They have a lot of baby items here, which was a bit surprising. They have other decorative tchotkies; when I was in it was late September, so there were Halloween themed goodies to be had, as well as some Thanksgiving decor. They had a Halloween tree... like a ceramic Christmas tree that you sometimes see with the little pieces that fit into the boughs of the ceramic tree but in orange and purple. When did we start having Halloween trees? I also saw some jewelry and other gifts. It's not the shop I would go to Crystal Lake for, but I have been curious about this shop the last couple times I have been in Crystal Lake so I'm glad I stopped in this time.

I stopped here with a friend on a whim on a Tuesday. The signs outside said everything was $2, but…read morewhen we got inside, we were so excited to find out it was 25 cents instead! I'm not sure if that was a one day ordeal or if that's the new regular price on Tuesdays. Everything's thrown into large wooden bins, so I recommend wearing some gloves, just because some items may be broken and the bins in general get dirty fast. Likewise, if you don't tolerate dust well, this is not the shop for you. Most of the stock during our visit was holiday stock from department stores (mainly Walmart) that never sold. We were able to find some good finds though! This shop is definitely worth the visit if you're around the area and have some time to kill to dig.

Don't ask a simple question or you will get eye rolls and smirks. When she fills the bins for their friday sales she puts shopping carts around the new merch. Well if you have never been here before and you dont know her rules she will take your head off if you move her blockades. We have witnessed her being rude to elderly as well. She also smokes right in the outside doorway so if you are sensitive to the smell hold your breath and run inside. The gentleman who generally run the cash register are quite friendly. Not sure why they keep her around.

I found useful items like silicon mat, trivets, craft supplies, pillows, and miscellaneous items. There's a giant "Do Not Open" sign hanging, but there's a box opening station with knives towards the front of the store where you can open the boxes. Many if not all the items are from Amazon, so you can read the description on the stickers to look up details on Amazon website or app. This was helpful to know more about the item, especially if the box is not opened. None of the items I purchased were damaged or missing pieces. If you come on the last day (Wed. $1), expect to see a crowd of people combing through the bins. You can still find great bargains on the last day, albeit you'll find better items in the beginning of the sale cycle (Fri-Sun). They charge a small credit card fee and you can save a little more if you pay with cash. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

If you've ever watched A&E's Hoarders that is what this place is... it is a dumpster of of closed unknown merchandise, you have to get a worker to see what's in every box, that's a task in itself. On top of that the bigger furniture pieces like consoles, lawnmowers, lawn furniture... the owner is charging more than it would be at a Marshall's or TJ Maxx... $300 for a lawnmower, $350 for a console (just check out FB Marketplace). Why they aren't opening the boxes as they come in and categorizing which table they'd belong is beyond my understanding. I also don't understand why there isn't prices on the furniture, seems as if they are haggling, giving different prices to different ppl. Needless to say I won't be back.
