They take time to get to know the adopters, make sure they are a good fit. As well as, tour your the home and check for safety concerns. Most people don't know what they are getting into with a German Shepherd, so they make sure you understand. Tank ate some drywall at the rescue the night before we took him home. They said if we had any issues let them know. He ended up getting gastritis and was vomiting and had diarrhea. They told us go to urgent care & were there the whole way supporting us. They even took care of the $1300 urgent care bill, knowing he was being a German shepherd puppy and chew stuff. God bless this rescue & all the people that help to make it successful! While we were working on this, Kristie also helped us with some basic command refinements with all 3 of our dogs. One of our dogs needed a little confidence boost, and she taught us how to work with him to strengthen this. Kristie is clear in her instructions to the humans and is patient with answering questions and modeling how to give commands and corrections. She built a positive relationship with our dogs and with us. We have enjoyed the experience and appreciate the changes in our dogs' behavior.

However, no more pets in this household. We have had our share and will let somebody else enjoy the fruits of their animals. I saw staff being interactive with all the puppies, taking them out of their cages and walking them. There was also a sign that these animals are not from puppy mills, but breed from professionals. Work and life have been hectic, so I appreciated being able to take Cash in for an anal gland expression without needing an appointment. Since we were already there, I asked the groomer to opine on if he needed a nail trim as well. She agreed that he did, so we added on the "pawdicure" package, which included a nail trim and grind, and also a trim of his paws. Cash's whole grooming process took about 30 minutes while I wandered around the store. His groomer was Steph, who was actually an apprentice. She did a fantastic job with him and made sure to follow his lead to avoid stressing him out. This was very important to me as Cash has heart disease. When it came time to pick Cash up, it seemed like the whole grooming salon interacted with him in some way and everyone was so sweet to him and gave him all the attention and affection. Of note, we also adored Julie the cashier. She was so friendly when we entered the store and when she checked me out for Cash's grooming fees and for the toy I purchased him. Cash loved her too because she had a generous supply of beef liver treats at the ready--his favorite! This isn't my regular PetSmart, but I think it is now!

i would like to start by saying i am a very patient and calm person who has worked in customer…read moreservice and retail. i come here all the time and never have issues with 99% of the staff bc i'm a normal person. i guarantee the staff knows who i'm about to complain about bc every workplace has *THAT* person. everytime i come here god places this old woman at the register who can never just let me check out my items and walk out in peace. i am a normal freaking person, i rarely return things but recently i got a fish and got a bunch of stuff i didn't need. every other return with EVERY OTHER ASSOCIATE went perfectly fine. the first time i had a return with her, instead of just allowing me to return the brand new items she felt the need to carefully inspect my aquarium heater and act like i damaged it or something. again i am a NORMAL PERSON and returned it in perfect condition a DAY LATER. a 2min return turned into a 15min ordeal as she interrogated me ab this heater. holy fuck just TAKE IT BACK it's not coming out of YOUR PAYCHECK next i go to get a 20g fish tank i saw online for 39.99 w a phone number. sure enough it's in the store for 39.99 so i go to grab it in person. ofc god decides i need to be punished and puts this woman at the register. what should've been a 2 minute interaction took TWENTY MINUTES. she starts gaslighting me that i need to download the app and takes my phone from me and starts redeeming all these things without my consent and asking me questions ab what pets i own so she can redeem more. she tells me this isn't ringing up as 39.99 and i'm trying to explain and show her the online listing. i keep trying to show her the tag in the store and she's refusing. at this point i'm holding up the line and offering for the people behind me to go and she's refusing. eventually she finally looks at the in store tag and changes the price. like are u fucking serious. at this point i'm genuinely about to start going to a new store farther away just to avoid this woman like holy SHIT

NEVER TRUST THIS CLINIC WITH A SICK ANIMAL. On our very first visit on July 28th, I should have…read moreseen the red flags. While waiting, I personally heard the staff at the front desk mocking other pet owners who were calling in to get care for their pets. They acted completely irritated to be helping their own customers. My cat Gracie was seen that day for vomiting and an earache. On 8/3, Dr. Timiney left a voicemail stating Gracie's blood work showed an elevated Amylase level of 2,500 U/L (their normal high is 2,200) and crystals in her urine. In the voicemail, she explicitly stated that Gracie needed a specialized prescription therapeutic diet to address these issues. I spent two days calling back to get the food and prescriptions, but my calls were repeatedly ignored. On 8/4 at 10:00 AM, my husband and I went to the clinic in person desperately trying to buy the prescription food the vet recommended. A staff member named Taylor explicitly refused to give us the prescriptions, refused to sell us the food, and ordered us to leave the premises. She actively blocked a sick animal from receiving its medication. When we left, she sarcastically told us to "have a good day." After Grand Paws kicked us out, we started reading other people's online reviews of this clinic. Realizing through their past history that we were never going to get the help we desperately needed from them, we knew we had to get Gracie quickly to another qualified veterinarian. Hours later at 4:37 PM, Dr. Timiney left another voicemail admitting she knew we had been trying to call back and stating she heard Gracie was now declining and might need urgent x-rays. This proves the clinic knew my cat was getting worse, yet they chose to withhold her medicine and kick us out earlier that morning. We rushed Gracie to Bell Parkway Veterinary Hospital, where the amazing, professional staff immediately stabilized her with pain meds, anti-nausea meds, and her therapeutic food. Grand Paws practices patient abandonment and has zero empathy from the front desk down. Avoid them at all costs if you love your pets.
