We had heard some positive reviews and decided to stop in. It's not a fancy place - just a down home Mexican restaurant.
Our server came to our table quickly and got our beverage orders. She was also pretty timely taking our order and getting us chips and salsa.
The chips were good and the red salsa was really good.
After we ordered we began thinking we made a mistake coming because we waited 30 minutes for our food and the place was about 1/3 filled. Then we noticed that it looked like they only had our server - taking orders, busing tables, bringing food out - not sure if they were short handed for some reason, but she was working her tail off!
My wife had the Jalisco Burrito which had carne guisada in it. I had some and it was very good. The refried beans were also very good because they had real flavor! The rice was also flavorful, which is refreshing because many places serve bland rice.
I had the fajita chicken taco salad. It was very good. It had refried beans; fajita chicken and onions/peppers; lettuce; tomatoes; and guacamole (I opted out of the sour cream). It was very flavorful and the taco shell was prepared well.
Our server brought us green sauce which was also very good!
We'll come back and hopefully the service issue will be fixed. But for that, it would have been a 5-star. read more
