Just moved but my time spent at Fairways was wonderful. All of my maintenance requests were handled with haste and our pleas were never unanswered. I'd absolutely move here again if we didn't need more space. Our neighbors on the 8633 side were always nice and we never had any issues. Thank you so much Fairways! read more

I just moved out of this apartment, and can't say enough good things about my experience here. The location is nice with it being tucked away and quiet. It's next to a golf course, but still close enough to everything my roommate and I needed. The apartment itself was spacious and well maintained. The management is super responsive - any maintenance requests I've submitted have been handled promptly and quickly. But the real stars of the show were Quan and Tony. They were always so helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported. Even on move out day they saw us struggling to carry some heavy items and jumped in to lend a hand. Overall would recommend these apartments. Never had an issue big enough to recall. read more

He answered all of my questions, and the apartment looked great. Loved living here! Wish we didn't have to move, but buying a home was our next journey in life. We were always taken care of and enjoyed the fact that staff always made us feel like friends rather than just residents. You can definitely tell who actually cares and goes above and beyond to help with whatever is going on. I remember once overhearing a conversation where the staff were taking about sending flowers to a resident because of something they were going through. What landlord does that? Ones that care! The only draw back is yes, some bad apples will be bad apples every now and then. But I have lived in many places in many states and have never NOT had a neighbor/ neighbors who were annoying or rude. That's life..so yea. Were in a city, diversity exists! I read the other reviews on here and have to completely disagree with their stand. The noise is not at all out of the ordinary, in fact I found the walls were great! the ceiling and floor however, was the issue, especially if you had runners or heavy footed people above you. But again, that's normal. I liked that some neighbors were trying to be involved and get to know us, as it creates a stronger sense of community and it's nice knowing someone has your back. Yes, the building is older, but it always seemed like they were still working on the building as a whole. Every month it seemed there was something new going on or renovated. So between the awesome staff, continued progress on the aesthetics, and more often than not lovely neighbors this place was a great experience for us!!! read more

We moved in at the end of July 2017 and were pleased to get our preferred room layout and whatnot. The appliances are great, the granite is great, but there are a lot of minor damages that didn't get fixed before we moved in. Pieces of the door frame are chipped in places, some of the bathroom accessories are cheap and fall apart easily, and we had a leak in our sealing from the patio of the apartment above us - it dripped during the first big rainstorm we had in the apartment and there is discoloration in that spot on the ceiling. Some of the windowsills and areas of carpet have some damage as well. We can hear our fourth floor neighbors simply walking above us at all times of the day, something that they cannot obviously help doing, so we blame it on the thinness of the floors and ceiling. The elevator needs updating - the doors and walls and floor are damaged and some of the buttons are cracked and don't light up. We were told when we moved in that a FOB system would be getting put in place so the pool and hot tub and workout area - which is very disappointing as it is only two treadmills and two ellipticals - would be accessible outside of office hours. AS we found out from our neighbors, they were told the same thing when they moved in 5 months before us, so this is very disappointing. There was also very obvious miscommunication between the residents and the tenants when the parking lot was being repaved this summer. An email was sent and flyers were posted in the elevators, but they neglected to tell tenants what time to vacate the lot on the days specified as construction days. Since no time was specified, I presumed we had to be out of the lot at a reasonable time, such as 7-7:30, when most people leave for work, which I understand was the presumption of a lot of tenants. This was not the case, and I got a call at 6am that I was to move my car immediately or I would be towed. I was fortunately able to do so, but I saw many cars being towed very soon after I moved my own. 3/4 of the parking lot was still full when I moved my car, so I assume that the majority of the tenants thought they could leave for work at their normal time as NO TIME TO VACATE BY was provided. The paving had to be extended another day because of this delay, but this could have easily been prevented with better communication. Another concern is how the side doors are often propped open with rocks by the tenants, meaning anyone can get into the building! This is a major safety concern for me and I make a point to move the rocks when I see them in the doors. All main entrances to the living areas require keys to enter (not the lobby area or main office during their hours). However, the pool area is very nice, and the office staff are very nice and very speedy when it comes to questions and concerns. I would say that while the establishment is very nice looking and in a great area, MUCH improvement can be made. read more

Way overpriced, paper thin walls, residence are not great. My husband and I had an old lady creep on us and know where we were moving to when we were moving from a first level home to a second level. Also we had two young African American people come right into our apartment and start looking around our living room and telling my husband and I that there cousin lives in our apartment when we were telling them to get the hell out of our place. Management did nothing about it. Then there was a shooting which management also didn't address. Management is constantly having you move your car from the parking lot in the most inconvenient times possible and if you fail to do so they tow it at your expense. If you're looking for a dangerous location, that is way overpriced or a scam, then be my guest. But I wouldn't recommend it. read more

