My second trip with April was a land tour of Alaska the last week of August 2025. We went to Anchorage, Talkeetna, Danali NP, Fairbanks, and Seward (for Kenai NP). We always had our own room with bathroom; no single supplement. Sharing is OK if preferred. We had a combination of one-night and 2-night stays. We staying in motels, AirBnBs, and inns. April did all the driving, which was considerable on this trip. She is always helpful with assisting you with your photography. She also was willing to make accommodations for me (I am disabled) including getting me ground floor rooms, loading/unloading my light weight power wheelchair to/from the van when needed, and helping me in and out of the van. She even bought a simple shower stool for me to use. I recommend Aprils trips to everyone. read more

Excellent small group 9 day tour of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. April takes care of everything. All you have to do is show up. She has been going to New England for many years and knows all the best spots for fall foliage, great food and nice accommodations. She also gave me so many tips for taking pictures with my iPhone. Really appreciate all the work April did to plan our trip to the Berkshires for fall color. She was so organized and had several options we could take with maps , routes , etc . April is fantastic as a guide! She knows the areas to which she brings you and shares good tips about how best to capture great photos of what you see. She helped me to see things I did not. We captured wonderful images of colorful fall foliage, waterfalls, covered bridges, rivers, reflections, lighthouses, boats, and churches. We honestly took so many frameable images that I am going to find it tough to determine which to print and frame. We sampled maple syrup, maple ice cream, maple flavored coffee, cider donuts, and special pancakes. We learned about an area's history and culture, and we met some proprietors of beds and breakfasts who are about the friendliest, most gracious hosts you'll ever meet. We are glad to have met April and the others in our small group. April is friendly, funny, warm, resilient, and professional. You will have a good time, and she will take good care of you. From the first day I received the Alaska itinerary from April, the excitement about the trip continued to grow. On August 30, 2019, we left LAX for Anchorage. We had an early morning flight, which placed us in Anchorage at 1:40 pm. This left us a lot of time to explore Alaska on our first day, since the daylight remains intact until 9 pm (AKDT). April chose some very scenic places throughout Alaska for us to tour and take pictures (2,000 plus, may I add). As we drove in a roomy SUV rental car, we were able to stop in quaint eateries, slept in delightful B&B's and lodges, not the traditional hotels/motels, and periodically stopped along the roadside to take glorious pictures of some of the most beautiful landscapes in America. September was a great time to visit Alaska because the weather temp (approximately 74 degrees in the day; 40's in the evenings) was comfortable, the majority of tourist were gone, and driving on the highways and roadways were a delight (especially when compared to those congested freeways, streets and highways in LA). April's familiarity made it comfortable and trustworthy to stop at various locations, and the travel group was so compatible and amenable to everyone's suggestions throughout the trip. I know this cohesiveness made way for the great energy that allowed the Northern Lights to provide a theatrical light show for us on our two-night adventures to see them. And, Mount Denali ([formerly called Mount McKinley], the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level) immaculately displayed herself throughout one of our bus tours. In fact, we were able to take pictures of Denali throughout our entire day's tour, which is not visibly common since she is mostly veiled in clouds and fog. Another night, we traveled to Chena Hot Springs (natural hot springs), where we visited the Ice Museum and later relaxed in our bathing suits in the healing and revitalizing waters of the hot springs. Talk about relaxing. Another perk - each traveler was assigned their own room with bathroom at every lodge. Although everyone got along so well, it was still nice to have your own room to relax and reprocess after the long days. The last couple of days were spent in Seward, where we visited both a rescue aquarium and wildlife center. There was so much to do on this nine-day trip, and so little space to record it for this review. In closing, if I didn't have another destination trip planned for next year, I would truly do the Alaska trip again with April. read more

I've been traveling with April for over 15 years! We first met via a LinkedIn meet-up and have been close friends ever since. We traveled all over the west coast, but this was my first Fall Foliage trip with her - I've been trying to make that happen for years. It was fabulous! April always does her homework and tailors each trip to the group. She packs so much into a day that you'll sit down at the fabulous B&B at the end of each day and marvel that you were in 3 states that day!
