Leora then informed us of the following: "I read through your draft several times and appreciate the additions you made to the script to reflect your values and beliefs. Unfortunately, my beliefs and values don't align, therefore I don't believe I'm the best fit for you. However, while Leora appears to offer a very inclusive environment for all couples, I can say that this does not appear to be the case for ALL interfaith couples. Susan was reasonably priced, and she was there promptly. I was a little bit concerned about how short the ceremony took, but it was perfect. I guess I didn't respond in a time that was convenient for her? The messages that followed seemed really pushy and a bit rude. I said that I no longer needed the services and she called me "Stupid." Personally, I had to do what's right for myself and the energy wasn't right so I didn't want to book. It's as simple as that and my decision should have been respected as a customer. Glad I followed my gut because I know officiants can't legally charge more than $50 for the service but this company quoted me $100 for some obscure travel fees. Edit: I added a screen shot of her calling and two angry voicemails later...threatening to sue me if I don't take down my review. Personally, I'm not even mad or upset. I'm happy I didn't book her and I want others to be able to make well-informed decisions based on my truth. That's the beauty of all this.
