Waited on a specific position I applied for and was told they'd get back to me. Never heard back from Candice Gamboa. I had to reach out to her to get an update. I didn't care if it was a no-go as long as I was informed. She said she was working on it. The position became opened somehow and my resume was submitted to her client, I was immediately interviewed, hired the same day by the company, and started the job the following Monday. The experience was horrible. The company they sent me to was very unprofessional and toxic. The person who was training me was talking crap about other coworkers to me, and talking about drugs and inappropriate things. I knew I wasn't going to last there as I was looking for something long-term away from toxic environment like that. I resigned from the job and contacted Candice. She never replied. At first she was responding quickly to my messages when the job started, after I inquired about my paycheck--she ghosted me. She never responded until I reached out to someone else in the office and she made up some excuse or lie about not replying. The other person I spoke to in their office said she was there all week. Go figure. I made a complaint about her..hopefully in the future there wouldn't be any waste of time such as this. Try somewhere else that actually responds.

The neighborhood where this JobSource is strategically placed, is a great location serving the needs of the unfortunate unemployed. And though I may not be a resident of that Huntington Park area, that didn't stop JobSource from saying "HELLO, how may we help you!" I went to JobSource to complete my Application process that I began at their Lincoln Heights facility. The Huntington Park Staff here was fast, courteous, professional, and very busy. "If you're so satisfied," you say, "Then why the FOUR Stars and not Five?" Well, I'll tell ya! Remember initially I said I don't dole out compliments so easily? Remember? OK, all I can say is, one bad apple can spoil the whole crate. There was one employee who had 'Not-So-Good' service manners. I will not name her. All that aside, you need help in getting placed? I have never worked for a staffing agency so this was my first time and the person that I had direct contact with, Ana Cruz, was terrible. Communication was terrible. Instructions terrible and now that I am trying to submit my hours she is continuously shorting me hours claiming that we took lunch BUT I NEVER DID smh. She was never there on site to help us through the process or to check if we were getting proper breaks/lunch. She assumed that the other agencies would do that, but every time I requested if I should be going on lunch they would tell me that they'll tap me out for lunch and they never did smh. Just disappointed in this rep I had and she really did not represent Kelly Services well. this is the first and last time I will be going through Kelly Services and Ana Cruz. She ruined this experience for me and not worth it at the end of the day.

Never thought I'd be talked out of going with a hiring agency before. Was just going over options…read morethat would be a good fit for both me and the agency and was quickly turned away after a 4 minute phone call. I could've sent another resume, I could've presented other skills that would apply, I could've adjusted my time frame but she did not really want to work with me and just wanted to get off the phone. I guess you get what you pay for. I have a degree and desireable skills that would translate to a variety of professional options, especially in manufacturing. Just moved here from out of state, too. But she did mention there were other agencies, so I will be checking those other ones out. I recommend everyone else do the same.
