Our Server Samara (I believe was her name she never introduced her self but had a gold chain with what I assume was her name) was very inexperienced and had a mouth on her, passive aggression is a poor trait in food service. We were a large group and she obviously could not handle a party that large and someone should have come in to help her. Food was very low quality. Street tacos were somewhat ok, but steak plates were over cooked, birria burnt and greasy, chips were horrendous and old, just not great food with subpar service. The Vibe of the place was off since we entered. The 20% grat is customary, I know, however, every place that does it warns patrons of it through their servers. SHE DID NOT and some of my family members ended up tipping on top of the mandatory grat. Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen, but this one is very low on quality and service.

If you're looking for salsa that tastes like it was scooped straight out of Satan's cast iron…read moreskillet, this is your place. We spent about $34 for two people, shared the quesabirria tacos, got one fajita taco, a cup of sweet rice, two drinks, paid an extra $2 for a tiny serving of sour cream, and $5.50 for dessert. The only thing that actually impressed us was the quesabirria tacos. The salsa bar, though? Every single salsa was so ridiculously hot that you couldn't actually enjoy the flavor. It didn't just set your mouth on fire--it felt like it burned all the way to your stomach the second you swallowed it. Some heat is great. This was more like a dare than a condiment. Then there were the drink cups. The lids sitting out in the dining room didn't even fit the cups they gave us. We had to tell them before they brought us different cups. It honestly made us wonder if the mismatched lids were supposed to keep people from getting refills or taking their drink home. The fajita taco was disappointingly plain, especially for the price. By the time we added the extras, this meal definitely didn't feel like a good value. Unless your taste buds have wronged you and you're looking for revenge, I'd skip the salsa bar. We'll be taking our appetite--and our stomach lining--somewhere else next time.
