One of the big draws for us is their very tastefully curated market shop which has everything from costume jewellery, home decor/accoutrements, classy tableware etc. Their name branded Springridge Farm chutneys, BBQ seasonings, rubs and salad dressings are outstanding! Every year they increase their repertoire. They have a ton of other jarred comestibles. They have a lovely bakery/coffee shop on site where you can relax in the garden under the large trees.

Springridge was about a 35 minute drive from our place, so it was an easy decision. We arrived around lunchtime and the place was already quite crowded but fortunately there was plenty of parking. We were all a bit peckish, so lunch was the first order of the day. I decided to go with the Smoky BBQ Pulled Chicken ("Crispy Onions, Chipotle Aioli, Potato Scallion Bun. Served with Kettle Chips") and it was handed to me within a minute of paying. It's a decent sandwich. The less-than-generous amount of pulled chicken is pretty tasty and the fresh, soft bread goes with it perfectly. The kettle chips were tasty, too. The rest of the place is fairly nice, although we were a little surprised at how expensive it is to visit the attractions. With tax, the total for two people came out to $35! It's a little outrageous given that there isn't a whole lot to do back there, although feeding the baby goats was a highlight. (Even that, however, you had to pay extra for.) Springridge is cute enough, though I doubt it's worth almost $100 for a couple hours of entertainment.

Compared to other Apple u-pick places around Toronto, this price is quite steep and I don't think the farm facilities really justify the entry price. The apples were very plentiful but some tree rows were unmarked so it was a little annoying trying to figure out what variety you were picking. The petting zoo was pretty small, and the farm market is also quite small. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but overall I probably would go to another farm with a cheaper entry price.

I went for the strawberry picking with my family and will definitely be coming again and again. Decided it should just be a family tradition at this rate. The prices are great and the fields have PLENTY of strawberries to pick. There was also garlic, potatoes, peas, and my personal favourite, wildflowers. I could easily spend a whole day here. My one year old came out with red strawberry stains all over his face so I think it's safe to say that he had the most fun. They are already bagged but they were not honey crisp apples. Not sweet, not big like honey crisp. And yes they cost more. ...I'm updating this because someone bought me some honey crisp and they are all smaller this year...honey crisp are notoriously large apples but very sweet. These too were smallish but I still thought they were sweeter...I'm giving this place the benefit of a doubt that maybe it was just this year...not hot enough at the right time? ....I'm not an apple grower so I can't say why they were inferior than other years. On another note if give 4 stars just picking their other apples is wonderful. Gala, red delicious, courtland. They have a huge variety which is great! Plus in the back they have produce you can pick too. Convenient if you live near Brampton. But I'll be looking for a new place since I want both types of apples

We also went in late season so the only apples we were allowed to pick were empire apples (good nonetheless)! Entrance fee was $3 and there was a tractor ride, corn maze, and small farm with chickens/rabbits and goats I believe. There is a beautiful cute shop with homemade jams which are delicious and raw honey. It's a great place to go with family and such a fun time! Lots of fun to see and explore. It is the closest farm to Guelph that I have seen so far. No admission but you need to pay for a small or large bouquet of sunflowers. Small is 25 which is what we got. Ensure to bring cash with you--it is a farm afterall! First 20 kids get feed for the animals and additional feed you can get for $2. We fed some goats and sheep, and some some cute little chicklets. They have a cuddling hour with chicklets at 11 however we have lunch and nap conflicts with that . After we went into the beautiful sunflower maze, walked around, took some wonderful pictures (there are curated spots for pictures), and picked up a few sunflowers! My toddler left quite pleased with themselves. Overall a wonderful experience with a wonderful family. Lots to do and great atmosphere. There is also coffee, lemonade & other items for sale but we were not in need.

I have to say, it was very far, but once we reached the outer skirts of Mississauga into Milton, I found the drive very peaceful. The farm is on 165 acres of escarpment countryside, and the current admission is $12/per person over the age of 5 years old. There were plenty of parking spots on the grassy areas, and washrooms are available. Inside the main building is a winery and shop that sells homemade goodies, including tarts, pies, jams, drinks, fresh fruits ... but on the pricey side! I personally can't imagine paying $18.50 for a pie made with lard. A bbq lunch is available on weekends. Note that you can't bring outside food onto the grounds. We brought a lunch but ended up tailgating. We missed the berry picking season (sold by weight), but I was pleasantly surprised to see many chickens running around right at my feet! The baby goats were adorable. They also had pigs, ducks, sheep, and other animals. There were plenty of beautiful dahlias ($2 each), but some of the sunflowers were wilting. In hindsight, early August would have been ideal. We came on a cloudy day but still captured some nice photos. We had an enjoyable afternoon.

We wanted to do something fun with the kids this weekend and decided to check out some apple…read moreorchards. The first one we went to, The Apple Orchard, had a 2 hour wait to get in. See my brief review on that page. We drove past many farms along Derry, so we stopped at Applevale. Unlike some farms that charge both an admission fee and charge for the apples picked, Applevale only requires you to spend a minimum of $20 on apples to gain entry. In terms of Covid precautions, there weren't any except for one sign to stay 2m apart and a bottle of hand sanitizer at the entrance. We spent $20 for a large bag and went on our merry way. There is a map showing which types of apples were located, but once we started walking, we realized that there weren't any signs indicating which apples are which, except for some coloured dots sprayed on some trees. Guess you had to taste each one to know what kind of apples you're picking! There were quick a few families out at the farm, but as you walk further into the orchard, the crowds spaced themselves out. Would've been nice if there was a bathroom, oh well... I would probably go again as the kids had lots of fun running around and eating the apples. The crowds weren't bad, so that's a bonus for me. No one was wearing masks outdoors, only the ladies at the front entrance.