My spouse and I have lived at the Fairways for 17 months. We rent a three bedroom and with our pets and garage spaces we pay about $2000/month. I have tried really hard to be okay with living at the fairways, unfortunately, it's just an over priced, under-delivered apartment. Here are my observations: Pros: Cheap underground parking - we pay $95 collectively for two underground spots... which is almost unheard of to begin with. We LOVE our apartment itself. It's clean, re-painted, quiet (3rd Floor, corner), a nice balcony, and big! Location - we are big golfers, so that's obviously a plus! It's also easy to get on all the major highways. It's a great location. Storage Units- ample storage units available for month - to - month rent. It's a great amenity. Quiet neighbors - our neighbors are great, they're quiet, similar schedules, no children, no parties, etc. Cons: The grounds themselves are NOT well kept. The garbage and recycling are always over flowing The garage always has garbage lying all over the ground The walls of the stairwell coming up from the garage are peeling, showing what looks like mold. There is water leaking into the garage The garage door is often broke, and instead of replacing the garage door opener with something that is respectable, the maintenance team fixes the garbage. The door handles! ALL THE DOOR HANDLES ARE BROKE. In the garage, storage unit, entry doors, etc. It's so frustrating. The elevator is consistently broke as well. The office has to "reset" it often. And when it is working, it is extremely slow. It literally feels like it will break down at any point during your verrrrrryyyyyyyy sssslllllooowww ride up. So, either you walk past the moldy walls, or risk taking the elevator up. Your choice. The storage room my closets are in - the door has been broken since we started renting. The lights don't work, there is cardboard and broken tiles all over the floor, it just looks like someone started a construction project and never finished. The halls always smell of marijuana and cigarettes, even though it's a "smoke free community" The management team: Kristina is the only constant. She's always kind, helpful, understanding. This team likes to put new rules, ordinances, bylaws in order... but they never enforce them! - Pool closes at 9, there was a party One night that went well past 9. It was loud, and I wrote to the office asking what they were going to do to ensure that this doesn't happen again. They're response : "You are correct that the pool closes at 9 pm and we have hopes that our residents will be respectful but unfortunately some are not " ... that does absolutely nothing to solve the problem. Instead, on this instance, they closed the pool for a week. When I wrote to the office about the party, I also complained about my most receipt maintenance request. I've had issues with my balcony, as it's infested with wasps. Deeming a portion of my apartment inhabitable. Maintenance came, and left a can of wasp spray, and left no notes that I could see. I asked the office team to come up with another solution. They said someone would come out 10 days later & I gave permission for them to enter my apartment ... no one came. I contacted the office days after they were supposed to have a pest control office in there, and asked for a confirmation that someone came, it was the next day that Miranda called and said that someone was coming the very next day. How convenient. There are so many issues with this community, but at some point you just have to move forward, and not look at the negative. However, I would not recommend moving to the Fairways at this time. I will update my post with photos when I can. **If things improve I will update my review. read more

Keep looking! I know that nice apartments are hard to find in Brooklyn Park but I wouldn't recommend living here. I lived at in the Brooklyn Park location from 1/1/13 to 7/15/13. It was my first experience in apartment living in 15 years so I wasn't sure what to expect. Anyway, like the other reviewer said looks can be very deceiving...I would spend way more time onsite getting "the feel" of the place. Most of the people (and their kids) they rent to seem to be utter pigs. They have no problem dumping their trash wherever and whenever and they don't pick up after their animals. There was always trash in the stairwells and in the common areas. The pool often looked like the trash cans had overflowed everywhere. The walls are thin and you can hear people in the halls and doors slamming, also loud music that they do nothing about. In 7 mos. they had 3 different managers...the office staff doesn't seem to know anything about anything so you have to work with a manager for every issue. I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned and am pursuing action in small claims court. I have been told multiple times that the check was sent. Supposedly, the first check was sent to the apartment I had just moved out of even though I wrote my forwarding address down and handed it to the manager. Now, I have been told several times over the course of a month that they are overnighting a new check but I have not received anything. I am happy to be out of there and am hoping that through the court system I will get the money they own me. read more

Looks can be deceiving. First of all when we moved in the apartment was supposed to be painted and it wasn't. It was supposed to be clean and it wasn't. There were BUGS under the microwave above the stove and behind the stove. Many areas were not clean. Overall, It looks nice but the noise travels. We had a beautiful spacious 2 bedroom apartment on the golf course. However, it was also next to the stair well. THe master bedroom faced the stairwell and everytime the door slammed the wall shook. Our neighbors had a big door that you could hear barking and you could hear the neighbor above us on the phone. Maintenance always came to fix things right away but I think there was more work then they could keep up with. Tenants throw their garbage on the ground and many of them don't pick up after their dogs. This apartment complex takes all pets but they can't seem to enforce people picking up their dog poop. For me the worst part was management. We had 3 different apartment managers while we were living there and they are completely unwilling to negotiate your lease or work with you. I left feeling as though we were not people/tenants but just a rent check. Not too mention that when we recieved our deposit there was money missing and they did a horrible job returning my calls and explaining to me why $90 was taken out of our deposit. I am still working with them to give me a breakdown of why money is missing. I originally called the apartment manager about 3 weeks ago and he himself has still not returned my phone call. I would choose a complex with better management and better business. Good luck. read more
