Flash forward to the after photos (I uploaded so you can see for yourself) and it is beautifully restored. Not only is the chip fixed but he refinished everything so it looks better that ever. This works for me but heads up if you are used to a voice on the phone. he has an arrangement with another company so that if he is out of the office you can leave things or pick up things. This is super convenient but struck me as a little odd. I guess I am just a cynical transplant from the north and I worried about security but it seems to be de rigueur here so I guess I just need to chill out and adjust! They did absolutely no meaningful prep work. They also used the wrong color of paint and failed to properly sand rough spots on doors, etc. What's worse is the response from one of their project managers, Kevin Calles-Lopez, when I tried to figure out how to get items fixed. He was defensive, angry, rude, and threatening. I would never to do business with this company again.

The repair was very shoddy, my ceiling has cracked 3 times since in quick succession--the first two times they reluctantly repaired--poorly. Did not cover anything as they did drywall and ceiling work and I was left to clean up a layer of dust/chalkish material over every bit of the downstairs. The flooring was uneven, the drywall has cracked, paint has puckered, even my stove was put back in at a slant. I have spent the last year+ texting and emailing project managers up to the President of the company who have promised repair. They do not respond to any texts, calls or emails any more. The president, Lou Kazman, came to my house to inspect in Decemeber and promised repair--I haven't heard from him since and will not respond. The flooring was sub-par, not at all an equal replacement for what I had and looks 10 years old compared to two. Overall just abysmal work and communication and I am left with damaged ceiling and floors and no one to help. I have contacted my insurance company again as they are the ones who suggested I use CLS in the hopes that they can help since this business does not care.

He spent an hour looking/digging around the area until he finally solved the mystery-- water was coming through a couple tiny holes in the bottom of the exterior door casing. We confirmed it by pouring water on those spots and watched as it dripped inside. Crazy. Very friendly, thorough service and an incredibly reasonable price. Thanks, Jake! I hired Greg to renovate a half bath that had a toilet that leaked, damaging the sub floor and…read morehardwoods in the hall. The first red flag was Greg's cartoonish quote for work. Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

I contacted NHRC and Greg came out the next day for a consultation. He quoted me a price that I thought was very good for the entire bathroom remodel. Greg and his other worker were very efficient and even though we ran into a few issues (old plumbing and uneven walls), Greg was able to troubleshoot the issues and did a fantastic job with this renovation. As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations. I highly recommend NHRC and Greg's remodeling services!
