If you need Falls Tree to cut down some trees, they're solid. We used them for years in our backyard. However.... If you are considering using them for tree cables --- I would look elsewhere. Here's why: December 2022: Cable breaks on large oak tree and is replaced by Mr. Falls Crew. March 2025: The same large oak tree was pruned to prevent the cables from breaking.  August 2025: The same cable breaks again. Foreman at Mr. Falls replaces it and apologized to us because he said the Falls crew that installed the cable in 12/2022 did it wrong, and that's why it broke.  February 2026: The same cable breaks again... for the third time in a span of less than 3.5 years.  Bear in mind that tree cables are supposed to last 20+ years. It's now June 2026 and we're still waiting for a Falls Tree crew to come out and fix it (after saying they would on at least three different occasions over the phone). If you're looking for tree cabling, you want a communicative company who can stand behind their work. After waiting 3+ months, it appears they do not. read more

i was very pleased with the trimming of tree. as for damages to my property the company is terrible. they promised to fix it but never did. i have called several times and got no return reply. in my book they are liars and dishonest. i would not recommend this company. i should not have to go behind grown men and fix this issue. how do you sleep at night? read more

Most reasonably priced tree trimming service in the area. Estimator was really friendly and answered all questions, did the estimation over the phone while I was at work. He told us stuff to look out for so the tree would not be damaged. Everyone on the phones was nice. Rob's crew that did the job was really friendly. Rob showed us exactly what he'd do and gave time to ask questions. The crew did a good job with the work. Rob checked with me before the job was complete to make sure I was happy and also checked with the neighbors to make sure they didn't want more cut over their property. He also pointed out some other trees that might have problems and cleaned some leaves off of our roof that were not due to their trimming but they did the extra service because maybe there were some twigs up there from the cut. Would definitely work with Mr Falls Tree Expert again. read more

This was my 3rd or 4th time using Falls Tree Service. I have always been happy with the crew who removes the trees and they are reasonably priced. Payment is expected when the trees are removed and usually within 1-2 days the tree branches and trees are picked up. If you pay for stump grinding generally they arrive within several days. First off trying to get a return call was a problem. You often get a recording and no return call. I had an oak that was diseased and needed to be removed in the winter. I was promised a return call the next week, that never happened. Two months later the tree was finally removed, and after one week, no one had shown up to grind the stump which I paid for when the tree was removed. Finally after calling, someone came out to grind the stump, but the young man never communicated with me before leaving. So there was a stump that looked like it had not been ground completely. Granted I never went out to check. It took 4 calls to get someone out to check, only to be told the grinding had been completed, but somewhere in the process they forgot to pick up the stump. Here I am 4 weeks later and numerous calls and I still have a stump which I paid to have removed. I get excuses after excuses: secretary was fired, they are short staffed, man called off sick and that was why they didn't pick the stump up on the day promised. The communication stinks. They don't know how to pick up messages and return calls, they don't know how to communicate when they can't show up as promised. Payment is expected when trees are removed, but beware. If you are having stumps ground, do not pay for that service until done. The "boss", Joe, is very condescending, sarcastic, acts like you are a nuisance and has zero customer skills. I understand how unreliable workers are these days, but it is important for businesses to COMMUNICATE with customers. I never made Falls Tree Service wait to be paid. I know it is a hard job, so I even paid for their lunch. But this time Falls Tree Service has left a bad taste in my mouth regarding dependability and customer service. They are not the same business they used to be. My recommendation is hire someone else. I doubt I will ever see anyone pick up this stump, that I paid to have ground and REMOVED. This company has been nothing but a headache. I doubt I will ever use them again, because of the attitude, communication, and lack of trust. read more

Their quotation and timeline was well suited to my needs, and their crew was clearly highly experienced in doing a perfect job with the several pieces of equipment they brought and used, and did it all without any damage to our property. They invoiced us for work they did not do. They damaged the side of the house and did not repair or deduct for the damage. They increased the second invoice from the first invoice by $2000. They are shady in their business practices read more

