I recently got insurance thanks to Obama Care after loosing my insurance and becoming disabled in a accident in 2007, which almost resulted in the amputation of my legs. I set up appointment with Dr. Christopher Toupin, M.D. at the above facility. My paper work was processed quickly by his staff. I got in at the time my appointment was scheduled, His staff did the preliminary work, ie Temperature, Blood pressure, and oodles of questions. Dr. Christopher Toupin, came in and went over the questions and got into in depth explanations of each. He is professional, personable, polite and even has a sense of humor. OMG,! He's Human. After telling the staff of the establishment we are denying any cervical check. This is the first time meeting this doctor Dr Pearson obgyn. My partner and I both say no to the exam. She was very uncomfortable He proceeds to fear monger us into saying yes. He went to take my partners measurements and didn't even wait for her to pull her pants down and "helped" pull her underwear. We had to say yes just to get him out of the room. He said "I can tell a lot from a cervical exam that we didn't want including if the umbilical cord is wrapped around the baby's neck even though we just went to the hospital one week prior. Upon calling after the fact the office manager Erica was extreme rude and dismissive to our claims against Dr Pearson and invalidated my opinion until she "heard it from the patient". If you have a partner or daughter pregnant DO NOT go here for your prenatal care. Both ultrasounds were scheduled incorrectly and as the father I was forced to sit out of the first one. And the second clinic they schedule through called 3 days before our appointment to cancel. I spent 150 out of pocket for a safe relaxing ultrasound experience I know it's not the clinic directly however for this many issues this should be addressed. Dr Pearson needs to retire and not practice anymore. We were so uncomfortable that we told the office we would not return. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD AND PARTNER. Jun 11 - i came in for my concerns and annual wellness check/blood draw. went to check out, i asked the receptionist lady if there was a copay and she said no. Jun 18 - follow up to review my test results, one test was missing so they drew my blood again. Went to check out and i asked the guy receptionist if i had a copay he said no. It didn't seem right so I double checked with him and the lady next to him said i do have a $30 copay (so i paid). After a week i called to check on my results cuz i didn't see anything posted on my online account and i was informed my doctor was out and that a doctor needed to review my results with me. They tried to schedule me in office but i asked if it can be a call cuz i didn't want to drive down again. June 27 - got the call from the doctor to review my results (still didn't get why i couldn't just get a copy of my results online, my old Sharp doctor would usually just have the results on my app.) About two weeks later (July 7) i receive a bill for $50(or so) so i called them and they advised that my insurance didn't cover my initial appointment and told me i'd have to reach out to my insurance in regards to my confusion so i did. it looks like the insurance and medical office settled something because the app showed i only owed $30 after a few weeks (July 28) so i paid for it. Aug. 8 i see another bill for 2 different dates for a total of $60 so i called again and the lady on the phone said it was for my first appointment (which i recently just paid for) and my video call (video call that shouldn't have even happened if they didn't mess up on one of my test results). We…read morehave never had a visit that we haven't been sitting and waiting for hours on end, even with a baby with a non-stop bleeding gash in his head that ended up needing 5 stitches. They had us sitting and waiting for a few hours. This last time I came by ambulance with my kid after a motor vehicle accident. I kept refusing treatment and said multiple times that I didn't need medical attention. I was never brought back, did not have any tests done, was not seen by anyone, yet I magically received a $2k bill from the attending doctor that evening. All I did was sit in the waiting room waiting for my kid for 5 hours, yet they "discharged" me with bogus brochures on what to do after a car accident. They didn't even submit it through my insurance and do you know why? Because I was never a patient on that day and did not fill out any paperwork nor get checked in with my info. Guess who else got a $2k bill? My kid. The one who was seen by the doctor, received scans and treatment. I'm going to let my attorney take care of it which they are advising to contest the bill, there are a bunch of crooks here! Don't come here if you can avoid it less you want to be saddled with a bill for services supposedly rendered that you didn't even receive!

With her sense of humor and warmth, she eased my anxiety within minutes. In such a vulnerable moment, that kind of humanity makes all the difference. The medical team was professional, organized, and confident. Even in a highly technical environment filled with equipment, everything felt coordinated and reassuring. I felt safe the entire time. My procedure turned out better than expected, and I went home feeling peaceful and deeply grateful at 10:30 am Thank you for not only doing your job, but for doing it with empathy and heart. During my visit, I experienced excessive wait times, poor communication, lack of follow-up, staff behavior. What was most concerning was lack of communication. I understand that hospitals can be busy and that healthcare professionals work under significant pressure. However, patients and families deserve clear communication, respect, and timely care. In my case, I had to wait 3 days for an MRI after that their wasn't a care plan to follow up. I had to advocate for myself for proper treatment. I am sharing this feedback not simply to complain, but in the hope that management will review these concerns and take steps to improve the patient experience.
