We called Southern Heritage to make arrangements. The staff here were available, knowledgeable and compassionate to my mom and I. My mom and I had selected an urn. The staff helped with all of the paperwork with the local and state officials. One thing I found was very kind, was the after care. My mom got a card and a memento this Christmas, citing my dads name, birth day and "first heavenly Christmas". This was very touching and unexpected. While I hate that you're looking at Yelp for these services, rest assured, this family run business will honor your family member in the best way possible. I wish you peace and comfort.

I'm guessing others have had similar experiences but were grieving and had more important things to worry about. I was a friend of the departed and I'm retired so I have time. The building is nice but needs updating and some sheet rock repairs. I feel bad for the family members that were scolded by the staff. Sadly at one of the absolute lowest point in one's life. Josh, the owner wouldn't return my calls after I shared my concerns the first time with him. He has dishonest people working for him and he doesn't care about the mess his company left me with. On a positive note, his receptionist Amy was the only person that listened to me and I basically had to go through her to leave these messages with Josh because he didn't want to take responsibility. I contracted Lighthouse for 4 small projects. -Small drywall repair -Small Baseboard replacement -Fill a small dirt hole w/ cement inside my wall $350 -Paint my child's room $440 The employee responsible for doing the actual work didn't show me where he filled in the dirt hole with cement before closing up the wall. After reviewing my door cameras, I saw that he never even entered my home with cement repair material. I became suspicious that he didn't do the work Lighthouse invoiced me for. The baseboard work doesn't line up. There are gaps where they are supposed to join flush and the baseboards are not level. The paint job as you can see has thick clumps, dried drips and streaks all over. The whole room is like this and pictures don't do justice as in person. I can see through the thin coats of paint to the color that was there before. The only decent work was the drywall replacement but my husband had to cut it back open because they tried billing us $350 for cement was not applied and dirt hole was left untouched. When I was able to talk to Josh before he started to ignore my messages, I told him about the terrible paint job and the hole not being filled he got very defensive. He told me his worker wouldn't lie about the work being done and told me they have a receipt for the cement they purchased. I told him just because you have a receipt for cement being purchased doesn't mean anything. My video footage doesn't lie. He also tried to send the same guy back to me to fix the paint job, but after seeing his work and him lying to me, I expressed I didn't want him back in my home. It would make for a very awkward situation. I requested for another worker to come out, but Josh refused to send anyone else. Josh will not take responsibility for the damages on my walls. He will not address the issues. I had beg to get a call back which he never did. I told the receptionist to just let me get on with my life and request a refund of my deposits. They did that. It's sad because my homeowners insurance was willing to pay them however much for the work. I honestly think I only reason I got my money back is because I told them USAA take these matters seriously. Because it's hard to find handymen in the area at the moment, now I'm left with doing all this work on my own. It's going to take a long time for me to sand the textures and drips off the wall, fix the baseboard, drywall, etc. So my advice to anyone reading this, the photos speak for itself. My opinion is that Lighthouse is not a company to trust as I've been lied to and almost taken advantage of. I wouldn't trust them with any of the offerings they have on their website.

They have three great machine brands to choose from: Bernina, Baby Loc, and Juki. You could not go wrong with any of these brands and when bought there you have free classes on your machine and Owner's Club once a month for instruction and fun. The service at Darrells is also great. James, Pat, and Alex are most helpful and knowledgeable about the machines and Beverly loves fabric and will help you with anything you are interested in while shopping. They have helped me many times with machine problems and they give me fast service. I suggest if you are looking for a machine to please go to a shop where you have support and service. That comes from someone who has not bought from a local shop like Darrells and when I had a problem the fabric store had no idea of what to do.