My car was damaged due to tree work being done by Mr Falls Tree on November 6, 2023 in Akron, Ohio. It has now been 30 days since our last correspondence without any reply or resolution, despite my efforts to follow up on December 19 and December 29. My wife and baby was headed through our neighborhood and a large tree limb fell on her car. When she got out of the car to investigate, it was determined that the limb was being cut down by Mr. Falls Tree Service. Speaking with several workers on the job site, they all accepted fault for the accident. There workers' lack of safety measures is evident in the photos I took soon after the accident, further substantiated in the official police report. This is undeniable proof that they are entirely at fault for this incident. It shows no cones, signs, or a worker guiding traffic to avoid the falling area. Because of their negligence, I have had to spend hours of my personal time (including using vacation time) to get the three repair estimates that they asked for. You stated you would pay for the repairs once I go the three estimates. After submitting the three requested estimates, they responded that they wanted me to take the vehicle to a shop 45 minutes away from my home to have an additional estimate done there by someone the owner knows. It is both unreasonable and burdensome to ask for me to go to another repair shop of there choice, especially one of great distance from my home that would require I take even more time off of work. I aim to restore my vehicle to its pre-accident state without bearing unnecessary burdens or costs. I have not included in the cost time off work and gas to and from the three repair shops. There has also been a considerable amount of time spent corresponding with their company and my insurance agent. There is extensive damage to the vehicle. Some of the items include (not extensive list): * Three large dents in the roof requiring headliner to be removed to fix.  * Scratches requiring paint on approximately 70% of the body.  * Damage to the passenger side mirror requiring complete replacement.  * Damage to passenger side tail lights.  * Damage to roof and door molding needing complete replacement. read more

They did a good job cutting the trees but split the job in multiple small jobs on different days, so we thought they would come back again to pick up the scraps but the last guy just left a big pile of mess for us to clean up. I have pictures showing the exact tree they cut and were supposed to take but they said it wasnt left by them and wanted me to pay again to clean it up, the picture literally shows the before and after of that tree. WTF? Now i have a huge pile of tree left to clean. read more

I called this company after the recent storm. They dragged me along for more than a week promising to come out and take care of a fallen branch. When they did show up they couldn't even provide a reasonable quote. Will never call them again. Glad there are several other local options available. read more

As we approach winter, my wife and I decided to take down two large pine trees in a rock garden in our front yard, a large maple in the back yard, and to trim a sentimental crabapple tree growing in an area by our deck. The Austrian pines were planted a number of years ago and had grown nicely to a height of 20 - 25 feet. Unfortunately, due to a number of issues, one pine had recently died and the other was on its way out. When Eric Eckard (company owner) came out to assess the situation and develop quote, he explained how they would take the trees down, grind out the stumps, chip the trees, and take away the waste. Well, to my very pleasant surprise, not only were the trees taken down and chipped as promised, but you could not tell in any manner that there had ever been any trees there. The crew completed their work and reraked the mulch - a great job. Regarding the maple tree in the back yard, it was alive but you could clearly see that it had become diseased with root structures becoming suspect. Some pretty good winter winds would ultimately send this very tall tree into our house. Eric explained the issues and pro's & con's. The company took the tree down without impacting any other of the trees in the backyard. We value having a treed backyard and The Falls Group took care of everything to completely as promised and desired. The easy part - and the last thing to be attended to - was the trimming of a crabapple tree that has grown within and by our backyard deck. We planted this years ago when the kids were small - the've now all graduated from university and are out on their own - but we do like this tree. The Falls Group did a very nice job trimming it all up. In summary, the team from The Falls Group completed an excellent job in a timely fashion and at a good price. I would be most happy to recommend them to any other homeowner. And when we do some additional work next spring, we will for sure contact The Falls Group for a professinal job.
