I'll admit, I like to save money where I can. Who doesn't? So when I saw a billboard for Homebuys,…read moreI'll admit I was curious. Yeah, there are a plethora of discount stores out there, so it takes a lot to stand out among them. Well, one stop by Homebuys told my lady and I all we needed to know. This place has SO much stuff at GREAT prices. We went somewhat on a whim one night after I'd casually mentioned it to my lady... And we left with a couple bags worth of excellent deals. The place itself is pretty big and they have a big variety of goods to offer. From food, to furniture, to clothing, to home decor, to wine and beer, to party favors, to toys... So much to see! The staff are really nice too. I think my lady and I were almost overwhelmed by it all! So far, we've gone back at least twice within two weeks for more deals. This isn't your average discount shop, it's BETTER, and much better maintained than Ollie's or Dollar General plus much more variety. Plus they actually have good craft beer and wine (Big selling point for ME there!). I'm pretty sure my lady and I will become regulars here for all the great deals!

I can't reach them on the phone to call about the issue because the number is disconnected. I'm hesitant to take it back because this place is so trashy, I imagine they would accuse me of stealing it! This place is ghetto, no AC, and they sell expired food and cosmetics. If you're really desperate to save some money I guess this is a good option, but good luck not getting burned on bad quality products.

I also treasure a roll of cheesy wrapping paper, which I took home for free.

It's strange how run down it appears to be after only being open a short period of time. Stuff was kind of in disarray throughout the store. Items just thrown on shelves. Empty shelves here and there throughout. Granted, it was pretty busy on the Saturday afternoon that we went, but this didn't look like it was just messed up that day by the crowd. It looked like that's just the way the store was. We didn't end up purchasing anything because I couldn't focus on looking for anything because the un-organization of this place was killing my OCD. Plus even if we had found anything it wouldn't had been worth standing in the line for purchase that extended throughout half the store. I think we originally went in there looking for fall/Thanksgiving decorations. I can't even remember at this point. I can't imagine ever feeling the need to come back here..but you never know. The extra star on this one star sounding review is just because, you know, they didn't do anything to me personally..the place was just a mess.
