There was swimming, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, karaoke, arts/crafts, yoga , boot camp etc. (when the camp is run for children in the summer they also have archery, horseback riding, zip line, high ropes course, etc) The only thing that could have been a little better were the bathrooms (a little TLC,paint and bleach would be great). The food is typical cafeteria style and selection.

What they lack in the "grand" camp experience they make up for in personalized attention…read more They do not have the biggest campus, nor a lake. They have a smaller overall experience than a Jeff Lake or a Meadowbrook. Given that they don't quite have as much to offer, their price point is a touch high. However, they justify their price by having a smaller camper to counselor ratio. They are also better equipped to handle "special" or "difficult" campers, as they have the right people in place to ensure that all kids have fun and that all kids have a wonderful experience together. Furthermore, the staff takes time to give reports and updates on the experiences of each individual camper, and could not be better with parent communication. My son comes home with a smile and a great experience. He's happy and that makes me happy. They offer pick-up and drop-off right at your door. They even offer a small extended before and after camp program right at the JCC in West Orange.

In Giborim, you get to plan your own schedules. However, the staff had trouble appealing to the wide age ranges campers during unity events. As a fourth grader, I should not be forced to be forced to do head, shoulders, knees, and toes, as well as other childish games during Boker Tov aka their meet and greets! Bus rides to and from camp can be 45-60 minutes each way. Unit shelters are also very dirty, especially during or after rain storms. The food was also mediocre, and parents must comply with the camp's own "definition" of Kosher if they want to pack lunches. I was given a marshmallow fluff sandwich as an alternative lunch when my salad was soggy, which is far from healthy.

I quickly realized it was one of the best descisions I've made throughout my 10 years of being an equestrian. I love the "barn family" atmosphere. It feels less like a business and more like a stable where everyone helps out one another and has fun doing it. There's hardly any negative attitude at this barn and there are no irresponsible horse owners either. As for the boarding aspect, I have nothing bad to say. The owner and her helpers treat my horse, and everyone else's horses as if they were their own. Horses are outside most of the time, bugs and weather permitting, in small groups. Stalls are always clean, water buckets always washed, and the stable itself feels clean and has a professional feeling. Before I found this barn, whenever I was at a barn for a significant amount of time (6 in total), I would always still research other farms to see where else I could ride and board at. But since being at this farm for over a year and a half, I haven't even considered it. This place is the best.

(On Father's Day, no less. When I was hoping I could keep up with my kids and at least finish the "advanced elevation" course.) That being said... we had an absolute blast. (Myself and the Mrs. were beaten and bruised and battered and sore afterwards, but we loved it.) The weather wasn't ideal (cold and rainy) but I think that was a blessing in disguise. The workers and guides were all incredible. (They were all supportive, friendly, and passionate about the adventure we were about to jump into.) Each course got a wee bit higher and more challenging and within the actual course I appreciated their 'method to the madness' - they'd break up the taxing (physical) stuff with a zipline as a 'breather' before you had to start to hustle again on some crazy shifting logs or cargo netting. As someone with a bit of experience over the years (ziplining at Hunter Mountain, Ausable Chasm in the Adirondacks, TreeEscape at Mt. Creek) FLG X was by far the most exacting. (But take that with a grain of salt... if you're not in the AARP age range - like myself - you might have a blast and be able to reach the Black Course, including those daunting monkey bars!) Worth every penny, for sure. (Pro tip: make sure you bring or buy a pair of rugged gloves... they're essential.) "GUIDE! GUIDE! GUIDE!"

Im also horrified of heights but i was determined I went through a brief video about the corse and some safety. The young lady from the desk gave a excellent training on safety and proper use of the equipment Then my wife and i was introduced to Matthew our guide Matthew explained everything step by step as we went along My wife had plenty of experience and with Matthew we felt safe for myself and my wife I took my time climbing the latter and Matthew assured me i secured and safe He really gained my trust . I had to take my time and rest for two to five min at a time and Matthew really gave me the confidence i needed to continue Im 60 years old i not old but iam a little broken lol I was a little dehydrated i needed water i thought i was in trouble but no Matthew asked one of the other highly trained staff to get me a bottle of water After that i zipped a few times with no issues i was doing really good. But my arms were going dull because of some prior injuries Matthew helped go down the ladder and i was ok Matthew is a very calm individual professional who knows what he is doing you can tell he had the best training. He really made my experience great I have to add it wasn't very busy so thank god The staff is excellent and these young men and women run a tight ship safety is their priority and second is for their guest to enjoy themselves. The zip line course is great for any level my wife said this was the best one yet and she has been to many. If i can do it i think most people can to Use common sense, listen to the guides they are there for you I cant ever do this ever again because of my injuries of a bad accident i had in 2011 but this was on my bucket list I always wanted to scuba dive but that dream is only a dream But i got to zip line and at no point at all i wasn't in any kind of danger Thank you Matthew for doing your job above and beyond of any on my expectations The harness and the clips and all the safety equipment are the best . You have to listen to the guides have common courtesy and have patience and use the equipment properly and pay attention to what you are doing Its not all to difficult trust me im not to bright and i had a great time Matthew you are a true champ and you will succeed anything you do. I will be for ever grateful i will be recommending this FLG X to everyone. One more important thing thank you so much for making sure my wife and the rest of the quests are safe and everyone was enjoying themselves Great corse also. The corse and zip line are the best its a must try All the staff are professionals and they all will keep you safe Thank you guys so much forever grateful for the experience CHEF RAMOS
