I'm the biggest proponent of shop small, shop local and while this store is about an hour from me, it's only 8 minutes from my boyfriend's house so I can shop here and take it home when I head back there. Sam Clawson at the Lawrence Jeweler in Fort Gratiot, MI, worked for over a week trying to convice me that my rings were worthless and my smaller diamonds were nothing but chips, my larger diamond was not the quality I thought I had. He assured me I would be wasting money to repair something of it's quality that was so badly damaged. My ring was from Mosher's Jeweler and had been serviced by them for 30 years. I had appraisal certifications to prove the quality and value of all my rings. At the end of our "relationship", Sam was all set to sell me a new wedding set for over $12,000. When I asked for certain information in writing, the whole attitude changed. This jewelry store is not operated as a quality and trustworthy jewelry store. From the first time inside, we felt we were being hustled but wanted to see if we were correct. After their "scam" went south, we left and went to Coughlin Jewelers in St. Clair. They appraised all my jewelry in accordance with my previous appraisal certifications. Not only did they repair my wedding set, they replaced two of my diamonds with larger stones, replaced the one lost emerald, took the two smaller diamonds that had been replaced and made earring charms for me. All for $2,500. I will never darken the doors of Lawrence Jewelers and would advise EVERYONE, before making a purchase, you will be better served and get better quality by going to Coughlin Jewelers in St. Clair, MI.

My fiancé took my grandma's heirloom diamond and put it in a new setting. Dion was so so helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. The finished product was everything I dreamed of! I had to get the diamond brought down slightly and they worked with my jeweler in San Francisco (where we live) to get it fixed and took care of everything! A month later we went back to buy my fiancé Alec's wedding band and they were once again extremely helpful and all around happy and friendly people to do business with. I highly recommend them!!

They certainly seem to operate with the fly-by-night business model. Their Livonia warehouse looks like a total dive. My wife and I ordered furniture back in March of 2013, and and as of October 2013 we have not received the completed set. They stopped returning calls and e-mails. I had to actually drive to the store only to be given the run-around again. We'll be taking legal action shortly. I ordered a couch from Jugo on April 7, 2013. I spoke with Georg, the owner, the next day and he confirmed the item was in stock and that it would ship within 10 days. Over the course of the next several weeks I was given several expected arrival dates by Georg but the couch never showed up. After a long and frustrating experience trying to track it down, I finally moved to cancel my order on May 8. I was told I would receive a refund within 2 business days. 1 week later, I still had not received a refund. I was told by Georg that it was just processed and would be available within 2 more business days. It is now May 23 and I have still not received a reimbursement nor have I received any further communication from Georg. Working with Jugo has been one of the worst consumer experiences of my life. I ended up having to file a complaint with the BBB in order to get refunded. I have email documentation of this entire terrible experience. It is unfortunate that people like Jugo take advantage of consumers. They owe my over $2K.

With life happening and my work hours being very similar to their pick-up hours, I figured I would see if it was possible to pay to have it shipped to me. I emailed them YESTERDAY and received a very prompt response that, yes it was possible and they would send it right out. I was provided my tracking number and TODAY, a little over 24 hours later, my jacket was delivered. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!!
