party, took time off to drop the binders to the judges room. I explained what the situation was and he pulled in favor of my ex who is taking his 3rd vacation with his partner. I requested my HR department a letter with detailed information of my premiums paid for my kid insurance and he didn't let me take the deduction from the premium, didn't see my file a lot, instead of using my actual income from my full time job, he imputed me income. With this judges/lawyers I understand why low income housing is crowded with single mothers with deadbeat men. Too many years of schooling and their reading understanding is poor. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. GO ELSEWHERE! They have attorney turn over, I have had to get more that one attorney up to speed on my case. Then when one attorney leaves, they will tell you that they no longer can represent you in the middle of a case because they are short staffed. Hopefully in your case you will have more than a month until the next court deadline to find a new attorney. Completely unprofessional. If you want to deal with unnecessary stress and a firm that can't retain their lawyers, then by all means hire them. They will take your money, and leave you high and dry. Wish I could give them negative stars. ADDED IN RESPONSE TO THEIR COMMENT (11/8/2022): How is my review not accurate? The first attorney that was helping me, suddenly stopped responding and your firm contacted me and said I was being reassigned a new attorney because he left. I worked with that new attorney until I unexpectedly received an email from your firm saying "We will send a check for any remaining funds held in trust." No prior notice or explanation whatsoever. I had to reach out to ask what was going on. Then the 2nd attorney told me on the phone that she was leaving and I'd have to find a new firm to work with. I asked if I could be reassigned to someone else at your firm, she said no. I asked if she had a referral for me to another attorney, again no. Completely unprofessional. I have found a new attorney on my own, and it's a night and day difference for the better. They actually seem to care and provide good advice. In an already stressful situation, people don't need any added stress, I encourage others to look elsewhere if they need representation. read more

But there was an unresolved item during from my divorce that we knew would need to be followed up at a later date (a separate court case involved, so at least a year later, possibly longer). This item was open at the time of the final decree and the attorney was aware of this. However, when I recently asked him to follow up on it I was told he would not. The only way he would consider it was to treat the follow-up letter as whole new case, requiring a large retainer just to write the letter.
