This is the only market in Trinity County where I appreciate what I get for my dollar. They carry a great, well-rounded selection of product, at prices that are competitive in surrounding cities. (Cheaper than Co-op Humboldt, but doesn't have Reddings mega-chain presence of Trader Joe's). Being a farm-centered community, it is super great to have a spot that I can pick up local organic fare year round. Whoever does the ordering/purchasing has the touch, because in dozens of trips, I've never gotten a spoiled berry, melon, or squash. They opened up a deli counter! Just experienced this! Now to-go food while on the road that incorporates my normal diet... Woooo! Make this a stop folks. You'll be glad you did.

The wife/owner was a lovely woman served our tasting. The tasting room was a combination of vintage, wine and craft gift shop with a wonderful tasting bar to sample the wines. We tried the Chardonnay, Rose', Merlot, and Harvest Rogue. The tasting is $5 a person and is waived with purchase. Each wine was wonderful and we bought one bottle of each! Their wines were reasonably priced around $20. Also, we called the day before to see if they were open. There was no answer and 20 minutes later we received a call back, from Ernie asking what they could do for us! Also my son made friends with their sweet doggie!

Wine maker Ernie knows what he is doing, and the delightfully affable wine pourer Crystal provides the finishing touch for an enjoyable wine tasting experience. The grounds surrounding the tasting room are green and colorful and very well kept. They're a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a picnic with a bottle of wine. The Pinot Gris and Cab Sauv weren't ready on the day we tasted, so we'll be coming back soon! Tasting fee is $5, which is waived with a purchase of two very reasonably priced wines.

We were staying in Garberville and wanted to taste some Humbolt County wines. We call Briceland Vineyards to see if we could taste that same day. Andrew the winemaker was working on a project but was kind enough to accomodate us at 4pm (just 2 hours after our call). We arrived a bit late and he was there to greet us with a smile. He invited us to taste on is patio in front of the winery. He brought out two cases so we could try a variety of wines to include: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, PET Nat Sparkling, Rose of Pinot, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a bonus wine of Arneis. Its rare that you sit down with a winemaker for over and hour and learn about winemaking. He really educated our group. His wife brought out a beautiful charcuterie board with cheeses, meats, nuts and fruit. I am a wine member at many wineries in other California regions and have never experienced such GOOD winetasting. On top of that every wine we tasted we liked which is also very rare. The Sauvignon Blanc was light and grassy. The two Chardonnays were unlike the heavy oak and butter types that are too big. His red wines were smooth and not too high in alcohol. We left with several cases of wine. I will definitely visit Andrew again when we visit Humboldt County. I highly recommend a visit to Briceland Winery in the heart of Redwood Country.

Miles went the extra distance and even picked us up from our AirBnB and drove us to his wonderful winery. The views are absolutely wonderful, even with some rain we still had a great time. Miles treated us like personal friends while he taught us all about winemaking and his journey. His wife made us a tasty charcuterie board as well. If you like delicious natural wines I highly recommend visiting Miles. I've never had a wine tasting that felt so personal and to be able to hang out with the original winemaker is quite awesome too. We left with multiple cases, this stuff is so delicious! Next time we're in the area we'll be sure to visit again. Thank you for such a memorable birthday!

The croutons were a little stale and the lettuce was most likely from a bag. It wasn't bad - the dressing was good and I like black olives which added flavor. The Ribs. I don't think I have ever ordered beef ribs because no one ever can make them tender and most of the time they are overcooked. Not so here. The ribs were very good and had good bbq sauce. The bbq sauce it came with was probably store bought but it was still good. Really enjoyed. One suggestion is to season the ribs a little more. They were tender, but a little more salt would have kicked it up a notch. All in all - great experience and food.
