In my confirmation email, the only instruction was to bring my ID, which I reasonably assumed was for identity verification or account setup. However, when I arrived, the front desk associate (Viviana) asked about the address on my ID and, after I explained that I had just moved, told me I would need to go to a different location based on the address listed. I want to be clear--I completely understand if there is a policy requiring proof of local residency for a free trial. That's not the issue. The issue is that this requirement was not communicated beforehand, and more importantly, the way it was handled in person was extremely unprofessional. Viviana had a noticeably dismissive and unfriendly attitude from the start. When I tried to clarify my situation, she spoke over me and did not make any effort to provide clear or respectful communication. After going back and forth, she eventually offered to check with a manager. I agreed and asked her to do so, and when she returned, she said I could work out for the day--but the delivery still felt cold and unwelcoming. I also requested a tour, which she provided very briefly and with minimal effort. She pointed vaguely at different areas without explanation, and I ultimately had to walk the facility on my own to understand what was available. It's unfortunate because the gym itself is great and the other staff members I encountered were kind and welcoming. I still plan on joining because of the location and amenities, but this experience nearly cost you a new member. As a business owner with over 10 years in customer service, I know how much front desk interactions matter--they set the tone for the entire brand. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because the service I received from Viviana does not reflect the quality of the facility.

On Monday morning, I visited the EOS in Lake Elsinore and had a pretty shady experience with the sales rep there. For context, I've been a member of UFC Gym since 2018, including when they first opened in Rancho Cucamonga, and one of my favorite features is the cryo chamber. When the rep in Lake Elsinore heard that cryo is what attracts me to a gym, he immediately told me they had it. That alone had me reaching for my wallet. I asked whether it was nitrogen-based or a refrigerated unit and told him I wanted to go see it. I was excited. Instead of showing me anything, he insisted we had to stay up front. He said he wasn't allowed to show me the gym floor or any of the equipment he was talking about -- even though that's literally his job -- and they had someone at the front desk who could've covered him. He kept pushing a 30-minute presentation and wanted me to sign before seeing anything. His attitude and pressure felt completely off, so I decided to walk out. Today, while trying to sign up online, I ran into issues and ended up calling the Redlands location, where I got connected with Isaiah. He was honest, helpful, and straightforward. He also clarified that they don't have a cryo chamber -- only a "cryo lounge," which is nowhere near the same thing. If I had trusted that salesman in Lake Elsinore, I would've been locked into a contract based on false information. Isaiah is truly the man, and I'm grateful he took the time to give me the real details. When I get a chance, I'll go check out the gym for myself and see if it's the right fit.

I've been coming to the YMCA consistently since my son was about six months old, he's four now! I…read morefirst joined because my friends told me about the two hours of free childcare included with membership, and as a new mom, that sounded amazing. At the time, our income was low, but the Y offered scholarships, which made it possible for us to join. We received a 50% scholarship, and it truly was a blessing. It gave me time to work out, take classes, and just have a little "me time" while my baby was safe and cared for. Now that my son is in preschool, I have the flexibility to come at any time, and I love that freedom. The childcare hours used to be limited to mornings (around 8 to 12) and a bit in the afternoon (around 3:30), but now I just come whenever I can. I usually do my own workouts since the group class times don't always fit my schedule, but there's such a great variety, swimming, tap, pilates, fusion, and so much more. Another thing I love is the sense of community. I often see friends from church here, and it feels like an extension of that family atmosphere. The staff is generally friendly, though a few could be a bit more personable, but overall, they're helpful and kind. For the value, variety, and community, the YMCA has been such a big part of my life these past few years. I'm so grateful for it, and I can honestly say, I love the Y!
