So my daughter and I went here today, the first girl that started helping us was nice and said to…read moreus there are fitting rooms if you want to try anything on and walked away. My daughter picks out 2 costumes and says she's going to go try them on. I continue looking around for a couple of minutes then walk to the fitting rooms. I'm in the last isle kind of out of sight and another employee comes to help someone try a costume on a didn't realize my daughter was in there. So she starts talking to her through the curtain and tells my daughter who's 9 btw that she was supposed to ask someone to assist her. So I'm sitting there listening and I notice a sign behind a Halloween character that can barely be seen. So then she tells my daughter, the reason why you're supposed to ask for help is because we don't allow people to try every part of the costume and you have on the tights and we don't allow people to try on tights and that's why the sign is posted. So now I had to let presence be known and I said oh you mens the sign that is covered and then she tells me there's signs right there too pointing at 2 other signs that only say 2 costumes per person thank you. So I sat back patiently waiting for my daughter to take the costume she showed me off and the lady asked her did she want to try on the other and I said no we are not trying anything else on. So then and other employee walks up and this same rude employee says to her there have been nothing but problems today. We walked out and purchased a costume at spirit instead they had an attendant at the dressing room helping people out and my daughter was also allowed to try on the tights. Much more pleasant experience there.

I'm guessing the manager there doesn't care how the store looks compared to other Halloween stores in the area . They hardly have anything in stock . Not worth going to when other stores have more merchandise and friendlier employees . While in line for my purchase the employees clustered around the register were to busy gossiping about each other and not helping people with their " fitting room" to try costumes on . The fitting room is just a bit sketchy and I certainly wouldn't let my kid in there

There were at least 6 people walking around asking if people needed help which was nice. But then I went to stand in what I thought was the line, the person at the cash register barked at me. The the security dericted me to the line. The line was in an isle of costumes and that is ackward. While I was standing there people are trying to reach for costumes. I got to the front and a worker asked if she should open a register and the asstistant manager said no. Apperantly she thought it was fine to have a long line and have people wait. I finally got to pay. She bagged everything then realized she forgot an item. She asked if I wanted it. I said yes and she rolled her eyes like it was my fault she didn't ring it up. She didn't apologize for making me swipe my card twice or for making a mistake. All she did was yell "next" as I was still standing there. Which by the way she didn't have to do because she was the only cash register open! We are not retarded! One person leaves the other walks up. It's easy....

My granddaughter is 5 years old, and she believed that it was AppleJack straight from the cartoons. The performer was incredible. She not only embodied Apple Jack in look, she spoke the same and even knew the lore about where she lived, games she liked to play, etc. We've had Disney performers in the past, which have been great. But, this one really takes the cake. She helped create lifelong memories that I know my granddaughter daughter cherish.

I received a few different calls to confirm the party so everything seemed on track. On the day of the party, the balloon artist showed up without the character. Our character made a mistake and had her parties mixed up so she was over an hour late. The balloon artist kind of just walked around and made balloon animals for the kids but it was awkward with no character. Since our character was so late, some kids had to leave when she was just arriving. We were building up the anticipation but by then we discovered it would be well over another hour, so the kids got in the pool instead and were well into playing and not really into the entertaining by the time the character did arrive. Overall the character was great once the kids heard her singing. Balloon artist was kind of a waste of money since it was a little awkward having someone walk around making balloons without the entertainer. Kind of a bummer it played out that way. Mistakes do happen but no one even reached out to explain anything, I just received an invoice to pay with a slight discount which I still paid.

A positive thing is that the parking lot outside is shared amongst other business so you should have no issues finding a spot. However, going inside the store is a different story. Aisles are often disorganized with random items shoved on shelves or seemingly thrown on the floor. There are often piles of boxes left in the middle of some sections, blocking stocked items from view -- these boxes tend to be too heavy for customers to move themselves. Employees here are generally nice but not super helpful if you need something. Maybe because the things I need are probably in one of the random boxes tossed in a random section of the store. The only benefit this location has is its proximity to my house. Otherwise, it's difficult for me to find all the things that I need, resulting in me either buying the item online or going to a more organized/ well/stocked JOANN location.

Lover's Paradise in Sherman Oaks!…read more Kreepy Halloween in Sherman Oaks is the spot for everything spooky! From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by an incredible selection of costumes, decorations, and animatronics -- it honestly feels like Halloween heaven. Parking is also extremely easy, it's attached to a small shopping center with a free parking lot right in front.
