Some stores just need to be managed better and left alone. Many of us prefer going to stores such as this one where we can still interact with cashiers, butchers, courtesy clerks and produce people. Not everything has to be a self check out. This location has always offered a good variety of items, always kept clean, good value and the people working have always provided excellent customer service.

The prices here at Savemart were outrageously high to some of the markets I had just been to while looking for this chili block. Employees were friendly. Everything was nice except the prices. I'll still shop at Savemart, but I'm sure gonna be aware of their prices.

I keep reading about how brown sauce is a staple on every table in the UK. HP Sauce is the main brand. I stopped in on afternoon Saturday the 7th. First impression was similar to the Asia market on White Lane, maybe less cluttered, more like a small supermarket. Walking the isles I didn't see it. To make sure I asked a stock clerk. He was friendly, hadn't heard of HP Sauce but walked me to where it might be. No luck. I didn't want to leave empty handed so brought an apple soda in a clear plastic can shaped like an aluminum can up to the register. I guess they took those earlier negative reviews to heart. The cashier, a man in his 40s or 50s, was so friendly. Joking with me in a dad joke way then gifting me a little morsel on my way out. I'm sure no one else gets treats, I was wearing my cervical collar, pretty sad looking. They have a lot of different foods there. Great produce. Just don't count on finding much British food.

They have a small but excellent meat department. I noticed that they have very reasonable prices and the lamb is especially affordable compared to other markets. They have a vast array of what are exotic groceries compared to other markets. I love to just peruse the isles when I'm there. I wish they had cooking classes. It would be interesting to learn how to use ingredients I'm not familiar with. I highly suggest a visit. You won't be disappointed.

But, a Walmart employee in front of me. He got the last Mac & cheese. I told both of them when I was there earlier there was no one. The employee who bought the Mac and cheese said it is what it is. Both of them looked so sad seems hate to work there. It is so toxic. Very bad attitude & work ethic. The manager needs to really take serious attention about the issues. Pounds is a convenience store/Shell gas station that always seems busy because of two reasons…read more First of all, it has a great location & not much competition in the immediate area. Secondly, it sits on an okay size lot, but doesn't have more than six pumps for gas which leaves limited space for parking. Due to being near oilfields, a good amount of service trucks frequent this store, so the parking situation can be tricky at times. Other than that, no major complaints with the establishment. Great selection of liquor/beer/soda for a quick grab on the way home, and of course a few select staple-type grocery items are available. They have more to offer in the way of groceries than a standard 7-11, which is nice if you need to pick up a loaf of bread or something for lunch. They actually used to have a Smith's bakery counter within about 9-10 years ago, and I miss it from time to time. I believe they still have a meat counter inside, but they have done some remodeling in the last year or so. I tend to pay at the pump, so don't quote me on that counter. They have had the same owners for many years, and they are a nice family...
