My husband and I got married by Steven at the Blue Jacket Brewery in DC in May 24, 2019. Before planning our wedding with Pop! Wed, we considered having a big wedding with our family and friends in our home state, WV, but the idea of spending more than $5,000 for a wedding made us sick. After sharing the idea with our close friends and family, we decided Pop! Wed was the BEST decision. Well 6 months later, I'm proud I made the decision to book our wedding with Pop! WED. Maggie and Steven were so accommodating to our needs and answered every question and concern I had. I was not disappointed with our experience and I had to do it again I would definitely keep Pop! Wed as my number one choice. Barbara, our photographer, was amazing and made me feel comfortable in front of the camera which isn't an easy task. Sarah was very sweet initially. I only knock off stars because she misspelled almost 1/3 of my…read morewedding guests - over 30 people! She did apologize though but she wasn't willing to redo them since that would be a lot more time & money for her. I also didn't notice and point it out to her until 4 days later. I had typed up the list of guests and so she just wasn't careful when looking at the list and doing the calligraphy. I think she was rushing. The names were also not that hard - Michael was spelled Micheal and my best friend Catherine was written with a K (!?!). I would just recommend checking the spelling immediately before accepting the package. I have to say though - the calligraphy was really pretty and you get what you pay for. If I had paid more for a high end calligrapher they probably would have not misspelled as many people or at least would have redone them, but it would have cost a lot more, and I still got a pretty product. Also Sarah was right in that no one noticed, or at least they didn't say anything to me about the misspellings on my wedding day! So it bothered me initially but wasn't everything. Bottom Line: Sweet person, pretty calligraphy, not good at following directions to spell names correctly, and definitely won't correct any of her mistakes at least if you have already paid her.
