Last time I went it looked like they were going to expand the store which would be amazing! Some fun stuff I've bought from them: -blind bags -weight blanket ($10, but still a good deal) -picnic blanket that folds -small kiddie pool -sun block -incense -LED lights for the back of my TV (probably my favorite purchase) And so much more!

When you come into this bright discount store it looks welcoming with fun upbeat pop music playing…read more But I don't know what it is with so many discount stores, the floors were dirty. As I walked around the store it was a bit messy. I do imagine it's hard to keep a store neat when there are unsupervised children pulling things off the shelves! The cosmetic area had very little stock. They had snacks, but not any grocery items beyond chips & sweets. There was a small area of work out equipment which was a nice surprise. 5 lb dumbbells for $5 each. A $5 book section. The stock was a little different from other stores like this. Many items $5 and under. If you are a discount shopper check out the new kid on the block "five BELoW, you might find what you're looking for at a discount price.

Always prefer to go to this Costco over Rosedale: parking lot seems less chaotic and less crowded…read more The self checkout does really improve the shop-ability of Costco, if only one day they had the Sam's Club/WalMart app checkout. My favorite thing while shopping is hunting for the 0.00/0.97 deals and getting a 'steal'. Will keep coming here for my bulk shopping.

I recommend Costco for most everything in the store I do wish they would have a self checkout sort…read moreof like Sam Club does but they usually keep the the lines moving fast enough that it's not too painful the only problem that I have with the checkout lines is when you're going to the self checkout they no longer have wands and you have to pick every item out of the card and put it on the conveyor belt yourself so you can scan it. N o problem unless dealing with a 20 to 30 lb bag of rice and beans that is a little over the top but when I have those items I choose to go through the lines where the workers will remove those items, They also have the best Meats in the business if you don't believe try them for yourself go for the prime select Meats,as the choice is good but the marbling on the prime steaks and ribeye are Bar None to many meat market I have ever been to. Costco also has the snack bar which is outside the store and the only downfall with that is they have six to eight machines outside and only two to three work which is not a problem during most of the day but around noon and around 5:00 p.m. they're super crowded and you're dealing with a lot of people who act like they've never been to Costco and can't pick what they want so it takes a lot longer to get to one of those machines. The upside is when you do get to the counter the step is really quick and friendly and make sure your order is complete before they send you on your way with a smile.

I came here and fixed my rig for 2% off Thanks 98 cents plus!" J: "I wanted to hold a "birthday party" for myself and didn't want to pay $1 for the supplies. I came here for the supplies and I saved TWO CENTS. Please expand so others can get thrifty!!!!" Ma: "I had to have a expensive bag of gummy worms after craving it for two years. So after price comparison across Bakersfield, I had my friend take me to 98 cents plus so I can satisfy my craving. I savored every last morsel of the 2.5 ounce gummy worms. Every penny counts and 98 cents plus has me 2 cents richer compared to the ripoff tipoff dollar stores placed around town."
