I have been shopping here for 15+ years I believe maybe even more or less I'm not sure how long they have been open but this was always my go to. Everyday after work for years I would stop by here on my lunch break or after work to buy their stuff since they had a lot of good choices. The owner Paul knew me and he would always say hi to me and so did the Hispanic lady but she was kinda rude and always staring at me in an uncomfortable way but the main one that hurt was the young man who would always ring me up Everytime I would come through to J mart to buy alcohol and cigarettes after a long heavy shift. This young cashier I don't know his name but he's always there would always be so nice to me and even called me his "bruddddaaaahhhh" (brother ) Everytime I went to purchase something . A few months ago I went in and was looking for a cheap drink so I looked at the little shot bottles the 99 proof ones I believe which are only likee 1 dollar and 80 cents maybe a little more. When I didn't find my debit card in my wallet and realized I could not purchase what I wanted about 4 dollars worth of alcohol I went back in the aisle and put the little shot bottles back. But I was getting starred at In a disrespectful way as of they thought I was going to steal . I would never be stupid enough to steal from that store in my freaking life are you kidding me ?!?! If they catch you stealing they take your picture from the surveillance footage and print it out and post it in the front therefore i would never be stupid enough to steal from there I wouldn't steal im general wtf. So I left that day when I couldn't find my debit card. I go back a few weeks later when I have cash and try to buy a mini shot bottle and a pack of cigarettes, however when I go to pay the young man who works there and calls me his "brudddaaa" (brother) every time I would go in looks at me and says " I can't sell to you because you stole my boss saw you ". I was straight up flabbergasted and felt so disrespected, even after I swore I didn't steal because I'm not about that or would be stupid enough to do that he still was convinced I was a thief, wtf!? And then when I told the cashier who didn't wanna sell to me " can I please see the security footage where it shows me stealing " his response was "why should I show you" I was livid and I mean livid after the thousands of dollars I speant on my vices and groceries at Jefferson market you are going to call me a theif when you have no proof and refuse to sell to me!? That Is so messed up, therefore be careful when shopping there because if you look suspicious or for whatever reason and they aren't feeling you they will be quick to misjudge you and make you feel like a piece of crap, that's why I say F U Jefferson market, Paul maybe if you'll are really worried about people stealing you should buy a sensor and alarm for the door that goes off Everytime an unpaid item or product from your store walks out that door, don't be a cheap owner and embarrass innocent costumers, lol so I guess my new go to liquor store is going to be Lawler's lol that's okay I'm good with that plus they have good food I hear and I have yet to try it screw you Jefferson market sorry not sorry,

Unacceptable Customer Abuse and Non-Existent Management Accountability…read more I frequent this Raley's location several times a week due to proximity, strictly to shop sales and the $5 Monday deals, as the store is otherwise consistently overpriced. My experience on Monday at 3:00 PM was entirely unacceptable and exposed a severe lack of employee training and management competence. While trying to locate a $5 Monday promotional item (barbecue pork) listed on the store app as being in Meat Department Bay 13, I asked two separate employees for assistance. Neither employee knew what "Bay 13" meant. The second employee went to the back of the meat department to get help. The meat department worker who emerged was immediately hostile and defensive. He claimed he also did not know what "Bay 13" was, and when I specified the product, he bluntly stated they were out of stock. When I remarked that it should not have taken three separate employees to figure out an item was unavailable, the worker escalated the situation. He told me that if I did not like it, I did not need to shop there. He then walked over to a female customer he appeared to know and openly said to her, "Do you see the type of rude asshole customers I have to deal with?" When I directly confronted him about the insult, he attempted to deny it, then became aggressively belligerent, argumentative, and hateful. He used the store PA system to call for the store manager twice, but no one responded. I walked away to find management myself. An employee claiming to be the store manager accompanied me back to the meat department to address the situation. Even in front of his supervisor, the meat department employee remained arrogant, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. The breakdown in store operations only grew worse from there: False Management Identification: The employee who claimed to be the store manager was not. Absentee Leadership: After checking out, I found the "manager" speaking to the actual Assistant Store Manager--the person who had completely ignored the emergency PA pages minutes prior. Dismissive Attitude: When I detailed the worker's hateful behavior and asked if Raley's condones employees verbally abusing customers, the Assistant Store Manager gave a generic response that she would "talk to him." Nobody in leadership treated this targeted verbal assault with any degree of urgency or seriousness. The meat department employee lacks basic communication skills, zero professionalism, and common sense. The management team at this location is utterly useless and indifferent to customer abuse. A formal complaint has been filed with corporate customer service, and this location needs immediate intervention.
