It fell off and it wasn't the first time so I explained this might not last but I wanted to have it done by him to see if it was something my prior dentist was doing wrong or if it was just my tooth. He agreed to do it for $75 after I explained all that. I was relieved and very happy to have it done. I paid the $75 before leaving, the bonding lasted 3 days, and a couple months later I got a bill in the mail for over $400. For a bonding I knew might not even last, really???? I never would have agreed to this! I've explained everything after calling but no one cares the lady just keeps saying well sorry your insurance didnt cover it. Yes lady, me and Dr. Hamod both knew that very well may be the case. I was expecting him to say oh yes, I remember that conversation and fix this, but nope, all I got was sorry this needs to be paid. He has a nice practice in convenient Bel Air, just off of Route 24 near Bertucci's. I chose to go from Baltimore to Bel Air when I needed a new crown for an old rear molar. Dr. Dan expertly performed the mold, the temporary, and the permanent. His lab was timely, his instrumentation and use of technology were great. Even in the middle of a pandemic, he was able to accommodate my emergency visit. His office was clean and his staff, Amanda and Christine (at front desk), were kind, courteous, and professional. She had several cavities that needed to be filled or watched etc. Dr. Castro suggested she'd come to the latest appt which was 7:00 pm. He had her so calm by the time the work started, I couldn't believe it. I have come to this practice for many years and have always been happy but today they really nailed it. We had an hour-long discussion about guitars and his love for music. He does great work and is extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Castro is also great with minimizing pain and offers affordable services! Rosie is amazing at processing insurance claims. On a few occasions, I was reimbursed several hundred dollars from my insurance--thanks to her! He makes sure you are satisfied with your teeth and if for some reason you're not, he will work with you until you are. When Dr. Weber is away, I have seen Dr. Scribner, also in his office, and I like her very much also. All the ladies in the front are warm and friendly. Not to mention, Box Hill Family Dentistry generally charges less than a lot of other dentists, which is great if you don't have dental insurance!
